- For years, buyers searching for a fast, 4-door performance sedan were limited to the usual suspects from BMW M, Mercedes-AMG, and Audi RS. With Alfa Romeo finally back in the US, enthusiasts can now pick up the incredibly well balanced Giulia sport sedan and this Quadrifoglio high performance model powered by a twin-turbo Ferrari V6 with over 500 horses should put a formidable dent in all of its German competitor's armor.

As much as I want it to be , it just won't... I hope FCA sell the AR to someone who could make it a great brand.It is going to have the notorious FCA reliability , however the design is just brilliant no question about it and so is the sound.
As good as Alfa looks they pale in comparison to how good a Ferrari looks :(
Salvo Farina you are right Salvo I have owned an Alpha, most critics never have.
They are superb drivers cars even the more mundane models have soul are not as unreliable as made out and ģive you a buzz others in the saloon/hatchback catagory just aspire to.
in the last 7 years fiat is much better they finally invest more money to make better! by the way alfa romeo is independent now just like maserati and ferrari, so soon alfa will make more powerful cars !
Adrian P why are you talking abut reliable cars here ? This isn’t a 2007 Camry review. (Most problematic year for a Camry too next to the 2018). This is a lease car. Reliability DOES NOT. MEAN. SHIT.

Agreed but it's about as attainable for me as a Chiron. All the best cars are like $80k+ these days. 2018 Accord Sport 2.0t for me...

That's why depreciation is our friend brother, I went to a dealership and seen a 2017 Q4 with 13k miles for 51,000k if that's not a steal idk what is, if I8 wasn't enjoying my scat pack so much I will trade it in for the Q4! @@MegaTechpc
I drove this car in Feb 2017 for 7 days, 1200 miles between France, Netherlands and Belgium. it was Diesel but it had the same transmission and dna knob, best handling on a sedan I've ever experienced.
Better than a model S?
As always, great review, Sofyan! I have always been in love with the design of the Giulia when it first was debuted. It offers sleek looks, amazing performance, and a pretty neat interior design. Also, that exhaust note sounds stellar on the Quadrifoglio.
Hopefully, I can get my hands on a Giulia in the near future, as well! From one car reviewer to another, keep up the excellent work! 👍🏽

Just saw one over the wknd. It was in that blue color. Don’t know the name. But my godddd it is stunning. The whole combo with the wheels, most insane rear diffuser, rear cf ducktail. I wish I could afford one. What a car Alfa made

i'm glad alfa didn't went with a tablet style screen. It's nice to see a carbrand actually put some thought into designing a screen into the dash instead of just sticking an ugly screen to the dashboard

FinestInstinct check out the Alfa Basso V6 sound. Best ones are with unicorse or wizard exhausts. They blow the new V6 away in terms of exhaust note.

callmehobo 424 It has been extremely reliable, only one small hitch with the info system. just coming up for 3 years in November, and to be honest I will be buying another. Next one will be a Veloce, as it just has the right body kit and exhaust system.

Why would you want a sun roof in a performance car? Carbon fiber roof is the way to go.

This reminds me of my first car a Alfa Romeo 156 GTA back in 2008 I am 27 now. Just hope the quality of the car is better now, but they always promise a smile on the lip everyday! Today I'm a Volvo fanatic next step Mercedes and when 60 we go Ferrari :)
And I have just looked at Nürburgring lap times of some cars... this Alfa is quicker than : Ferrari 458 Italia, Porshe GT3 RS 997, Koenigsegg CCX and CCR, Nissan GTR 2011, Lexus LFA, Mercedes AMG GTS, McLaren 650S, Veyron, SLR, Zonda and many others like Panamera Turbo 2016. Most shocking thing is that Alfa is 20 seconds faster than M4.
Sarah, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio was untill very very recently the fastest saloon car around the Nurburgring. The fastest then was the Panamera but Alfa beat it and now the Jaguar SV project 8 took away that record from Alfa Romeo buy 1 second or less.

@@projectK_ Nope🤣. I got spooked by reports of poor reliability. Since I have one primary car, I went the safe route. Lexus IS 350. The Alpha still looks better though.
Nice review. I did just choose the 2018 alpha over the 18 M3. Just something about the ride and steering on the alpha that’s hard to beat. Maybe the word is confidence. 😁

Back pressure exhaust can here inside the car every time you hit high rpm or changes gears,daily in f1 race cars and this is the closest to it legally on the road today,nice video.

callmehobo 424 Actually I traded in the Guilia Quad 2 months ago for a new Stelvio Quad. I had a little over 10.000 miles on the Guilia and not a single issue. Super reliable and why I bought another Alfa. But for me it’s all about the drive in these Alfa chassis’s. So so dynamic.

Always a great vid. Keep the info unit integrated in the dashboard. It looks sooo much better than the tablet. Who wants a sunroof? The extra 80 lbs just changes the cornering dynamic and who would want to mess up that beautiful flowing paint?

I am three years in the ownership and I only had one sensor go bad for the oil level. Not a big deal. The oil level was more than fine and this car does have a regular traditional dipstick which is welcomed.
finally a honest and not hyped review. the 2018 model year is the right choice, as software bugs will be solved by factory, something 2017 model had to be updated. and for the infotainment update, androidauto and applecarplay. also many other options and corcks that have been already upgraded for the Stelvio.

Android Auto and Apple Carplay update is coming out soon. All 2018 models already will have it. 2017 models have to go through update process.
