  • Spreading mulch or topsoil? This is an in depth look at what a cubic yard is. I used our Case Skid Steer to make 4 piles of mulch ranging from 1-4 cubic yards. I give an up close look at each pile, and also further explain the coverage of a yard. The video was taken at Grillo Services LLC, a landscape supply and organic recycling company.

Very helpful video. I used it to visualize what 2 yards of soil would look like for my yard. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video!!! It was so helpful to see the amount as you demonstrated. I wasn't sure if I received the right amount until checking here. Will help me order in the future.

You should put a yard stick or a car tire. For visual comparison

So how many yards can a standard pickup carry, like an F150? Thanks!

You can fit two yards of mulch in an 8’ pickup bed.

Well, for someone who does not know, when you say a 10 x 10 x 4 that is 400 square feet. One yard is 27 square feet, So now devide the 27 into 400. That is not 4 yards. Find a better way to explain it. And for the record, it is very hard to find an honest company that will give you what you pay for. They always want to skim a little here and there. The more you buy, the more they keep.

He’s talking CUBIC Feet, not Square Feet.

He says 7x7x3 =2 yards, if that was true it should be 5.4 yards.

      10'x10'÷3.6''=27.7 square feet

Yes, I am mentioning the approximate height of the pile. Obviously it peaks in the middle as it is a mound and I am mentioning these dimensions for the purpose of the viewer being able to visualize how much space it will take up in their driveway or area it is dumped.

Very poor quality video. Confucius Say - One does not film a video with audio on a windy day... Oig!
