Fair enough price, so atleast its compatible with my Golds rests. Also looks like a few nice cosmetic touches that improve on the current standard rests avaliable previously.
ok its light but the angle was twisting when you adjusted the bottom cups, dont think it would hold two 15footers and fixed spools on a fast surf beach the rods will be swinging like frank sinatra
The rod rests at the top are very similar to those that Westy’s Angling and Preston sell for coarse fishing and the bottom cups are like those for the Korum barbel river tripod! No bad thing, just an observation!
Looks good aesthetically but not sure about the leg tie bars, looks like it restricts the legs opening out very far. The wider the leg span the more stable the whole setup. There are a few rests out there with leg tie bars. Personally if I designed it I would make the 2 tie bars telescopic. Seems a bit pricey too.
The leg locks i think are the best I've come across. It's really easy to adjust it on both the legs and the main frame. The higher you set them on the frame the wider the legs go. Adjustable legs would be great but it's something else to go wrong I think. Everyone's different though, it would be a boring world if we all thought the same mate
@@theawfulangler Brilliant mate thanks for that, too many use bits that dissolve rapidly with the salt. Nice touch having those slots for the line to fall into when resting the rod.
@richardjones2811 The guys have been working on this for over 2 years. There's little touches you don't know you needed until you realise you do. There's a range of accessories being developed too which will hopefully be available early in the new year
looks a little flimsy. intresting to see how they stack up in a few years time. for me tripod is a tripod. it's lime trying reinvent the wheel. be interested to see what the extras are when they come out. hopefully something different.
There is lots of choice, at all sorts of price points, some far more expensive than this one too. The same thing can be said for rods, reels, sofas, cars, the lost goes on. People choose what they want to spend their money on.

Nice
Too expensive for what it is with lots of choice out there for far less and just as good quality
