  • At Yokkaichi, where the train started, it saw off the Kiha 85 Limited Express Nanki No. 1 and then departed to follow it, passing the Kiha 85 Limited Express Nanki No. 2 at Kawarada Station on the way.
All the rolling stock on the Nanki limited express train is to be replaced with HC85s, and as this was the last Sunday on which the Kiha 85 Nanki was in operation, and also because the extra train "Thank you Kiha 85 Nanki" was running after this regular train, the area along the Ise Railway line was crowded with people taking photographs.
The Ise Line (伊勢線, Ise-sen) is a Japanese railway line in Mie Prefecture, between Kawarada Station, Yokkaichi and Tsu Station, Tsu. This is the only railway line Ise Railway (伊勢鉄道, Ise Tetsudō) operates. The company name is abbreviated to Isetetsu (伊勢鉄). The third sector company took the former Japanese National Railways line in 1987. The line was originally built as a shorter route between Nagoya and south Kii Peninsula (Kisei Main Line). As such, the Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) limited express train "Nanki" and the rapid train "Mie" still use the line, providing the primary revenue stream for the company. The line also transports spectators when Formula One World Championship Japanese Grand Prix is held at Suzuka Circuit.

Thanks for making this video. Funny that train geeks are watching a video from a train geek in which train geeks on platforms are taking photos. Watching each other.

We are talking the end of KiHa 85 operations on JR Central. They're were replaced by the new HC85, which started started service in March 2023.

@@Lebon19 Well, Japanese rail fans are very obsessive in their love of trains. That’s why when the old model trains leave service all the rail fan photographers show up in large numbers.

What speed is this train running? It seems faster than what I'm used to.
This route is fun and beautiful! I wish I could do a rail tour of Japan. It would bring me so much happiness!
