    It is all about consistency and Porsche are great at that. Looking forward to future races. Nice video. Keep up the good work.

    Without Sebring and bad luck at Petit they could’ve wrapped things up. I have no doubt that they’re the favourites. No team compares in terms of operation.

      bad luck also arguably played a part at Watkins Glen for PPM!

      Absolutely. People that think the 963 is underwhelming completely missed out on the IMSA season last year

      @@maximus0g933exactly. If porsche was able to keep the win at the glen, they only needed to start the petit lemans to win the championship

    Great video. 100% agree Porsche is front runner already. Very minor correction, the most minor. 6:20 you mention Porsche improving at Detroit over last year, but the Detroit race is now going to be at the riverfront circuit used by Indycar last year. It's technically a new race, with very different characteristics from Belle Isle.

      Hey thanks! Definitely!I was referring more to the style of tracks that they will want to show increased pace on with a couple of street circuits (Detroit being one of them), a really rough track in Sebring and a very flowing track with elevation change in Laguna!

    BMW needs to shake things up, new team, a few new drivers, new leadership at top on BMW itself. From what I read BMW had the BoP advantage at Daytona. Without results this year I can see them pulling the plug like they've done in the past.

    BOP will likely shift slightly here and there, but Porsche have always been motorsport kings so I wouldn’t be surprised. Remember though that reliability played a large role in this race, so this upcoming season can still be super competitive.

      Porsche has IMO by far the best pit guys and team strategy etc. They always make up time in the pits. They definitely win all the little things behind the scenes during the races. Last years Long beach was extremely impressive considering the pace difference.

      @KompressorV6 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@vwjetta4138 They deserve all the credit in the world! They won without the best pace! That's not easy to do when there are a ton of restarts. That being said they were closer to the pace of the Caddy than the Acura was. Acura was really never a factor is all I'm saying. The Penske team has been top notch.

    • @KompressorV6

      @@vwjetta4138 I wanted to say they have the best team in general, but I don't see whats happening behind the scenes. I just know what I see in the races and following Alkamel etc.

      @@KompressorV6 They definitely have the best team. Penske has shown itself in various forms of motorsports that they are the best and Porsche has as well. The Porsche Penske connection goes way back and is a tried and true winning combination.

    Felipe Nasr and Matt Campbell were a very strong duo, it's a pity the 953 was born unreliable and this year the Porsches are separate, Dane Cameron is still not at the pace of these two I hope he improves in the next stages

    It'll be between Porsche and Cadillac if they don't adjust the BOP. Acura has the best car still IMO, but that doesn't always mean much.

  • @luisfelipebezerra9912

    The BOP was wrong. The Acuras were too heavy and the BMW needed more power.

    • @samscast
      @samscast 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Idk they all seemed strong throughout the race. I think it was strategy and reliability failures which cost the acuras and BMWs a chance at victory

    • @offintheesses
      @offintheesses  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The Acuras may have been a bit too heavy but both of those cars were dealing with issues through the race as well. The 10 showed great pace before they hit their issues!

      @KompressorV6 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@samscastLol nah the Acuras were waay too heavy. BMW can't really say much as they had the best adjustment and were almost at the maximum performance allowed. They would have to keep BMW there and dial back the rest for it to work, but I'm not buying it. I think the BMW has shown it has pace without needing THAT much of a boost.
      BOP definitely gave Caddy the best advantage (lap record). A bit of a wasted opportunity for them honestly. They might not be afforded that pace every race.

      Not to mention, both of them have WEC crews from year 1. That should benefit development and set-ups in some way due to additional data being available to Cadillac Racing and PPM. I'd bet that one of the reasons both the Caddy and Porsche were the class of the field was because both manufacturers gained better understanding by running across 2 series.
