Great tip, can't wait to give it a chance. I've been using a midsized brush hog for a long time, black with green pumpkin red flake. Incredible! Big fish.
Ready to step that trailer up people? Way back in the day I was using the 5inch reaper bait. The tails are a little similar. But what I was doing that nobody else was doing back then, was I was taking a Bic ball point pen and would take the cap off. Remove the actual pen, and then remove the end cap. I would lay the tail down flat on a hard surface, and then I would proceed to punch 3/4 holes in the tail with the bottom round end of the bic pen plastic tube. So now when you are looking at the tail, it has three perfect centered round holes in it. Then I would take my scissors and cut straight down the center of those round holes in the tail. I was using this reaper as my spinnerbait trailer. And you want to talk about action!!!!! I destroyed fish at Clear Lake with this combo. The flickering of the separated tail did them in!! 😎👍🏻👍🏻
I like how you think. It’s a more natural and subtle presentation. Thanks for sharing. Love the channel. Just noticed that you’re close to having 5K subscribers. 🙌🏻
I have some of those Biffle bugs in that same color finally a trailer i dont need to buy to try. Wished they still made the salt flicker worked well for me
Thanks for sharing and the idea. How many times do you get the trailer tail bitten off and no hookup? I fish the chatterbait a lot and the longer the trailer the more times that happens to me so have given up on the long trailers. Where I fish there are pike and musky so not sure how many bite offs are from bass. It seems that all of yours are very long and it would happen often.
Interestingly, I don't remember ever getting the trailer bit off with the Biffle Bug. This may be because it is not nearly as long as some other trailers. The fluke and spunk shad stick out quite a bit more.
The Spunk shad is stupid. You don't want all that meat on your bait fellas. I use the big bite baits air tail rattler. Ribbed worm with a big ol air pod in the tail. Straight worm lots of thump no one ever talks about it.
I recognized the Biffle Bug right away. Great trailer and jig for bass. I add it to swim jigs too. Always appreciate your tips Den. Tight lines!!!!
Yep, once you try it, you will be using it elsewhere. Great trailer.
You always come up with the best rigs Den! Thanks for sharing with the boys!
Dang man that's smart. Actually impressed! Thanks
Thanks.
I have so many different tails to use..that is slick man! I’ll keep it in mind
Excellent tip ! Going to try it this year.
Have fun!
Thanks for another great tip Den !!!😮😮
You Bet!
Thanks for sharing! I haven’t used the chatterbait over the last few years but I can see myself using it this was especially with the heavier heads.
It's a good bait year-round but especially in spring.
Clever, innovative idea.
thanks
Thanks, that is a really good trailer and agree that most people probably aren't using that one.
It's a fun way to fish the chatterbait.
Thanks for the info,
Sincerely. Fair Chase Fishing
Thanks for watching

Sounds like another good trailer!

Excellent idea and thanks for sharing! Reaper baits are what I would use for this kind of thing before the Biffle Bug was introduced.

Thanks, Blessed One. Things are looking up and you have been with me for most of the ride. Much appreciated.
Got to try this one. Thanks for the tip

Check out the chase baits flacid Shad for a trailer it’s similar but more durable
2.8 3.8 bellowsgill or shad
Or tie fur on the damn thing it will squirm around like a wet noodle. Plus keep the bait down.
