  • Is this the one we have been looking for? Will she be our next "Good Old Boat"? Come along as we are having a closer look at the O'Day 28 CB.

Very nice your video. Do you think this sailboat supports a trip around the world florida, europe, africa, india, thailand, philippines-panama canal, caribbean, florida?

Thanks for the comment. Some sailors hav circumnavigated the globe 🌏 on much smaller crafts. However, the O‘Day 28 has been designed as a coastal cruiser/ club racer. Taking her beyond that might be risky. Cheers!

Thank you for the video. I may post one myself when I can get around to it. I own a 1986 28 O’day myself. When I was searching for a sailboat I knew before hand what I wanted due to comments made by people who use to own and still own an O’day. I am single and I currently live on it and have been for 3yrs now. I absolutely love the Oday 28. She is sturdy and very comfortable. I would take her anywhere and that includes offshore. She has already been to the Caribbean unfortunately without me aboard. Plan on visiting in the next year or so after my surgeries are done and Im somewhat healed up. She is very easy to sail and does good in high winds. Ive had her out in 25-30+ knot winds with no problems. The O’day 28 is an under rated sailboat but if you find an owner like me than they tell you all about the good stuff and not just because they own one. Don’t take my word for it. If you can find one for sale then I encourage you to give a trial sail because you will most likely be impressed. Again they are very sturdy, roomy and feel like a much larger boat than they are especially when behind the helm. Im very pleased with mine. The only reason Oday stopped producing these fine boats is because when they added the new tax back in the day then Oday would have been forced to cut corners and use cheap materials skimping on quality. They were not going to that so they discontinued the 28. I am partial to oday because of the performance. Anyways Ive said enough..lol. Hopefully you will make some more videos on your 28. Looking forward to them
