been 5 years in los angeles, but still Oklahoma City always something in my heart..been raised here in OKC..i love summer, ill be in oklahoma city soon.
Great city. I was there in April of this year and I LOVED it. Great scenery, lots of things to do, and the NICEST people I've ever encountered anywhere in this country.
if you're going to go through this comment section don't listen to the people who are saying Oklahoma City is shitty I have lived in OKC my entire life never lost a house to a tornado and the people here are very nice the city's growing at a rapid rate it is a GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!
Thunder Aka Vito it's a great place to live, which is why these two guys (vigilantes) have begun to stop crime to protect the city, and keep it's greatness high. I'm. It talking about the video vigilante, I'm talking about n1ghtsh4d3 and gh05t.
I've lived in OKC all of my life and I am currently a part of the OKC Riversport rowing team :) I have traveled many places, but Oklahoma is by far my favorite location
Love this video! Sometimes you forget all of the wonderful things this place has to offer when you've lived here your whole life. Thanks for reminding everyone, and showing the world why OKC is where it's at!
I've lived in OKC all my life and what this video left out was what makes this city incredibly strong - a vast network of strong churches that nurture the spiritual life of its citizens. It's a shame the video celebrated many of OKC's strengths but neglected this most critical aspect that I see everywhere in the business centers of the city. Some of you posting seem to be defensive or even ashamed of Jesus Christ. Too bad. You'll be here but a mere moment. Think about it.
I couldn't have picked a better place to have been born and raised. I may have to leave for a while to pursue my an anesthesia career, but I hope to move right back when I'm done to help contribute to a city that's contributed so much to me.
I don't know why people think we're suck hicks because we're not we speak and sound perfectly normal. People hating on Oklahomans for no reason. Besides, we have CityWalk, which is 7 clubs in 1, which I don't know about you but sounds like a GREAT time to me.
1 more Year and I'll be back home living in my beautiful City! North Carolina is no where near as Amazing as Oklahoma is.... I'll be back Home soon! (:
I lived in OKC for 35 yrs. I love that town ! The cost of living is low, it’s easy to get around , the people are friendly, and the women are gorgeous ! You get all of the weather extremes though. I wish I was back there now instead of being up here in Michigan.
I am one of the lucky ones who has seen OKC transform into a place I am proud to call home. When I was younger, I dreamed of moving to NYC, but now... I'm staying put, buying a house, furthering my career and building my family in my favorite city, OKC! Great job on capturing the essence of our culture and what makes this state great!
I've lived in OKC for my whole life and I want it to become like NYC, Cali, or Chi-Town because I think the more progressive we are, the more people we'll attract and ultimately, become a bigger and better place.
Wow. Don't think I've ever read so many positive things said about their home city-- that's great. My hometown is nice also but sure your traffic is much nicer as well as your people. Great video. Congrats
I need to do a "Out of The Way Tour" now that I've seen the glitzy and happy area's as well as moments of OKC, let me head on over to the Grime & Grit of it.
This place is so different than it was even 5 years ago. I've lived in some of the biggest cities, but I'm proud to call OKC home! I can't wait to see what the next 5 years has to bring!
IDK for sure but if I had to guess, the house may be in Edmond or the NW side of OKC... The lake is definitely SE.. Im not familiar with the lakes down there though... Broken Bow? Eufalla?
I am moving to this place immediately. I don't want any crusted over city that isn't affordable. I want to be part of the uprising of a city that is destined to be the greatest place on earth. I'm selling my house immediately, and heading to Oklahoma City.
JIV3 Kansas City is the same price and it’s an actual City with stuff to do and nightlife. In Oklahoma City you’re going to end up jumping off a cliff if you can even find one.
***** OKC is a very pretty place. My grandad lived there for 30 years and he once said that is waaay better than Ljubljana (Slovenia, Europe) because better pay, lower taxes and succesful living.
Austin Koon Well, it is true that about 1/3 of the state voted for Obama. In the end, he didn't win one single county. BOTH ELECTIONS No other state can make that claim.
Great video!! Made me feel excited to live here (granted I live in a suburb of OKC)! It was wonderfully put together!! -- Maybe this will help us get more recreational family activities too?! :)
