First and most importantly, one of the great things about doing this kind work is getting the opportunity to meet people. This time I met very fine people. Chelsea and Mike are the kind of people you'd be lucky to have as friends.
Chelsea in her mid 20's having open heart surgery and given a titanium heart valve; her husband Mike picking up a 2nd job to pay medical bills and everything else......these two needed help and they DESERVED some help. I was very happy to give a day of my life to give them a reprieve. No lawn job lasts forever but if it gives them a week or two of happiness, if it allows them to pull into the driveway and smile rather than be reminded of "work that needs to be done", then it's totally worth it.
When I went and scoped out the job I noticed their dog had turned their backyard into a squishy mine field, if you know what I mean. I told them, "you pick up the Tootsie Rolls and I'll do the work." They didn't miss ONE! Very thankful for that.
So all the perfectionists who like to point out missed opportunities or things done wrong, you'll have plenty to comment about. My goal was to do as much as I could in one day.....all by myself.....and hopefully make them smile at the end, and I got that in spades!! It's not always about perfection, the best tools, etc. etc., it's about trying your hardest to bless people. I think I did that. So I'll try very hard to bite my tongue on the "you shoulda...." comments. :)
Such a pleasure meeting these two. Them and the others I've helped - THEY are what this page is about.
If you'd like to "buy me a coffee" and support the work I'm doing, you're really paying it forward yourself, which is so kind of you! Here is the link: buymeacoffee.com/upnorthmowin... - บันเทิง
Priceless those kids playing in the backyard! Thank you!
Very nice job. May be time for Mom and Dad to introduce the kids to yard equipment.
They have one daughter - not quite ready for yard equipment. :)
Oops! My bad. Sorry. @@UpNorthMowingDude
@@markwhite5638 No worries. All the other kids were from the neighborhood checking things out. :)
Since you seem to want to go back, please tell the boys someone says hello from Québec and listened to them. They were rather enthousiastics and convincing. Smile.
That's nice Marie, thank you. I'll definitely tell them, they'll be thrilled!!
There's more to do so this was just "the first wave". WAY more work than could be accomplished in 1 day. Fear not friends, we'll have a follow-up to this one. I have some ideas. (don't tell Chelsea or Mike). 😂 By the way, I LOVE deleting rude and insensitive comments and blocking them. It's one of my great joys in life.
You made a big difference already! Good job. I'm sure that took a lot of stress off of this couple. Thanks for all you do! I was thinking they need more stones like they had on the side in the space around their mailbox or perhaps some red mulch. Not that you have to provide that of course, I was just visualizing how nice that would look and it would be less for them to have to care for.
@@annmoore6747 I agree Ann. They had more stone brought in but I'd love to see some mulch in their beds. Definitely much easier to manage.
Excellent job ❤👏👏👏
@@liliamrabelolemos9949 Thank you!
😂, and why would anyone want to be rude. 😢 Keep up the deleting of those 🎉
We are about the same age , so I know how hard a 7 hour job can be on guys like us. Great video bud.
I appreciate that Jason. Yeah I was totally spent after this one. I couldn't wait to get home and get in my recliner. I called my wife and asked if she wanted me to bring some dinner home so we could chill and she said, "we have that birthday party to go to, remember?" Ugh! I had forgot. I went home, showered, and headed right back out for a party. I was on fumes and almost fell asleep by the bonfire! 😂 Getting old will do that to a person!
@UpNorthMowingDude looks like we both have an active wife that likes to set our social calendars too. Lol.
So happy for the family, so happy they were greatful. Good people right there💕 Some people aren't as thankful as they should be.
Thank you Ruth, yes they were thrilled.
You are a good man. In a time when so few do for others you do. Thank You!!!
Thank you Jody!
That was great! What a lot of work. It’s cleaning up so beautifully. A great place to spend family time. Thank you for helping this couple, and can’t wait to see what you do next! ❤️
That was a lot of work! 😊
They were a really sweet couple.
I'm glad you were able to help them. Not many will help a friend or neighbor anymore.
You are a blessing. 😊
Thank you Debbie!
Amazing results! 😮 Thank you for all your hard work. Blessings to you 😊
Thank you!!
Great job for such a nice family !!! That mouse jumping out at you made me laugh so hard 😂😂. I had just come in from doing my own yard work and saw this, amazing work, thanks for making this tired girl laugh 🥰
Ha thank you Carol. Darn mouse scared me to death! Glad you got a chuckle.
Looks fantastic❤
Thank you!
Great job. God bless
Awesome job done. May God bless you for helping them out 🙏
Thank you Denise!
WOW from a mess to a beautiful piece of work. I pray that the owners keep it that way. All those boys reminds me of my 3 son's growing up. What a beautiful family. The boys can help keep it clean and picked up right DAD??? LOL
Thanks Sandra. Actually they only have the daughter. The boys were all from the neighborhood that were intrigued by what was going on. But it's the first time probably that they've all played back there which is neat.
Thank you for your kind response and for sure kids are sooo curious and that was a good thing. God Bless you. I grew up in a large family 6 girls and 2 boys and dad and mom loved it all. @@UpNorthMowingDude
Looks great that was one huge garden to do on your own ❤
Thank you Alison!
Great Job Skuller , good to see ya being able to help out the family, they seem so appreciated for the work . 👍🏻
Thanks Mark.
Great job bro. Hopefully they had that fire and relaxed for the evening. 🎉🎉✌️😎
They did do some burning. Thank you sir!
You did a great job 👏
Thank you!
Yay! A 'local' to watch! If I was 65 miles further north, I would've helped you! Good luck on your channel 👍
Well thank you!
Very good job and nice family…well done mate.
Pretty touching man. So awesome. Biggest support and shout out. You have a heart of more than gold. Definitely more energy than I have. Cheers man. Love this channel❤👍💪❤️👏👏
Hey Jeri thank you, I appreciate it.
Awesome job Skuller that couple really appreciated you. That was a lot of tree trimming with loppers. I have a little hand held chainsaw I use now because of my arthritis. Still have my loppers to cut in tight places. Great video
Thanks so much! I need one of those little chainsaws or a heavy duty hedge trimmer.
Absolutely fabulous! You are a machine"
😊 Thank you!
Great job! New blade on the edger looked like it was really a good thing! I think everyone with a yard needs to have basic tools like loppers, hand pruner, and limb cutter ( hand saw, my favorite is a Corona ). Glad you have such a good sense of humor! I have seen lots of toads while working in my yard lately and I am sure neighbors get a kick out of hearing my squeal every time one jumps out of a pot or hose reel!
Thank you Pat. I probably wouldn't have been so freaked out if it was a toad, but it was a MOUSE!!
Looks great !They were so thrilled with the outcome. It had to very satisfying. I am looking forward to seeing what you ideas are. AN AWESOME UNDERTAKING!
@@user-tu9oo7nn7h Thank you I appreciate it.
Awesome job, awesome person to do what you do!
So, I listened to the boys. A Like for you Sir and I suscribed.

