Since Eric hit me with the "always take the stairs" I've been taking the stairs. The only time I don't is if I'm carrying something heavy for work but otherwise it's the stairs all day.......and ladders. Lots of ladders!!!!

Wow, you guys must be reading my mind. I just ate a Kura Sushi a week ago, which is 10 minutes from my house. As I was eating I started thinking this would be a good compilation video with you and the Dude. I find it interesting that in America our Nigiri has a small piece of fish where in Japan the fish is twice the size of the rice. Great video! Thanks

It's been a while since I've commented, but still watch!
I had to come by & say, I'm definitely getting the "take the stairs" shirt. It made me laugh since I had surgery in Nov 2019 that left me unexpectedly parapalegic, in hospital/rehab for a month, & let me tell you, it was a NIGHTMARE!!! I had to get around in a wheelchair & couldn't take the stairs!

After 8 months, & lots of hard work while healing a massive spinal cord injury, I was able to finallly park the wheelchair, & while I'm not able to walk 100% normally, & probably never will, I can take those stairs, slowly, but surely. If I want to get up them fast, I'll go all fours 😂
Getting down is easy, but getting up them is a chore. My legs feel like they weigh a ton a piece!!! And my left foot is still mostly dead.
I'm good though!!
And thank you for keeping me entertained during 2020, while I healed, & along with the rest of the world, did it at home!!

Visited my first Kura restaurant in USA (San Diego) and it was so much fun! The booths only have the plate return port, no hot water, matcha, and they hand you chopsticks when you sit down. Th menu is far more limited than what you've shown. Is this because American customers are less likely to enjoy tea? Or are they more likely to steal things or abuse/break them? I ordered some soft shell crab and mixed vegetable tempura and it was definitely fried in some not-fresh oil.

I love this videos so much! The differences between japanese food in two countries is incredibly amazing and enrich all your content. Eric, you and your sons are doing a great work. I'm hungry now, I need sushi immediately and of course, japanese Kura sushi looked more fresh and charming but the american one was funny and dynamic.

I have not been to Japan. But I thought Temaki (hand-rolled) sushi is a thing in Japan - maybe eaten at home mostly? Is it true that normally beer is paired with sushi and saki is paired with sashimi?

Japanese also dip sushi in shoyu. They don’t always pour. But yeah the ginger on sushi was way too American lol.

Just an FYI, they opened the first Kura Sushi in NJ (Fort Lee) about 9 months ago. I’ve had it both here an in Japan and I like the prices in Japan much more 😂 It was really good in NJ though for sure!
It was interesting to hear from the Dude's Got It about needing to step up the rice. I often find (here in the USA) sushi with bad rice.
