So sorry for your loss, Nate. I am glad your dad was at peace.
Nate, glad your dad is no longer in pain and that you got to spend time with him and had a final phone call. When I lost my dad, I found that getting on the lawnmower and working in the peace of the outdoors helped with the grieving (even though you think you are prepared, there will still be grieving because he was your Dad.) Nate and Katie, take care.

Sorry for your loss, it’s never easy,regardless of the circumstances. I lost my dad at an early age (18), and now 56 years later, he is still missed.
Nate please take a rest break after the joists are in. You need it. ❤
I don’t think you are boring. I just enjoy hearing about your experiences and day. Even if you think that it was uneventful. Although we will never meet I enjoy this adventure that you are on.
Living in and doing Construction is incredibly stressful. Time lines and goals are good to keep the motivation going. However give yourself grace too. Think of it as a marathon and not a sprint. The journey is not always about speed but rather the joy of accomplishing something that you want.
My favorite thing to tell my students is Baby steps still move you forward. We are here to support your dreams. ❤
So sorry for your loss. Take time to grieve in your own way. Everyone grieves differently and at different paces and stages. I’ve followed you since day one but don’t comment often. To Katie, I want to say, I know you read the comments because you’ve mentioned it before. Please, please disregard the negative comment. It’s not easy to work a full time job in corporate America that involves traveling, run a household, and starting a homestead like the two of you have done. From someone who came from corporate America healthcare, it’s not only Nate that’s feeling this loss but Katie is too. The emotion was showing on her face even though she was trying hard not to show it. Nate, like another person said, try some vitamin B12. You might even talk to your PCP about B12 shots. They can be ordered prefilled so you can administer at home as directed. What a difference! You guys are doing a great job and I can’t wait to come buy chickens from you! Headed to TN next spring. Nate I bet you’ll get more than four tasks done! Say hi to Jim and Two Turtles Homestead. P.S. You’re not boring to those of us that have followed your journey from the start.
Watching you two is not boring. You are so real; it is a pleasure not to see the hype presented by a lot of youtubers.

We had a dog named 'Happy' because she always looked like she was grinning. Back then there was a song "Don't Worry, Be Happy' and when it was playing her ears would go up and her head cocked to one side when she heard her name.

I have a chihuahua/corgi mix who shakes and has separation anxiety and fly in the house send her running for cover. But thunderstorms and fireworks don't bother her at all! So crazy.

Truly enjoy you Kraemers! Wonderful to hear Nate that your check list is going down. Sorry about the garden, can you plant again for a summer/autumn crop? Such as spinach, or lettuce!? I miss a garden too. Our building does have an apple tree which produces reasonable sized cooking apples. Great for pies. Wondering about the peach trees you have, can you trim them down so more energy goes to the fruit? ❄️🧊😄👏🥰🤗🙏🙏

Take a big scoop of dirt when you take the tomatoes up that will not damage the roots.
Just cause I need it, try taking B12. It took about 2 months for my system to get enough, now one every couple of weeks gives me plenty of energy, and the lethargy is gone. I can tell when I’m low, the lack of ambition starts creeping in.

What is it lately? Everyone I talk to lately is talking about how tired they are, including myself. Then Nate.
The Bible indicates in Eccl 9:5 that your father is soundly sleeping until the resurrection. May the Lord bring you great comfort.

My condolences Nate. I really think Nate needs some down time. He's dealing with a lot. Katie needs to tow the line and let him have time to process the loss of his father. I mean he des 90% of all the real work on the farm. She could step up for a change. We can see Nate is in shock and she just keeps Yapping about meaningless crap.
First, she has a full-time job. Yes, Nate needs time to process, but HE is an adult, and HE is the one to make that call. Katie knows Nate, and she is very supportive of him and probably knows better than any of us what Nate needs.
You might want to edit your message. It wasn’t very kind. Nate reads these messages too and he doesn’t need anything more weighing on him. Katie is also in pain. You could see her emotion in her face when Nate made the announcement. She hurts when Nate hurts.
Katie seems very caring today and is taking the lead in conversation to help Nate…I would never say such things regardless of my feelings…best to Nate and Katie…love to you both…❤️❤️