Great clean up vid and funny to see your reaction to the mouse leaping out of the trash can. Yea, time for a family gathering around the bonfire to burn up the brush and have some smores.
They've burned a lot of it already. Thanks Doc!
Blessings to you
Great job! The boys at the end were perfect😁👍👍
Yes, lots to tackle on this BEASTIE.... some hard TLC and she will shine again... nice tidy up

Yardwork is hard work. Fantastic job! How about that Colts jacket the owner had on.
This video had everything, including the infamous flying circus mouse 😂. Great job 👏🏻
Thanks. I have to admit, that mouse scared the jeepers out of me! 😂
Beautiful job!
Thanks Kathy!

That is so cool Mary, thank you!! Heck yeah, Irish declarations encouraged on this channel! Thank you for the nice comments.
I thought the front was ok, that is until you made it look great.
Thank you!
Sad that you couldn't get anyone to help you 😢😢😢
I know. Everyone had things going on. Oh well.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏
I was expecting a snake...not a frog.
😂😂 It was a MOUSE!!
Very nice! Sweet couple, great kids! (But the dog? We didn`t get to see the dog! 😪)
Hey UNMD, great job done-even with a "dying battery" epidemic! I'm SO "old school" tools that the guys today are STILL wearing their "new born" diapers from when they were first born! All that "new fangled" stuff- just more problems & break-downs with repairs not far behind!😱🥺😵💔🙄 Doug
Thanks Doug.
@@UpNorthMowingDude UNMD, just remember: "old school is true school!" It's "Quality" that counts, not "Quantity"! Doug👍🎉🐻🦅🇺🇸❤️😁😇🤓
👍🏻
I think you might need to bring a extra battery or two.
I had 3 batteries actually but it was a 7 hour project so they died and I didn't have anywhere to plug them in to recharge. I bought 3 MORE batteries the other day so now I have 6. No more excuses!! 🙃
