What made it all the funnier is that the dev did indeed *watch* and know who Rob was sorta, keeping it professional was just icing on the cake. Mad respect to the dev.
Since they watched the stream, probably laughed their asses off writing that reply. That multiplayer ending was savage though lmfao, a new and novel twist on the classic rageclimb.
Not really. What the dev meant is literally basic psychology. The more frustrated and angered you are, the less likely you'll think reasonably and your actions will become less and less rational. But it was still skill issue, lmao.
I was genuinely trying to dissuade Rob from leaving a bad review out of rage with that comment, but to see you not only post it in the video and voice over it in the exact tone I was going for, absolutely floored me. GG guys and get good Rob lol
I remember hearing Rob's feedback from the stream. Its so fucking hilarious. And the stream is also amazing, i like the perseverance and masochism level you guys had
@@Kaiff2 yeah, to be fair I didn't notice because the shape was exactly the same. You wear the beanie so often your hair now just grows into that shape. You have permanent hat hair :P
Thank you sooo much Kaif, I was watching your stream when you read it out loud, and I was on the floor laughing, needless to say, I'm on the floor again😂
I have 1838 games in my library, you're pushing baby numbers! And it'll be 1839 after I wake up today and grab Lethal Company and play the heck out of it this weekend!
After checking it would seem I have 1069 games on my steam account but i would like to blame a large portion of that on bundle sites I may or may not have been fixated on at one point..
Absolutely dying! This was sooo good! hahaha And umm ... since you asked ... I totally don't have 1128 games in my Steam library right now ... Nope ... not me ...
Dang, the dev really did just show Rob the carfax, huh? He's like the roast version of the worf effect. Like, Rob can REALLY roast people and he's not afraid to, but he really does just exist at this point to show how great other peoples roasts are by constantly being the victim of them and getting it far worse than he gives.
4:25 a friend of mine has spent a couple thousand almost entirely through sales and stuff like humble bundles and now has over 1250 with an average of 1hr30min playtime. Yours ain't too bad.
Steam currently says I have 1202 games in my account. I know that number will go up soon when I redeem a couple of months worth of Humble Bundle games 😂
I've seen someone with over 2000 games in their account with a quarter of them being reviewed, just recently while looking through reviews for another game lmao
i have someone on my friendlist still from the old OG mw2 times, he has 4.730 games xD almost every game's shop site i visit, i see that he either owns that game already or wishlisted it
the fact that you have to continue to be an apologist for rob when he won't do it himself has basically led to you being an enabler for his bad manners and lack of moral fibre as a gamer/streamer. This isn't even the first time. Hell it isn't even the 10th. Once is an accident, twice is coincidence, three times is a pattern. What number is he on again?
Writing a bad review when you know the fault is entirely yours is kind of a bastard thing to do when reviews play so heavily into the algorithm that decides what games are promoted and what games are not. Especially for indie devs. I doubt a singular review will do much, but it's still a shit thing to do. Good for the dev for responding so professionally, but Rob honestly needs to be better.
damn we have about the same number of unplayed games lmao. In my defense though most of them are either nostalgic games I bought to support developers or are free games that I added and never bothered with.
I will say, the ability to complete the game is not a valid response to flaws in design. Not having played the game or others of its type, I can't say who was right in either direction, but if your building a game that so closely follows a theme of games, you need certain things in place to actually be a valid version of that game type and not just a cash grab garbage heap, which most of the climb games are.
Counter argument, everyone called rob out that I was a rage review whilst he was typing it, so it's not a valid criticism because it's being made with the mentality of "fuck this I can't do it" Bringing up that the others completed it was pointing out that it was literally just him having issues, this isn't some form of morale dilemma of whose in the right It's literally an angry gamer vs a Dev who dispute the claims being made
@@experiencemaster1743 A person being angry doesn't immediately invalidate their criticism, And Just because the others completed it, doesn't mean they didn't experience some of the same issues Rob did. Look up the term Fallacy in the context of debates. Also having watched a few of the jump game videos, the game definitely looks like it has some serious collision detection and control issues comparatively. Which is saying something considering most of those games are shit cash grabs.
To be fair it's pretty standard for B games of that type to be like that, sometimes you just don't mesh well with a genre of games and should avoid em.
@@cadet3902Did you.. see the reply? It basically says that this game has very bad collission issues compared to other games in the genre, and i also noticed that the animations seem to be taken from a source, as i have seen those animations a lot of times, in other words, this game is a lazy excuse of a rage game (also i didn't play it yet but if he was correct and the death and falling animations are super slow, that's just even worse)
@@mishagaming1075 Again pretty standard for B-games. Most B-games use other peoples assets (within legal reason) and just mash it all together usually, they're low effort rage games, again this is a pretty standard B-game. It's not meant to be good, either by design or dev incompetence. Not good enough to be considered indie (and definitely not triple A)
yeah i have issues. humble bundle and just redeeming any freebie that doesn't look like total trash leaves me around 1300. I've probably only played 250, properly played 100, and fully beaten 50-60
in fairness, he would have likely finished the game if there wasn't a secret mechanic for multiplayer mode, which sole purpose is to absolutely crush everyone else's souls. I'm surprised that wasn't in his tangent about the game.
Although rage induced, that was a perfectly valid review, and the dev's "it's not a bug, it's a feature" isn't a good response either. This is coming from a game dev.
You know the worst part about this? Not the review, but the fact that back when Skyrim originally launched, it was such a big deal for me/my friend group to have *a* new game to play. Meanwhile, many years later, one of those friends has over 1200 games due to Humble Bundles and stuff. Hasn't touched more than 50 of them xD
It wouldn't be called salt raiders for nothing without getting a bit salty from time to time on rob's case though It's daily that it could be used to season food with lmao
My best mate has over 1000 games in his steam library because of the humble bundle's and jingle jam bundle's each year. All those games and he still only plays Valorant xD

Rob: "game bad"
Devs: "skill issue"
Pretty much sums up the whole video.
The devs: lol, lmao
The dev basically said "skill issue tbh" quite daring

For me it became much easier as soon as it got monthly subscription for games@@eriknilsson147
The Humble Bundle will certainly do that 😂
