As Israel’s war on Gaza enters its 10th month, we speak with Mohammed Abu Hashem, a Palestinian American who ended a 22-year career in the U.S. Air Force after an Israeli airstrike in Gaza killed his aunt in October. “It was clear to me that I needed to step away,” says Abu Hashem, who served as a first sergeant in the 316th Civil Engineer Squadron of the U.S. Air Force. He recently co-signed a letter with 11 other former U.S. officials who rsesigned over the Biden administration’s policy toward Gaza, Palestine and Israel. “The American people deserve to have a government that follows ethical and moral standards,” says Abu Hashem, who also talks about briefly meeting Aaron Bushnell before the airman died by self-immolation in February to protest U.S. support for Israel.

It's not my place to disparage the man bc I know how institutions manipulate the mind and emotions, especially the military... I'm just glad now he figured it out and is choosing better.
Unfortunately this is how most of us are... We don't think it will be us until it is.
We are conditioned to believe we are the exception here in the USA, but it's all closing in very quickly.
If what our "leadership" can do to others what do we think they will do to us?
Alot of people don't even know about all the rights we are loosing daily bc it's not them yet, but all anyone has to do is look at what's being done to others.

If you follow Israel close enough you see patterns. In Israel's Sacred Terrorism available online free, Moshe Dayan and David Ben Gurion talk about the importance of using terrorism. They need insecurity to control the US and get money so when the Arabs do not attack them they attack the Arabs and then cry they were attacked. It is like when you hit your brother and your brother hits you back and mom believes you were attacked and punishes the person you attacked first. The US listens to Israel and automatically does not believe Arabs and all of us were taught that too. They love when they know they are going to be attacked. It brings them sympathy and MONEY. The leaders say in the book that one of their problems in the 1950s was they could not get the Arabs to attack so they planned to contact Christians in Lebanon to convince them the Muslims had a secret plan to destroy them. A Zionist professor told me it was just a joke. A LOT of Israel's "jokes" come true exactly as planned.

I've no doubt, nor have I had any that Oct 7th was allowed to happen and made worse by the orders given to the IDF before and on that day. It was the trigger event that the Israeli government wanted to begin their planned genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gaza, the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. It was a made to order event that Yahu and his war crime cabinet needed and wanted to either gain or remain in positions of power and perhaps start a wider conflict with American support.

The Palestinian struggle is not the only struggle in the Middle East and is not the oldest but the Palestinians had exposure since 1948 and everyone in the world knows about them.
The Assyrians however who are the indigenous people of Ashur (today known as Iraq) have been suffering for over 100 years now and not one listens to their suffering. In addition that after 2003 following the invasion of the US to "Iraq", the Assyrian ancestral lands were given to the kurds who are controlling because of the US all the lands of the Assyrians, they keep confiscating lands, hidden oppression going on and the US is still supporting the historical killers of the Assyrians since the 1915-1918 Genocide which took place in south eastern what is today Turkey and then through the 1933 Massacre of Simel (a northern Assyrian town) in Iraq today which the Iraqi army, arab and kurdish tribes committed under the British mandate and the British planned the Massacre which no one speaks of and the US kept silent towards that Massacre then as it keeps silent until today about what is taking place in the Assyrian lands in north Iraq

It is not enough for them. They have been trying to remove from history any reference to Palestine. To exist is resistance, and resistance is punished. Bibi called for Amalek. The Intelligence Chief for Menachem Began when they invaded Lebanon in 1980 wrote that the commandment of Amalek is to commit genocide of all the descendants of Amalek, which by the 1980s was revised to defined Amalek as anyone who objected to the Zionist goals. Yehosafat Harkabi's book Israel's Fateful Hour suggested that in Israel rabbis were teaching that God made the world for Jews and all other beings were created to serve Jews, and if they refused they should be killed. He suggested this is why Rabin was killed for talking peace with the Palestinians by an Israeli. Harkabi was horrified by this as a Jew and joined the Anti-zionists in trying to save Israel by stopping Israel from continuing their march toward national suicide.

I understand he is upset, but why did his aunt go back into her building waiting ONLY 90 minutes after it was to be removed for housing Hamas? not leaving the area would have caused a perhaps permanent delay PRE-Oct 7 2023, but obviously not after Gaza declared war on Israel. Interesting surname.

@joeyjoejoe314 again, if you are a low-level soldier just joining the military, as he stated, to defend the country and inact revenge on those who threatened your country, this would not be your line of thinking. He was also young, just out of high school, most likely not heavily involved in politics. If you didn't serve in the military at that time, I did, you don't have any idea about the level of indoctrination and propaganda that they throw at you, and as someone growing up through the school system here, you don't really learn to be skeptical of the government. It isn't until college, or a lil further into your mid adult life that you learn a lot of things had been hidden from us, and the internet wasn't as prominent at that time, nor were TikTok videos, instagram/TH-cam videos, none of this existed. You literally had to know what you didn't know, so that you could seek out the information.
It also depends on whether you're deployed to the conflict zone or not. Those who had direct contact with the "enemy" had a better understanding of what was real and what was not. If you weren't, then you only knew what the higher-ups told you.

This guy is sick! He contributed to the murder of millions of innocent Muslims and the displacement of tens of millions during his service to the terrorist army of war criminals. His red line is his aunt!

In 1948, Israel's border included East Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria (later known as West Bank). In 1948, in an Arab war of annihilation, Jordan OCCUPIED that territory and ETHNICALLY CLEANSED IT OF ITS JEWS. In 1967, in another Arab war of annihilation waged against Israel to destroy it, Israel recovered that territory. In a parallel example in international law, Ukraine's borders were formed under uti possedetis juris which is why there's international consensus that Russia is occupying Crimea from Ukraine. If Ukraine were to push back Russia and recover Crimea as Israel recovered the West Bank in 1967 from Jordan, would the international community accuse Ukraine of "occupying" Crimea? Of course not. Why the DOUBLE STANDARD when it comes to Israel - the fact is there is no "occupation" under international law. That is a political libel with no legal basis.
