@@joseguerra3989i got flowmaster exhaust kit installed on mine and yes; the check engine light did go off but most of the time. It’s an issue with the electronic device not being reset; and not actually a problem with the engine itself.
The 40 series is exactly what I’m look for for my 02 4.6 f150. I also have true duals from the cats that kick out before the tire, and it has about 2.5’ of 3” pipe then about 1’ of 3.5” pipe. I’m gonna try taking out the rear cats and adding the 40 serious mufflers to make it sound deeper I think, and then add real tips too.
I have a 98 the same colors as the blue one. Technical name is teal metallic on sliver metallic which has grown on me quite a bit. It has the 5.4 with the same factory four cat setup but I had true dual cat back pipes with 3.5 inch stainless tips and flowmaster super 44 mufflers. True duals the whole way. Quiet enough to sneak into the woods for hunting seson and not drive you crazy with drone on the highway but still have that nice deep tone that lets people know your there.
Gotta do a rear car delete with 20 inch glasspacks! That’s what’s on mine n it’s enough to make a guy happy! Quiet when you’re driving normal and when you get on it, loud enough that a guy is happy!
Got ole trailer hitch on the back they going to love breathing in the exhaust fumes while hooking up the trailer!!! For me I like it side corners because its not in your face.
On my 1995 C1500 I have a Flowmaster 40 original, no cat and a 3” pipe off the factory y and it’s dumped before the axle. It is so damn loud 😂 makes me confused when I see other trucks with the Flowmaster 40 and they’re so quiet
Well I mean almost every time somebody has exhaust dumped before the axle under the truck it makes it louder because the vibrations and sound Reflections bounce off of the floor and off the bottom of the vehicle making it a little bit louder
@@The_Crasher-xj4el If you know that, then idk what youre "confused about" You said you dont know why yours is louder and I just told you why. Contradicting your own self. Lmao
option which doesn’t get a whole lot of press with these trucks unless you try to find people who own these vehicles. I have personal experience with with these engines; they are very reliable if taken care of, but can also tolerate neglect a little better than the V8 models because of the old school design of this engine. No overhead cams; the spark plugs are on the side of the heads; no coils on plugs; good old fashioned spark plug wires.
They both sound decent but could use high flow cats for a deeper sound. Nice work as always gentlemen👍👍
Like the flowmaster 40's. Nice deep tone.
Only way I got any sounds out of my 4.6 was putting high flow cats on it. Really helped it a lot
What was the name of the cats you put on it? I’m tryna get some noise outta my truck too
@@basicallyjayden1 just whatever the muffler shop had in stock honestly
How much were your high flow cats and did your engine light come on?

Will that throw a check engine??? Did you have to do anything after putting high-flow cats? Also did you use 2 or all 4
I have the same green truck but a 97 man so clean. Love it!
High temperature in that second f150 LOL
Both those trucks are really clean and sound good.
Nothing clean about eBay LEDs on a 10th gen lmao
The exhaust pipes look pretty restrictive.
Its a n/a car nerd boy….
Those 4.6's don't move a lot of air stock. It's fine.

You guys do awesome work, and always sound so happy and pleased to do whatever the customer wants. Love your content. Its soothing to say the least
Great video comparison of the two mufflers side by side. I went with the HP2, I just wanted a touch of that Flowmaster distinctive sound.

Looks like the blue truck was over heating
Flowmaster 40 series sounds good on my 5.7 Hemi💪🏽
damn, both those trucks look about as clean under em as mine
Man they both sound great!

How come they don't make it independent like separate them from the engine?
The 4.6 is the greatest v8 ever made. Don't at me
How much is the cost on 40 series? The red ford.
I wana hear the hp2 with headers no cats see how much louder it is
I wonder how would the hp2 sound on a grand marquis with no cats 🤔
I love the sound of the HP-2 but they are pretty pricey.
Which muffler has the sound for truck like a Harley motorcycle.
Probably glass packs
Red one is a thumper
Have you done any exhaust to a Jeep Liberty?
That’s Awesome but did any of those older model f150s had any 5.4 to Besides of 4.6
Yeah they did, this video is just the 4.6
Well I guess those F150 didn't really sound too shabby

Yes they did.
The red one is a 5.4, look at the rear differential. The 5.4 had the 9.7 and 4.6 had the 8.8
Yes sir 5.4 and 4.6 f150s we’re back in the day and now we have V6 Ecoboost or a 5.0 Coyote V8
