I actually love this. Most importantly, thank you for side jacks. I’m so tired of all the pedal board people getting all the day. I switch out two pedals at a time and just have fun with them. Side jacks are much too underrated now.
I’ve been playing the guitar for 30 years. I’ve been using pedals for about 20 years. This delay became my favorite piece of equipment as soon as I plugged it in. Unfortunately, I had to sell all my gear. This will be the first effect I buy when I am able to spend the money. I miss this pedal more than my 1950s telecaster.
This pedal sounds incredible, well done done Walrus Audio. I will get one, and I will struggle not to put everything through it, vocals, guitars and keys, everything😁
Just got it delivered a couple of days ago and have decided to use it on my OBx 8. It’s a bit wierd at first and i couldn’t seem to get it to self oscillate with certain settings, but I’ve only plugged it in for an hour and a half so far. It does really sound very lovely though and that’s a big compliment.
I saw the green light over the bypass showing a red color in another video, does that indicate some mode/setting? I didn’t see a mention to the led color in the manual. Thanks!
I want to use this with my soft synths... can i send midi from my audio interface to sync it up with my daw? Also an analog filter pathway would be awesome for future release
That would have increased the cost quite a bit more to make all digitally controlled pots so we had to make a call. Most parameters can be controlled by MIDI however.
@@walrusaudioeffectsI don’t get why it would be that much more expensive? You already have everything digitally controlled already. It’s just preventing a buy from me personally
@@walrusaudioeffects If I run this before my ACS1 (or Canvas Stereo/Sum switch) then run mono from the ASC1 to my amp, will that achieve duel delay sum to mono?
You shouldn't have released a limited BLACKED OUT edition before this!!! I like red more than a black version, but I already ordered BLACKED OUT edition and the parcel is on its way. You just pushed people to buy one saying The Meraki is a special limited edition project and only 500 units available through Reverb. I live outside USA and paid 90$ for delivery and now I see BLACKED OUT edition in my country local store!
Not really. I bought the SDE-3000 for $599 and have no regrets. I'll probably just buy this lol Their Lore is probably my all time favorite pedal. Owning 20 different delays and 15 different reverbs, I love each one for its differences
If outputs do not have their own independent dry/wet pots going from KILL DRY to FULL DRY gradually, than this is NOT a Stereo pedal. And these outputs do not have that very important option. This pedal is going to put the DRY signal always on BOTH outputs, Left and Right, meaning that DRY sound is going to be in the CENTER. For example, guitar amplifier is going to always be infront of a kick drum, center. This is done by designers who are not musicians who actually play on live stages with a band, so they do not know how STEREO FIELD is created.
The pedal does have two independent pots for left and right, just controlled by one knob. The left and right are completely independent the entire way. If you are running stereo in, the dry also is stereo.
Walrus is one the best pedal makers of the last decade. Fantastic reverbs chorus, great drive pedals. Fantastic design and sound. This pedal is gorgeous
What? I’ve had so many pedals it’s stupid. Without a doubt walrus by far for the money gives you more than any other. Sound is unreal. Clean no noise Open it… pots and everything is top quality built to last. I can’t imagine what you heard bad? The new stereo stuff is just unreal. Best reverbs ever and the 385 is amaze balls. I have a rubberneck DOD that I honestly think is the most versatile best and analog delay I’ve ever heard and tap ruined me.. I’ll never get a delay with it again. It’s rivaling tape delays. A DOD! Oh and it’s got expression and the ability to add effects to the delay via … any other pedal you have.
forums having been saying for YEARS this very idea couldn’t be done. but here we are. thank you walrus! cant wait to own another one of your delays!
Thanks!
What couldn't be done?
Finally a great pedal review that gets straight to it! I wish more people understood we are here to listen to the pedal.
Definitely I want this delay simply after 1st minute of watching this video.

lovely to see more and more pedals getting greek names!
this sounds good

So sad you had to sell all your gear. Hopefully, the future holds better or the equivalent of your past gear for you.
This pedal sounds incredible, well done done Walrus Audio.

Thank you! And we support running everything through it.
This is going to be the star of my pedalboard ❤

This sounds incredible!
Beautiful
I am getting one, great playing and Pedal.

Sweet!!! Now I need two amps :)

There goes Walrus Audio taking my money AGAIN this week!
Even more this time!
@@nicklaster1566 yea price tag is kinda hefty
SO beautiful and raffinate ! I'm afraid I need one 🥴
what a great pedal! ❤
Was that creed? 😂 amazing playing for an amazing pedal
All someone has to do to get me to buy a pedal is demo Slowdive with it. Also, this just sounds awesome. 🤘👍🏿
I saw the green light over the bypass showing a red color in another video, does that indicate some mode/setting? I didn’t see a mention to the led color in the manual. Thanks!
This pedal looks and sounds like something from Bioshock ❤
Please guys make some partnership with a brazilian store and bring us this pedal !!! 🙏🙏🙏
Such an incredible delay machine and a dream for me! 🥺

You kinda had me at Space Age Love Song....
Space Age Love Song!!!
I know y'all are a sound company, but these new product trade dresses are on point. Pedal also _looks_ awesome.
Wish this thing had presets!!!
Agreed..

@@walrusaudioeffects Fair enough..Tbh I have a few pedals with preset capabilities and I don't even use them..
Ps: Loving my Lore.. Glorious pedal...

Deleting comments oooof good look Walrus
Sounds dope. What were the other pedals used here? Was there an amp or your amp sim pedal.
Do I hear Jehovah by Elevation at 2:35?
❤❤❤❤
Can this run in mono (vs running two delays in series?)? Tx.
Yes! You would just use the controls for one side of the delay.
Do both channels sum to mono if not using stereo?
No, they are true stereo so they are totally independent. For mono, you’d just run into the left channel.
@@walrusaudioeffects If I run this before my ACS1 (or Canvas Stereo/Sum switch) then run mono from the ASC1 to my amp, will that achieve duel delay sum to mono?

Yes!
🎉
That sounds like The Buckethead from the band UB40's song Sunday Bloody Valentine.
I dig a Slowdive riff here

I saw the price … falling out of love …
That was great until the outtro; I thought he'd brought Thing as his guitar tech.
Why only one time control?
You use the toggle to choose to sync the left and right channels or you can set it to L and then R to set independent delay times.
Thank you, I like series delay with times like 400 then 110, single repeats.@@walrusaudioeffects
only 600$
Anyone else think its a bit noisey?
600 dollars????
Haha. PP
This is a lovely "screw you" to those of us who shelled out $349 for the MAKO delay.

I respect walrus for leaving this comment here. It speaks volumes for their company ethos.
