I rather use the dark brown sugar, I have used the light brown sugar. That is fine too. I can't seem to find dark brown sugar as easy as I find the light brown.

Pineapple upside down cake is a family favorite. I always use pineapple juice instead of water. Sometimes I add a little dark rum!
