Firstly, congratulations on the excellent work you have done in reclassifying the lines correctly. Tomorrow I will start recommending your channel to my followers. This work deserves to be seen more broadly. I would like to be able to react to your videos if you allow me. I live in Brazil and my reactions would be in our language, Portuguese. Of course, in all react videos I would leave the original link to your video. What do you think about doing a test, but regardless of that, I'm going to recommend your channel. Hugs and great fishing.
Thanks for your kind words and yes I would be happy for you to use my content. if you have any question or would like some more information please contact me via the website linelaboratory.com/contact/
I have trialled this line on my beach fishing reel and so far it has fallen in line with all the test results. Breaking strain is definitely higher than stated but gets fluffy or scuffed easily like the poor abrasion results in the test. Managed to fit 280m on a reel that suggests 300m of PE1.5
Another great review. I have been using the PE 0.8 bream and Pe 2 for mulloway and snapper. I found it to be agreat casting braid and fg strength felt close to the breaking strain stated. I knew the stated diameters weren't correct, as the amount of line I was able to spool was a lot less then I had before with other brands stated to be the same.
Great review as per usual, did you test Berkeley Nanofil or what I think is a rebranding of Nanofil their new Flex PE Braid lines, their casting performance is unreal and in my view the best lines for light lure fishing on the market, but their kind of like Veggiemite ya either love it or hate it, because most people don’t tie the correct knots it’s slick stuff, 👍🏻🎣🇮🇪
Nope haven't tested that one. They say thermally fused which is like the old fire line. That's some really odd stuff, quite smooth as it seems melted but very stiff.
I have this line as PE1 in use and I like it very much in terms of handling, thickness and it is not fading much. But I have problems with knot strength and I think it is related to the smoothness. The line cuts the fluorocarbon quite easy, eventgough it is a fg knot. Maybe someone has a better knot, for super smooth lines?
Good afternoon, would you be able to test the Varivas Avani Casting Max Power X8? I saw that there was a test 10 months ago, but the one I bought comes in a new box. I would like to know if there has been a change as I intend to fish in September. If it hasn't progressed, I'll buy another line
It's called ToupView. To make measurements you first need to calibrate with a stage micrometer, then you use the measure feature and it will tell you the length.

Personally I haven't seen any issues with smooth lines not performing well with an FG. Maybe something else is going on....

if somebody is able to supply some of the new type i would be happy to see how it compares to the older one and see if there is a difference.
How do you check the diameter with that software ? And which software is that?
