    Date: 3/18/23
    Location: 1924 S Santa Fe Ave, Moore, OK
    Units Heard: 2T22 (main unit) - 95 ft
    Time: (when activated) - 12:00:05
    So my original plan was to go to the town of Chandler, just about 45 minutes northeast of Moore, for their refurbished P-15 for their weekly test. However, before I left the house this morning I called the Chandler PD and they had acted a little strange about if they were going to test or not, so I just played it safe and decided on this Moore 2T22 which led us to be able to leave 50 minutes later. I can’t say I’m not impressed with how this turned out I will say. Definitely the loudest XT22 I have heard to date as well and it had a pretty fast windup! Please enjoy the video!
    The City of Moore, as for most of the Oklahoma City area, tests the outdoor warning sirens every Saturday @ 12PM, weather permitting, for three minutes of alert. They do test when it’s cloudy and only will postpone testing when there is a storm chance within a few hours of 12PM..

      It does sound pretty amazing. The reason you’re not hearing any other sirens is because I was within 100 feet of the siren, and because this one was so loud, my cameras microphone was somewhat maxed out. It was so loud to where you couldn’t hear any others, basically.

    Nice video, and good to see a new video of an operational Federal Signal 2T22. Is this the last remaining 2T22 siren in Moore, or the entire Oklahoma City metroplex? Does Moore or Goldsby still have their Thunderbolts? Shawnee replaced their 2T22 siren, but I don't know what type or model of sirens they have now. Calumet once had a Sterling siren mounted onto a water tower structure years ago.

    • @brodiessirenproductions
      @brodiessirenproductions  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Moore actually still has 4 of their 2T22’s and they have no plans to replace them in the upcoming years. There’s quite a bit of 2T22’s left in the Oklahoma City area. Moore has their 4, Edmond has 2, Nicoma Park has 1, Spencer (maybe) still has 1, Deer Creek still has a few, Union City has a few, and there might be some towns I had left out. Moore and Goldsby both still have all of their Thunderbolts and all of them aren’t going anywhere soon. Shawnee did replace their 2T22’s with 508’s, the whole county actually was replaced with 508’s. There’s a few 2001’s and one T-128 on the Pottawatomie County system. And yeah, Calumet’s Sterling is still on the water tower but it’s inactive, a 2001 replaced it. It used to do noon blasts as well but the 2001 took over that

    Did this one survive the 2013 tornado?

    • @brodiessirenproductions
      @brodiessirenproductions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The original 2T22 that was here was damaged by the tornado as it went right over this area. This specific 2T22 used to be located at Tom Strouhal Little River Park on 4th Street. But since the original 2T22 at this location was damaged, Moore replaced this 2T22 with a 508, and then relocated that 2T22 to here. This is that 2T22.
