Well, that's only the first small part of the video. Later he warns about eating at night, pleads for intermittent fasting, warns for generally eating too much, warns for ultraprocessed foods and chemicals they contain, warns for drinking soda including diet sodas (prefer water, tea or coffee), talks about the mistake being physically inactive

Dental floss also contains PFAS and I’ve been trying to warn people about this for years. Thanks for your concern. Plastic sealants and fillings are another terrible source of microplastics.
I think between dentistry and cooking are two major contributors.

I have never used a sponge or brush to clean my dishes. I use a dishrag for the non- dishwasher items~ use once then into the wash. I use a brush to scrape the gunk off but the it goes into the dishwasher. Avoid scents. Use Dr Bonners unscented soap in my dispensers. It is very hard to keep anything clean outside in the desert so, I use sizzle platters when grilling and my food never touches the grill. Cook for one and freeze leftovers portions to eat later. It is hard to get plastic out of your life but I am trying by gradually replacing with glass.

I spent the majority of my life eating during the night as it was the only way to get back to sleep. I still don’t sleep for more than a few hours at a time, but since practicing fasting I rarely eat during the night now.

He forgot to mention to have us throw out all of the plastic spatulas and spoons we cook with. I use nothing but wooden or silicone ones which are safe. I have replaced so many items since my husband has been diagnosed with a rare cancer and it was caused by an environmental source. I have nothing but glass containers, changed shampoos, detergents and even laundry detergents. Just google nontoxic detergents and you’ll be surprised at all the crap we re using!

How can we avoid using plastic materials? 99 % of storage containers, bags, clothing, medical equipment, medicine, kitchen utencils, eating utencils, shoes, water pipes, fuel pipes, to name a few are made of plastic. I freeze food in plastic bags. Everything sold in the stores come in plastic containers, like yoghurt, milk, cheese, grains, pasta, ????
We may as well move to live in the wild, but even there, the waters are contaminated with so much plastic.

They are holding cold products, so there's that. Less than hot products. If micro plastics ARE dangerous in and of itself ( something I really haven't seen proven)...it's going to be about using less, because plastics exist in every level of food production. Unless you make everything yourself * shrugs*

I will NEVER use a sponge except to sop up a spill. Every single day I use a fresh, clean dishcloth, making sure to have enough to go from one laundry day to the next.
Also, when using disposable eating utencils, compostable options made of cornstarch may be a little pricier to start but compost into healthier soil!
As for laundry NO detergent OR fabric softener! Instead use BERON balls in the wash & WOOL dryer balls for the dryer.

It takes a couple to a few hours for insulin to come down. I think of the fasting window as the time after that period of higher insulin. Not eating through the evening is required for optimal sleep. Making sure I get enough protein is the constant challenge of intermittent fasting. I put my fork down between bites, while I chew and swallow. I don't eat out, or other people's cooking, really. I do clean my plate, most of the time. I don't get too full. Protein is filling.

I have a real problem with those cheap fragrances that are in everything. I break out into rashes, get nosebleeds, migraines with Visual Aura, horrible itching. I’ve made my house fragrance free with dish soap, laundry soap, bath soap. My neighbor burns highly scented candles at 2am while he decides it’s a great time to smoke weed….so the weed and the putrid cheap fragrance smell comes into my apartment and wow, the freeking migraine I got last night (7 nights in a row). I asked him to stop the fragrance candles, that I have lupus and I can’t bear it, and his response…not nice, let’s just say. So, I dragged out my air purifier and put it in my bedroom, it helped.

So much food is packaged in plastic. I buy frozen blueberries that come in a plastic bag. I wonder if the benefits outweigh the harm from microplastics. I probably should just buy seasonal fresh fruits. Or buy as much food in glass in preference to in plastic or even canned, which can have toxic chemicals in the can lining. I helped our island buy a glass crusher. Now all the glass is accepted for free and the crushed glass is used in making concrete or in landscaping. There is a world-wide shortage of sharp sand used in making concrete. There are even sand mafia rings.

Can someone PLEASE explain the logic of micro-plastics to me??? Everything I eat, if I can’t digest it, then if the bacteria in my large intestine cannot digest it… it goes out with all of the other non-digestible stuff I may eat, in a bowel movement. How in earth are things I eat, getting into my blood and organs? And if that is the case, we have to stop the companies who are making fabric out of plastic!!! These so called “sustainable” fabrics that are made in such a way that they can never be recycled again.😮
