  • Happy Tuesday print fam. Today we have a bunch to do. Business cards, hand sanitizer labels, shirts, and hats. I messed up on a few of the white toner hats. I used some kapton tap to try and remove the design the best I could. It did a good job for the most part and I was able to reuse all the hats. I did find out a few days later that it was sticking because my paper was getting too hot. Just be more patient than I was. The shirts turned out awesome, I'm so happy that I purchase the uninet icolor 600. At the end of the video, I cover the profit from the white tone job.

    Hi, I am looking to set up a little print shop like yours in my house and am wondering, with the heat press, do you have to set up the electricity so that the outlet you use has its own designated breaker? I saw something about that somewhere else. tks!

      It turned out nice. I need more practice with it. Robert gave it away as a gift, I'll see if he can follow up on it. I personally don't mind the "feel" of the white toner or htv. It's different than screen printing, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Just different. I've never had a customer complain.

    Will the 600 print print/cut registration marks? I would like to cut prints from it on my Roland gs24...if it will read them. Yes, I know, not ideal, because I'd have to load each sheet, but the 600 opens up doors for sublimation and printing for garments without the constant maintenance and wasted ink of an inkjet machine. The sheet cutter Uninet used to sell (Graphtec makes the only one I can find now) is $5k, I really don't want to spend IF I can make do cutting labels and decals I can print on the 600 with my Roland. The inkjet maintenance is was put off the combo of a BN20 and a Sawgrass for sublimation.

    • @ttms
      @ttms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The icolor 600 is just a printer. It can print the reg marks, but you'd need a separate cutter. You can use a roll feed cutter, you just have to manually load each sheet.

    What’s the difference from the UniNet 550 and 600?

    • @ttms
      @ttms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The main difference is the size that you can print. The 550 can do 8.5x14 and the 600 can do 11x17. They can both swap toner places, get sublimation toners, etc. To me, it was about size and doing more at one time. I have a video coming that talks about all the reasons why I purchased the 600.

  • @danieldominguez6870
    @danieldominguez6870 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So most people I see hmuse the 550...your really the only TH-camr I see using the 600...I like the 600 but I thought I saw something that the 600 is being discontinued? Have you heard that? Also are the toner cartridges for the 600 different from the 550? Just concerned if I get the 600 going to have issues getting toner in the future. Your insight would be appreciated.

    • @ttms
      @ttms  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would guess that they may discontinue in the future but I don't see why they'd stop making the toner any time soon. That's how they make most of their money, selling supplies. If anything they'd stop the 600 to only have the 800. The toner in the 600 is different than the 550. I like the 600, but at this point, if I were to do it again, I'd get the 550. My main focus is the small left chest, sleeve, and hat logos. The 550 would be a better fit for me. I'd buy it from here - timetomakesomething.com/icolor (the new version was just released, it's the 560)
