Watched another tutorial, tried what they said. 30 minutes later, it didn't work. Yours fixed it in minutes. I now have two networked computers for backup purposes. Thank you!
This is the most helpful video I found for sharing data between two computers. I have been searching for some way to transfer large files safely and faster than any other method, and your video did it.
Thank you for explaining what you are doing! I don't like it when tutorials just do the steps and don't explain what's happening. The way you presented answered so many questions I had. Thank you!
@@schwarzenhund7091 im transferring 120 gb of data and its estimating 30 mins, around 90 mb/s. though i think it has more to do with the hardware you're using

Hello, thank you for your tutorial. When I have finished transferring all the files I need, do I go back into the setting and changed them back to what they were originally? Delete the IP ADRESS Etc? Thanks :)
Some people suggest using crossover cables? I assume they know that their ethernet port supports Auto MDIX , aka Auto-Correction/Crossover? Perhaps it's best to play it safe and use a switch/router? BTW, some USB/RJ45 Ethernet adapters suggest they have chipsets that support it (UGreen RTL8153 or Amazon Basics AX88179A)
Tried this between my work laptop and an old PC from home and it just didn't work. Meant to send off some files from the laptop to the PC before reinstalling windows. I followed the steps but the PC cant access the Laptop, for reasons unknown. They also show different names for the connection, the Laptop calls it Network 6 and the PC - Network 2. Neither are connected to internet. Idk what the jssue could be.
I tried this and it worked, but when I took lan cable out of router and plugged into laptop for downloading a file, the laptop showed 'No internet' inspite of internet being available. I had to reset the adapter to use wired connection from my router.
I put in my first name for username, and my pin that I use when I turn my laptop on for the password and it worked. Other people claim they put anything in and it works for them
Does this cost gbs towards the WiFi? Will bigger files use up a lot of internet? I only have 400 gbs to use on the WiFi. Sorry I’m clueless to how this stuff works
This is why we need Indian tech support. Computers were not designed to transfer files as this process is ridiculous. Just get an external drive and save the headache.
Thanks for helping to configure it I'm building a media server and this is a better way to drop off files than using the app that transfers them over the net lol
Did everything to the word. Didnt work. Only shows both computers and some shared folder like logos....just dings and says cant find....cant see.....cant connect etc when you click on the other computers icon that shows in explorer.

anything?
Thank you! I got a new desktop and was struggling to get the files transferred. This tutorial was straight to the point and worked.
Fireeeeeeeee. After hours of trying to configure local settings, this is the one that works. No stupid credential error for this method. A+

iam trying windows 10 and windows xp 💀
I'm doing this with win 10 and 8.1. what should I do on 8(
The best part of it, that actually has both windows 10 and 11 to make sure everyone understand. Well done 💯👍🏻

If you need to transfer files PC to PC this is the way. I thought a USB to USB would work (and I’m sure it will) but this worked just as well.
USB to USB will never work
I bought usb a to a cable and tried but failed
@@anilchandran3954 Forsure, thanks for letting us know
Via usb it is not work bc the usb work as donor and aceptor type and the pc is donor so donor donor connect cant work.
Maybe if you can write softer what emulates a pc as an aceptor then you can use an usb cable.
If I had just followed this video straight away I would’ve saved HOURS, thanks dude❤
this tutorial is actually so helpful its crazy u deserve more subs bro

Worked first try.
If you're using the ethernet for internet access as well just reverse the ipv4 setting to automatic
Thanks for this brilliant guide. I spent ages messing about trying to achieve this with an external drive before discovering this method 👍👍👍
Thanks brother it finally worked, i was constantly facing the issue of network credentials
Very Helpful video. Deserve more appreciation

Thanks buddy. To the point and amazing tutorial. Keep up the goof work!
Very useful, easy to follow. Thanks
Are the sharing settings something we should revert back for protection of files?
If we keep these settings are we exposed?
Change the ip address where u changed it back to automatic
You are the MVP. Thank you so much brother.
why is it so slow (10mb/s) if any cheap ethernet cable can easy handle 100mb/s ?
It can easily handle 100Mbps will mean 12.5MBps (8bits = 1Byte) it showed him 10MBps when transferring so its almost the speed mentioned.
Needs a crossover cable!
Sometimes data transfer speed depends on the type of file. So it's ok if it's sharing 10mbps.

It's lan cable or crossover cable..?
Exactly what I needed. Thank you very much.
For anyone having trouble just make sure to make the network of the laptop or pc you are sharing from private.
does the cable type effect speed.. like should i go for cat 6

Why only 11MB/s? Im assuming you have at least 1gbps lan.. what could be the cause?
