I have a few hives of bees in my back yard. In the fall I need to treat them with oxalic acid to kill off the varroa mites that will destroy the hive if left unchecked. The best time to do this is at night when the bees are all back home. Bees don't sleep so if they see light they will assume it is time to go forage. A bee's visual spectrum is different from ours and they can see ultraviolet but not red. Beekeepers use dim red lights when working the hive at night.
I had just finished the second of 4 hives when I heard some movement behind me. I turned to look with my red light but didn't see anything at first. I proceeded to work on hive 3 which faces the other direction. This time I was looking in the right direction when the movement came back. I saw two bright red glowing eyes looking at me. They froze in the dim light pointing at them. Then a second pair of eyes came from behind a tree and also looked at me. I was debating if I should risk the bees to turn on my bright white light for a clearer image. I walked past the hives, towards the eyes and clicked the light. A handful of bees flew from the hive onto my flashlight blocking the beam, but not before I saw them...
My 2 cats came out to see what I was up to. It is dark and I am covered in bees. I turn the light out and place it on top of a hive. I walk blindly back towards the house. Tomorrow morning I will retrieve my flashlight and treat hive 4 after dark.

I've seen a hellhound. That hellhound doesn't want to hurt me though. She actually wants me to live. It's probably why i've only seen her two times. @thotslayer9493 They're quite big. What i saw was too big to be a wolf, and too small to be a werewolf. It wasn't an Irish wolfhound, because even Irish wolfhounds and great danes are too small compared to what i saw. Hellhounds are enormous hounds, as big as a black bear standing on it's hind legs, and has the appearence of a dog, and quite similar to wolves, only way bigger. While the hellhound i saw is friendly, i don't recommend searching for her. Sweden doesn't have black bears, so it was not a bear.

Not very smart to go running toward anything that looked like a mountain lion to begin with ! And leaving your dog tied to something while a aggressive dog is around is a good way for your dog to get hurt or worse! Shouldn't have left him to walk in a cave alone in a leash! there's actually recently been some mainstream scientific attention given to the fact that people who have paranormal experiences more often than not tend to have more than one, and it almost seems like the more someone has, the more they're likely to continue having. Now, of course the skeptical approach here might be to use this as further reason to dismiss the paranormal in general, like you could probably argue that this just points to it all more likely being either people having undiagnosed mental illness and mistaking it for paranormal stuff, or simply being liars. Recently, though, this one researcher (can't remember their name atm, but this is someone who is actually somewhat respected in mainstream academia) has been taking a surprisingly different approach based on this; they've basically noted that paranormal experiences could be thought of kind of like symptoms of a particular condition, "haunted person syndrome", which I guess could be skeptically assumed to just be a particular presentation of mental illness, but this researcher doesn't necessarily go for that angle, remaining kind of more agnostic about the whole thing I guess you could say, and noting that their model is sort of metaphysically neutral (it could be read through a skeptical lens or one as a believer in the paranormal just as easily). It's a really interesting idea though, both because it acknowledges how some people seem almost "marked" to keep encountering strange things, and also because it actually acknowledges that in some ways paranormal experiences might be more the rule than the exception, considering how many people actually report them.
Also, just in general it's nice to see what might be the beginning of a new approach, where researchers and healthcare professionals and whoever actually take people's encounters at least somewhat seriously, or at least open to the idea that they experienced *something* , and might have been very affected by what they experienced, whatever exactly it was.

The creature encountered in the White River Wendigo story is definitely not a Wendigo. The creature is more accurate to a Wechuge than a Wendigo. Wendigo do NOT have antlers and do NOT wear a deer or elk skull on their face. Wendigo are pale emaciated humanoid creatures that are completely hairless, have lipless mouths(because they chew them off)full of razor sharp teeth, icy blue, or white eyes. Wendigo are very tall creatures too. Some have been reported to be close to 10 or 11 feet tall. The Wechuge is what you saw my friend. It's a common misidentification because Hollywood and Creepypastas have ruined the legend of the Wendigo and combined it with the Wechuge to make their own version of a Wendigo, but it is not accurate to Algonquin folklore. Cannibalism and Excessive Greed are believed to both be acts that bring about the manifestation of a Wendigo or a Wechuge.

There is no such thing as a "Rake". The "Rake" was created based upon the cryptid know as a Crawler. The "Rake" is a fictional character that was created by the author of a Creepypasta story. What people are encountering is called a Crawler. A Crawler is a pale humanoid creature that is usually depicted as having long, lanky arms and legs. It is usually completely hairless except for some long, stringy, thin black hair on top of its head. They usually have black eyes that glow yellow when caught in the light. Crawlers are very fast and can travel quite easily on two legs or on all four limbs. They usually emit a clicking type noise which is thought to be how they communicate with one another as well. When frightened or I jures they usually make a loud and ear piercing screeching sound. They have been thought to be able to mimic the voices of loved ones just like the Wendigo can which is really scary if you think about it. Most encounters Crawlers do not attack people, but there are numerous reports of being chased or followed by these creatures when encountered. Encounters usually happen in the deep woods, open fields, on farms, and other remote areas in rural America. Crawlers are thought to be a subterranean species of humanoid that lives in the vast cave systems underneath America and many other continents abroad. Encounters have been increasing recently and, to me, that is a very frightening thought...

The story about the rake or crawler in Oregon really touches home I think that was a juvenile if it was even a true story I know that back in 2000 for me and my friend Amber God rest her soul or chased up a tree by something that seems similar to that description except it had two back legs as well and that was an Eastern Oregon most terrifying nightmare life I really thought it was a dream but it wasn't as the cold morning crept up on us and we were back-to-back up in a f****** pine tree
