Congratulations, you have done a nice job with your house. You are living the dream!
      My observations, as an architect:
I would have built an anti-ballistic perimeter wall, since you are building a wall.
Pedestal sinks are not as functional as a sink with a counter
A pantry is a good feature for a kitchen.
      No basement?
Always plan your foundation so a second story can be added later.

You could dig a borehole and install a water tank so you can be free from paid water supply. That's what we mostly do in Nigeria. Once you have solar for electricity supply and borehole, you have almost no bills

Happy for you guys but you could have gotten a house in Atlanta for that price with tons of upgrades. Sounds like houses are expensive there with no upgrades. I plan to buy land and build in Ghana but I expect a lot more. Bottom line is you guys are happy.

Fantastic. I wish more African Americans can invest in a home in Africa. You don’t have to worry about Gentrification, property taxes, housing discrimination and all the other things that you deal with in America. I would also like to tell African Americans that in Africa houses are built with solid quarry stone, and materials that will last hundreds of years. We do not build houses with stucco and cheap materials so the asset will last for centuries to come and you can pass this on to your children and grand children. Please come back home. Africa is home. It will change your life for ever. Thank you 🙏 for the video.

@@AfroAmericaninAfrica Impressive. In East Afri~ such material for a door or any part of especially a rural dwelling, would be infested with termites inside of seven months. For that reason, most people who build dwellings there will have metal doors & windows. That is no issue in the S. Afri~, No?
