    This is the kind of videos I like to see, to the point, numbers on paper, data! Testing! Proof!
    Not some guy yapping at you about how this week's line is so much better than the other line he was paid to advertise last week.

      Spot on. Let the numbers do the talking. No bias, no affiliation, good or bad it is what it is.

    Nice work. Can u get Sunline X-plasma braid? They are really great.

    • @thelinelaboratory
      @thelinelaboratory  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate it! The x-plasma has been requested before and is on my list to try and track some down to test.

      I have heard good reports on that line but am yet to test it out. Do you have any spare that we could test by any chance?

    Nice video can you test Berkley nanofil and daiwa tournament Evo+

    • @thelinelaboratory
      @thelinelaboratory  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I have read about the nanofil and it looks interesting, possibly like WFT Gliss and definitely something I would love to get my hands on. The Daiwa Tournament isn't available in Australia so it may be tricky to track down but your not the first person to suggest this 👍

    Loving these videos. Definitely the most thorough tests out there hands down. I'd be more than happy to send you a couple lines that are popular in the Spj scene, line diameter is extremely important along with comparative breaking strength.
    All that being said how are these companies getting away with so much false advertising in terms of line diameter. The labeling basically means nothing...
    Edit: Good idea with the knot test, I'd love to see the PR knot though. Can't make everyone happy I'm afraid 😉

    • @thelinelaboratory
      @thelinelaboratory  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Austin! If you have some samples your able to provide for testing that would be wonderful, you can get in touch here: linelaboratory.com/contact/ I am surprised as much as you are by the diameter claims, and I have reached out to a few of the manufacturers for comment but have never heard back. I was even questioning my measurements so bought an extremely accurate calibration slide for the microscope to double check and all looks good. 🤷‍♂️

    Unless I misinterpret the results. If a product is over the labeled claim on diameter, why not downscale the results to the claimed diameter. Or is this where the tensile strength test comes in?

    • @thelinelaboratory
      @thelinelaboratory  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct, this is exactly what the Tensile Strength calculation does. It basically allows us to say "if every line was the same diameter how strong is it?". As we end up with a PSI value, the final figure standardizes each line to a 1 square inch cross section and then how many pounds would it break at.

    Can you please write lbs and kg😊 Thanks

    • @thelinelaboratory
      @thelinelaboratory  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel your pain. 😂 I relate to kgs better also but almost all lines are rated in pounds so to try and keep it simple and consistent I tend to convert everything to pounds.

      @@thelinelaboratory I understand, but you will reach more fishing people when you just add the Kg numbers 😘 by the way, can you test the line: „ryujin momoi“? Its my favorite line so far.
