Sounds like it could use some work.. possibly go active with a DSP.. those tweeter are really inward and narrowing your stage.. could be the mic but it sounds very spitty sounding.. like the EQ yes been really yanked up on the higher freq..
I'm using the Tara Labs Air 1 series for the interconnects and for the speaker cables, I can't remember the name from the top of my head at the moment lol. But I really love the Tara Labs cables. Compared to home audio, I think they have an even better performance in the car audio spectrum. Maybe it's because most of the car audio branded cable gear lack the quality compared to home audio cables. Thanks for the comments~
sounds epic... i hope one day i can afford speakers like these... currently i have Morel Maximo 6.5 coax in the back doors of my W203 and i`m saving some $ dor Supremo Components for the front plus amp... if it sound even a tiny bit like your system i`ll be so happy! love what you did with the C209! great car btw man! great sound too!
This car was actually a Morel Demo car for our region. It was a very nice setup I had, but I have taken everything down! I plan on building another demo car with ZR Speaker Lab components next month. Maximos are great too. They are probably one of the best speakers for the money you pay. But if you can save up and opt for atleast the Morel Virtus series or higher, I think you'd be a lot more happy with your system. Thanks for the comments and good luck with everything.
Maximo are actually really nice and smooth with awesome mid-bass. I have and set with my Kicker 4 KX amp, and today I installed an Audison Voce amp, and it made the Maximo sound AMAZING. I also bought a set of Elate with the Audison amp, installing tomorrow. So I would change your amp to a top end Audison or similar first, if you don't already have one.
Kaegis Audison Voce isn't really considered a high end amp. It's made in China if you didn't know already. Now Audison Thesis Venti is HI-End. It's very hi-end. But it costs over 6 grand and handmade in Italy. Elates are great. I love those speakers.
Jin Song Well for what was available out of the Hertz HP5 or the Audison Voce, I chose the Audison. I can assure you the SQ was remakable against a decent Kicker amp (which most people here seem to love but I now hate) eitherway they are still designed by Audisons direction and do make a great difference. At around $1000 for an amp, that is well enough for a Landcruiser, and coupled with Elates and Maximos I couldn't be happier. Just installing the Audison amp alone made a massive difference so I am convinced 100%. Even if I personally was super rich, I am not dumb enough to blow $6k on an Amp alone and or for a car system as there is too much ambient noise to truly receive the benefits.
I've had several alpine head units but always ended up replacing them with Blaupunkt. I find the Alpine makes voices sound like they are playing through a tube! I can even hear it on your premium system. I suppose I would have to be there in person to hear it. Mind you even over headphoned it still sounds pretty awesome.
+jsong21 If you can find one the Mcintosh mx5000-3 it is pretty incredible. I like the pioneer DEX -P99RS. Its pretty descent. I definately like my MX4B's and MX2B Brax amps for these speakers and Ultimo twelves. Brax two ways in rear. Just waiting on the new Brax DSP Pro. Old one was great. New one is suppose to be amazing. Sweet set up man.

im using morel tempo6 in all my cars and im very happy with their products..... the only thing bad about morel is there very expensive, but you pay for more then what you get ..... tempo6 cost about 200$and will please you.....

You are definitely highly mistaken. Your speakers may get loud as hell and clear but are they enjoyable to listen to. I'm sure they don't sound nearly as good as these in person and I'm sure most people will get ear fatigue because yours are pretty harsh. I can't say for sure because I don't know what drivers you have but nine times out of 10 there are very few that can compete with these speakers. I don't have these speakers and I'm not a brand nut hugger but I'm a realist
You are correct that in most systems, adding DSP and more power will yield a bigger step up than just upgrading drivers on stock amplification. But when you combine DSP, power and really good drivers, it all goes to another level again. Enjoy your system bro!

Hey~ Yeah, I think they have the Morel Tempo & Maximo series.. but entry level is always entry level. Even though MBQ & Focal are good brands, their higher end products are much better than their entry level products. If you were to buy anything Morel, I recommend the Virtus, Hybrid Ovation, Elate, and Supremo series. Oh and Morel Ultimo SC & Ultimo subwoofers are FANTASTIC~ Thanks for the comment~

I'm using a tweeter pod off my a-pillar. It's attached to the a-pillar by a nut bolt and sits on the dash. It makes the install job a lot easier, and you can rotate the tweeter: Left to Right & Upwards to give you versatile staging. This car should be on the Morel facebook page somewhere. Yes, I have the Supremo 6s with custom door install.

I can now never listen to another set of speakers again as long as I live after these & be satisfied 😢 They're on a whole other level 😮
