Congratulations, you have done a nice job with your house. You are living the dream!
      My observations, as an architect:
I would have built an anti-ballistic perimeter wall, since you are building a wall.
Pedestal sinks are not as functional as a sink with a counter
A pantry is a good feature for a kitchen.
      No basement?
Always plan your foundation so a second story can be added later.

You could dig a borehole and install a water tank so you can be free from paid water supply. That's what we mostly do in Nigeria. Once you have solar for electricity supply and borehole, you have almost no bills

Happy for you guys but you could have gotten a house in Atlanta for that price with tons of upgrades. Sounds like houses are expensive there with no upgrades. I plan to buy land and build in Ghana but I expect a lot more. Bottom line is you guys are happy.

New homes with land were starting at the equivalent of 31K in USD with all the ammenities. Africa is offering a 2020 lifestyle at a 1650s price in many places. I cannot own land with a NEW home in America or Europe for this price. Congratulations to you and your family. It is marvelous to see more and more of us making this move.

I agree possibly the best places in America to own a home is the deep south but that is being flooded with more people who inflate the market. Africa is the new frontier and a land of opportunity. There are African Americans who relocated and never looked back and some of them were able to afford maid service.

Wow congratulations I'm so happy☺️ for you and family. $80,000 for Everything is nice in the states we do start at $300,000. Me and my fiance decided to downsize on land but upsize on the house. The land we was going to by cost $10,585 100×100 so we're settling for a 100×50 plot that cost $5,968. Our house that was supposed to be a 3 bedroom cost $18,000 to build but we decided on a 4 bedroom house which will be $20,000 to build our compound wall will cost $1000. We'll have solar power and electricity pre-paid for. Our water is collected by rain and a water pump that pumps water into the other tanks. I'm so excited to become a home owner💖. Your house is so beautiful I love the design.

Check out this sister in the Gambia, her YT channel is "Bla xit" if Namibia did not work for you. You can contact her thru email in her description line on YT. She got people and network set up for buying land. Ghana is also an option as well as Togo where land is much cheaper than all.

@themuddygee : Which country in Africa are you planning on moving to? The continent of Africa is huge with roughly 54 countries with diverse economies, cultures, languages, religion and political structures. All countries in Africa are not the same.
Some countries in the Northern parts of Africa are highly developed but strictly Islamic in their laws. It is good that you do your research on various countries and find the country that is favorable for your relocation to Africa.
I have nothing against Islamic countries of Northern Africa. It is good to know the laws and customs of any countries before deciding to move there.
Wishing you good luck as you find your way in moving to Africa.

Find an African from the country you are interested living in and ask them to point you in the right direction every country and city in Africa operates differently.

I was born in South Africa and now live in Australia. I want to go back to Africa because I am tired of existing. I want to live again. My prayer is that God will provide me with a home in Namibua. It is small, population wise, and it is very progressive.

I love the design of the front door. Also, I love the amount of natural light you get inside your home. The doors leading tot he bathroom in the master is almost like a secret passageway, lol. I thought it was another closet door. Congrats to y'all. Also, Lance is a cute kid.

I love how you are making a life for yourselves in the Motherland. Kudos to you!! I too am considering Repatriation to the Continent. You and hubby are truly lion-hearted; and all that for only $80k, wow! That would be more than enough for me and my visitors from N. America.

Your home is absolutely beautiful. What I'm learning is that patience is needed. Do you both work outside of the home (to save etc.)