I've lost two houses to Tornadoes in Oklahoma, my life wiped away twice. Friends, lost. Cant take this anymore. They dont say a thing about the Tornadoes in this. My brother lived in El Reno, before his life(house, car, memories, not actually his life) was too, wiped away by a Tornado. Getting out of here. Going Northwest.
Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio...hmm wonder why all these cities are growing so fast? Good business climate + energy/tech boom = gold
This video is so well done...I'm so proud to live here. Things have sure changed in the past 73 years. I was so sad to see old OKC go away, but understand now how others had a GREAT VIEW for our city and have done & are doing a wonderful job!!! We have good genes in Oklahoma, God's beloved country!!! ;o)
I've actually been to both places. I live in Oklahoma at the moment. If you are really looking for somewhere cheap to live that is still kinda nice I would move to Oklahoma. Minneapolis is niceer, but it costs more.
the bombing was in 1995..my mother and aunt were supposed to be there that morning but woke up late.luckily they woke up late because i wouldnt be here right now..
I am thankful I moved to Oklahoma 7 years ago and it is amazing how OKC has grown so fast however there still seems to be an issue with racism and prejudice that still sets this great progressive city back.
Oklahoma CIty isn't the greatest haven for Latino as the video might lead on. With the Tea Party candidates firmly in place they want to stamp out any type of culture they can to "American-fy" Oklahoma. I grew up in Norman and lived all over the US. I finally found a place that seem to really exemplify acceptance of all culture. I miss my friends and family in OK, but I'm not itching to move back.
+Franky DeCarlo I Imagine those storms. I live in Montevideo, Uruguay and every time that there is a tornado people gets crazy and scared because they think that here strong strorms are not common, but they don't know that all the country its ubicated in the called "Tornado Hall", an area where tornadoes happen frequently, but comparing it with Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska Arkansas, the tornadoes are not very strong fortunately. Greetings from Uruguay!
OKC is a great place but I heard no mention of the awful Tornadoes that come close to the Metro Area? It is like mentioning that Minneapolis-St Paul never goes below 0 F
Not so bad in the big city. That is how it works across the country, though. In OKC I have run into some very progressive people (and for those more conservative in leaning, the surrounding communities like Edmond, Yukon, and so forth give the more right leaning small town feel). Having been elsewhere, I can say, it isn't better anywhere, on that front. Every state has it's ups and downs. At least the ones I have been in.
yall need shutup I live in Oklahoma and that's rude what if I talk smack about yalls state so if you are a hater keep the comments to ya self ok ok and anyway we have a good basketball team and Oklahoma is a good state and has very nice people stop hateing so much and start liking and we have more country singers in this state then yall probley do o be quiet I am not just speaking out for me but for the people who live here we are united and we would like you to respect are state cause we respect yalls so be quit and if I see one more bad comment I wil freak ok ok thanks bye
Don’t none give a fuck about country singers or your shitty ass state. Guess where those country singers go to become famous? Hollywood, California bitch. California best state hands down all day every day. Fuck Oklahoma.
I see a lot of comments dissing OKC. Well to you it may not be much but to someone who lives in a shitty railroad town with no jobs and a declining population less than 6,000, OKC seems like an amazing place to move to. The businesses, factories, and industries in my hometown are all abandoned and sitting there rusting. Almost an entire block of housing remains abandoned because nobody wants to move here. It's depressing. Not 10 years ago was my town an industrial and agricultural center in my county producing milk, timber, and an Amtrak station. Crime is rising and so is the gap between the rich and poor. The leadership and local government has screwed us over year after money draining year. If it means dealing with Tornadoes I would gladly move out of this dead end cesspit. I'm not going to stick around in and try to save a place that's already fucked up on its own. I'm only 20 and I've got my entire life ahead of me and I don't intend to waste it here!
Yep.. Several of the Doc's at the local hospital are from Canada, A friend of mine from Med School is from Hamilton Ontario and after visiting OKC and area has decided to relocate here as well... Just dont preach about everyone having a firearm and all will be fine ;)
been 5 years in los angeles, but still Oklahoma City always something in my heart..been raised here in OKC..i love summer, ill be in oklahoma city soon.

