Thank you. Im an online notary and I work with a company that uses adobe to sign documents. I couldnt figure out how to attach my signature to my digital certificate or sign with a date or time stamp. This helped a lot. Great job! 😊
Just exactly what I needed and it was exactly as shown, mostly. It's now called "Use a certificate" in Adobe's menu, but easy enough to find. Thank you !

SO SO Useful! Thank you - those steps are hidden inside Adobe and who would have known. Your directions are very clear and concise. My signature now looks good, thanks to you!
Thank you so much, God bless you. The video was very explanatory but one has to follow the video very closely and step by step to successfully add a signature.
Thank you for this video. However, my challenge is removing the digital signing certificate from the settings. So that whenever I need to sign, all I need to do is fill & sign>>place signature>>and then pic my signature as an image from images on the local PC
Thank you so mauch for creating this video. It helped me in a moment of need. Now I understand this whole digital signing and how to create didgtal signitures and initals. Apprecaite your time!
This is simply marvelous!! Thanks man... This is a contender for one of my TOP FIVE TH-cam VIDEOS OF THE YEAR!! THANKS SO MUCH... PS; how can I achieve this using my Android smartphone??? Please do help
You need a card reader that has a cable to go into your phone. You may need an adapter. Adobe reader 8 is not compatible with any phone OS, only MacBooks and computers with windows OS
Any idea where in Windows this digital certificate is saved? I ask because once created I would like to use the certificate in Outlook, for signing emails. Thank you.
Hi. First of all thank you for this great Tutorial.... Probably my question was posted already, but i have the problem, that the pdf-file with the picture of my sign is always too big. What i mean is, that there is a lot of empty space around the letters of my signature. Even if i cut it out very narrow, at the end after closing the signed document, its too big again. Where is my fault? Can you help? Thanks a lot..... Best Matthias
Just curious to know, does it compliance with 21 CFR Part 11? I can find that Adobe Sign did compliance with it, but this will need to pay. But how about this method?
You can make it part 11 compliant by going to Edit>Preferences>Signatures (on the left)>Creation and Appearance (More... option). Then you'll see "When Signing" and under that it has a checkbox "Show Reasons". Click that and then scroll down to hit ok. Next time you go in to digitally sign something, it'll look slightly different with a Reason option you can now add to your digital signature. Hope this helps!
This worked for me th-cam.com/video/bcK7LldB3dk/w-d-xo.html I like some of the transitions, but sometimes they're a bit too much and are seemingly random. Since we use these persistent elements that transition across pages to indicate some kind of relationship between the previous and the next states, some of your transitions confuse me because I can't immediately see what the relationship is. For example 1:23 of the selectable tiles (which weren't selected) transition into being two switches... does that mean anything? are they related in some way? I see this as random and a bad use of the design language. However, at 3:14 I like the transition from switches to the ticks on a paper, that makes sense to me. Epic presentation thog
I do not believe this is still a solution. Many tools to unlock, clone document and issue a signature based on your signature. How does someone in the market knows this is really a authentic document if all the above is possible?
Late to the party, but can you send requests for e-signatures where you request that the signer submit their digital certificate, rather than an ordinary signature?
After I click on Use Certificate and draw in the grey box on the signature line, I get this huge grey area that covers the entire screen that won't let me do anything - I can't get to my digital signature and I can't get out of it. Any suggestions how to fix it?
Hi! Can you please help? I received an important PDF document to sign, and when I clicked to sign it, it prompted me to create a digital ID. I did it following the prompts in the popup window, and I chose self-sign. Once I closed the dialog box, the digital ID was there. However, I couldn’t fill in any other part of the form. I then went to google info about it, and my browser (Chrome) would not open pages. Also, my email doesn’t work. It shows that I can choose to digitally sign the message, but no matter what I do it won’t send the message. I am not able to use my browser or my email. Please help me fix this! I can’t believe making a stupid signature for Adobe made my MacBook completely unusable!
Oh man thank you so much you are the king I've yeah seen others out there but this is the one that actually explains it for me so now I'm a professional at digital ID and signatures on Adobe PDF files for my own purposes and I can help someone now thank you so much you are the king

Thank you Sir, everyone else keeps confusing the signatures and only giving instructions for electronic signature.
Just exactly what I needed and it was exactly as shown, mostly. It's now called "Use a certificate" in Adobe's menu, but easy enough to find. Thank you !
