Joe buck is just the michael cole of the NFL. Extremely boring, bland, and nobody wants to hear him. Yet the NFL keeps putting him with Aikmen and giving him primetime national games to cover 🤮
Eli Manning….the destroyer of dreams….the eater of Super Bowl rings….I still can’t believe this dude beat Brady TWICE in the big game with once being a wild card underdog team….just WILD Bruh…
Greatest play of my lifetime. I dont think another play will me as much. Was going thru rough patch as we all do and watching this game and this play gave me a big boost. Best to all.
I’m a Giants fan with a family of Steelers fans, we watched this game when I was a senior in HS and I was hysterical, HYSTERICAL, the entire game and this catch made me lose my shit.
Crazy moment. Kinda stuff movies are made about. Eli is always dogged but yet he did it when it matter most. No crying bout refs no whining bout holding, just history.
You have to change sports to get worse. Mine That Bird in the Kentucky Derby is the worst call ever Also, the commentary of Bo Jackson’s The Throw sucks pretty bad also
The OH MY GOD by Aikman pretty much sums up this incredible play. In my humble opinion the Helmet-Catch and the Philly-Special are the 2 most thrilling and iconic plays in SB history.
I was upset because the Patriots didn't go unbeaten, but, even living in Texas, this pass was amazing. I guarantee you, the 1972 Dolphins team members and coaches (dead or alive) were smiling when the Giants won...
The fact that they had 2 cowboys fans announcing the Giants in the super bowl was such a bad decision, most underwhelming reaction to a play in the history of sports
They should get rid of Joe Buck for this call alone. This is the most flat non enthusiastic call that one could have heard for such a legendary catch. You have so many first time or very casual viewers tuning into watch the super bowl and you don’t even try to hype up the play? No passion? Give all super bowls to Gus Johnson and Tony Romo.
Asante Samuel not only dropped an easy INT he was standing around watching this play.. If that would have been Jack Tatum poor Tyree would still be in a coma today > that was twice where Brady put the Pats ahead in the dying minutes in those 2 SB's and The Pats "D" couldn't hold them. Give big credit to Eli though he knocked off Farve then Rodgers at Lambeau to get to these games.
If this were a scripted play in a Hollywood movie you would say thats ridiculous. But here we were in real life. Unreal. Its why sports is really the only true reality show on television.
wow its tough being an nfl fan, when people never give you credit for any of your super bowl rings, makes it hard watching sometimes, but its not about anyone else's takes
Tyree didn't actually catch the ball on his helmet, he caught it and pulled it down against his helmet. a clutch catch yes but hardly a "helmet catch".
This was a great moment in Superbowl history, but let's be honest. Manning threw a contested pass that shouldn't have been completed Tyree caught the ball already, he just put the ball near his helmet. It wasn't a "helmet catch"
I'll say it again. The Pats just looked flat and uninspired in their 2 playoff wins over Jax and SD. A 21-12 win over SD with no Tomlinson and a hobbled Rivers was far from impressive. The Giants just kept playing the road warriors, taking out the 1 and 2 seeds in the process. If Namath is in the HOF for 1 SB then Manning belongs there for 2. Only QB to win 4 consecutive postseason games twice, and holds current record for most yards in a single postseason. I don't give a shit about his career W-L record at 117-117. Namath's is 62-63-4.
God damn joe buck is so boring should’ve been fired for that call alone like that’s one of the best plays in nfl history and he sounds like he’s falling asleep
The world will never understand why it was ruled a catch. In the NFL, a catch means trapping the ball, bringing it down, and making a football move. Tyree did only one of those three and also, part of the ball touched the ground. New England was robbed.
Go cry about it somewhere else. New England has won so many superbowls and this was one they couldn't win. The giants won fair and square. If your a Lions fan or a Browns fan you can complain all you want. Patriots fans however have absolutely no right to complain. In fact this is karma for all those other teams that got robbed by the refs when they were playing against the Patriots.
@@matthewcrispinwordofGod Cowboys fan here. Just because you don't like N.E. doesn't mean that that was a catch, get honest with yourself. It was a contested catch as the ball hit the ground. If you want to talk about robbed by the refs, HTF is that a catch, but Dez Bryant's wasn't? If you want to talk karma, there must be a reason Brady has a couple of Million dollars worth of 7 SB rings on his hands?
Joe Buck watched one of the most iconic plays in NFL history and all he could say was “Caught by Tyree”

Arguably you could say the greatest “catch” belongs to Malcom Butler and his goal line interception
@@minnesotajack1 That was thrown right to him 3 feet away. Still a great play. There was an insane catch before that goal line blunder as well.

Beat Farve & Rodgers at Lambeau to get to those 2 SB's in the NFC Championship games.. I'll just presume you didn't know that

If there’s one thing Ive ever wanted in sports, it would be that Gus Johnson called this instead of golf commentator Joe Buck.
Or Sean Mcdonough
I would like to hear romo and jim call this game 😂
Gus sucks.
Gus would have blown a blood vessel and passed out. No way he could have finished calling the game after that
All these years later, and you still can’t believe what you just saw.
Greatest moment of my sports viewing life. I knew right then and there the giants were going to do the impossible.
David Tyree should’ve been MvP of this game. 3 catches, one was a TD, and this one arguably the greatest catch of all time. Wow.
Three words to describe Eli Manning...HALL OF FAME
I was at a Superbowl party in Tucson, AZ with my Air Force buds. This was unbelievable. I will always remember this.
My Family some who are not football fans was in awe when Eli broken the tackles and thrown that ball up.. Tyree caught that thing in an amazing way..
greatest play in nfl history and joe buck calls it like its the scripps spelling bee
I’m glad we agree it’s the greatest play ever, even 14 years later
😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Joe Buck had checked out, he figured NE had it in the bag.
"Stop quessing the helmet catch". That was cool for all the right reasons! Awesome play!
Eli manning has thrown for both the Odell catch and the helmet catch what a legend
Most clutch Super Bowl play in the NFL in my opinion
Greatest play of my lifetime. I dont think another play will me as much. Was going thru rough patch as we all do and watching this game and this play gave me a big boost. Best to all.
Is Joe buck ok? Need to check if he had money on the pats in this game he's borderline disappointed this catch was made.