Damn, now I want to go to Oklahoma City.

some people aren’t christian.
I couldn't have picked a better place to have been born and raised. I may have to leave for a while to pursue my an anesthesia career, but I hope to move right back when I'm done to help contribute to a city that's contributed so much to me.
its a great place to live if you pick the right neighborhood and town..
What a beautiful city. I moved here 12 years ago and loving every single minute of it.
This video makes me love this city even more.
OKC ROCKS!!!! Love my hometown....
I don't know why people think we're suck hicks because we're not we speak and sound perfectly normal. People hating on Oklahomans for no reason. Besides, we have CityWalk, which is 7 clubs in 1, which I don't know about you but sounds like a GREAT time to me.
Okay OKC I see you!

OKC - my birthplace and childhood home! So exciting to see it prospering on so many levels.
I moved here when I was 14 and would never leave. Love this city and the people who make it what it is. Great video!
I've lived in OKC for my whole life and I want it to become like NYC, Cali, or Chi-Town because I think the more progressive we are, the more people we'll attract and ultimately, become a bigger and better place.
this looks amazing and beautiful, i want to move......but i am terrified of tornadoes
Don't move here. Waste of money.
LaVetra Taylor dont forget its hard as hell to get a job here. Even at a damn fast food place!
That is so true. I have lived here my entire life. I will be moving in 3 years or sooner to go to college

So PROUD to be a native Oklahoman!!!!! Exciting things going on here!
Oklahoma City Thunder!!!
I love being right in the middle of all of this. It's been amazing watching this city grow into what it is now and it's only getting bigger.
What are the names of the lakes where they showed the sail boats sailing and where are they located in OKC? Thanks
OKC is a great place to live and i am so excited about seeing it come up.
Oklahoma GOES HARD
Wow. Don't think I've ever read so many positive things said about their home city-- that's great. My hometown is nice also but sure your traffic is much nicer as well as your people. Great video. Congrats

so proud of OKC!

Why do you wish to move to OKC?
***** OKC is a very pretty place. My grandad lived there for 30 years and he once said that is waaay better than Ljubljana (Slovenia, Europe) because better pay, lower taxes and succesful living.
Just stay safe from the tornadoes
Austin Koon Well, it is true that about 1/3 of the state voted for Obama. In the end, he didn't win one single county. BOTH ELECTIONS No other state can make that claim.
Mark Mumma nice!
My hometown definitely has a lot going for it. I love to travel to other places, but I am not a loss for things to do here.
3:51 where/what is this house?
5:02 (hilly lakes) where is this?
THIS is why I love my city.
One of the best places on earth to live and work.
Great video!! Made me feel excited to live here (granted I live in a suburb of OKC)! It was wonderfully put together!! -- Maybe this will help us get more recreational family activities too?! :)
So proud to be part of this amazing city.
This city is beautiful
After serving in the Army, I can't wait to come back to my home.
What's the song at the end?

Beautiful! I love living in OKC!
I saw the "Ao dai" and "Non La". It's a part of Vietnam traditional. I'm very proud of when I saw the Vietnam traditional symbol in OKC :)
Wow, I never realized how good Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was.
Ricky Waggoner, Jr. you never will
famously affordable becasue it will blow away any second
I'm an Okie and I'm proud!!
This is not the OKC I recall from the 80s. What a wonderful new skyline. Very exciting!
I think I would move to OKC if I didn't already live here! I love this City and its people! We have a lot to be proud of.
Advocating diversity, of all kinds, is a big attraction and should be mentioned. It's a great video, for sure.
Beautiful vid! Thanks for the video. 🖤
Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio...hmm wonder why all these cities are growing so fast? Good business climate + energy/tech boom = gold
Wheres the tornado?
So glad we were transferred here and call Edmond, a suberb our home
moving here next month for school

No false, literally the entire video.....
So homesick right now...
the bombing was in 1995..my mother and aunt were supposed to be there that morning but woke up late.luckily they woke up late because i wouldnt be here right now..
I miss OKC, hope I'll be back someday.
I am thankful I moved to Oklahoma 7 years ago and it is amazing how OKC has grown so fast however there still seems to be an issue with racism and prejudice that still sets this great progressive city back.
Oklahoman by choice and proud of my adopted land. WooHoo!!
I've lived in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa until I figured out which city I liked the best.
It looks like a good city but I think that the worst thing is the weather; tornadoes, and supercells are very common there
+Franky DeCarlo I Imagine those storms. Greetings from Uruguay!
agustin1141 tornadoes are outside of okc, reallyz
I live in Oklahoma but I like the raptors
cool video, but i think that grass is edited to look bright green..lol
Proud to be a Oklahoman!
This is awesome!!
What's more offensive, not mentioning them or holding them up as an attraction?
Proud to see Joy To The World 2012 made the cut!
Whoever is incharge of marketing okc is doing a great job, because there’s not much there
I'm from Denver
Accela Software is proud to have such a progressive City on our customer list.
Makes me proud

You SAW this. You didn't SEEN this.
Doesnt get any better than this
Welcome back home
Oklahoma is amazing city to live in but just to put it out there this state is like the most tornadoed state in the us
it is awesome here. (Stay away from Tinsel Town movie theater.)

I'd rather be more like Dallas. There's a reason why half the people in Oklahoma are from California.
