Every time I hear "FREE" means they will take something in return. Like access to your files or computer with out your informed consent, via trojan horse or back door packet in the FREE download. Recipient Beware

I think not. both computer just have to be on the same network (LAN).
You need to DL a transfer protocol software packet... that's usually where they have the malware. Best to use and Solid state drive to transfer your data. The bonus is you can safely store that data on the drive when done. As a back up.
