Sweet deal. I like both sizes, some days you need to get out the big boy, other days the Jr is all I need. They are some sweet work knives, I really like them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this awesome pattern.👍👍

Very nice Sod Buster Jr. Looks just like my older Soddy I rehabed. The time and use the CS will develop some patina, as well, the CS will hold it working edge better than the SS. Enjoy.😀

All my SS knives perform better, develop a better edge, and hold an edge longer than any of my CS knives... mind you, I sharpen on diamond stones. 300 grit diamond stone cost me 20$
I have 3 case knives in CS, and I do NOT prefer them over any of my SS case knives.
I have a Sod buster in SS- it was dull as helll when I received it.. blade stock is kind of thick on the sod buster, so it did take me a good amount of time to get it sharp initially.
All my CS knives are just a soft gummy mess when it comes to sharpening. Meh, I wouldn't buy CS over modern day SS.
There is a reason Case makes most of their knives in trusharp now....
And their TruSharp is bottom of the barrel SS, but Case typically does a really good job manufacturing their blades in the TruSharp...
I have a SS Opinel #8 that slices better than any of my CS blades.
At the end of the day, CS just isn't all that great. It is meh. And the risk of rust just isn't worth it...

I don't have either one of the sod busters. They both appear to have their places. The s&w looks pretty nice as well. I'm curious to what you find out about it.
    Thanks for sharing.

I have that exact same smith and Wesson knife. I remember exactly where I bought it. At least 25 years ago it was on the rack at the check out at my local tsc farm store. It's been the perfect, and one of my favorite, pocket knives I've ever had. If you ever find one , buy it, you'll be surprised how good it is. It's the perfect edc

@JohnKlahr I can still remember taking it out of the package and how glad I was I bought it. It wasn't expensive at all. Maybe 10-12 bucks brand new. Mine still looks brand new. Wish I would have bought all they had. Funny how that moment stuck in my mind all these years

@JohnKlahr I just got mine out. On the reg, the card side, it says First Production Run etchedinto it. The other side has their logo and name etched there. Very slightly used.

I purchased a pocket knife one time that the little round handle shield had fallen out I don't know how much it was two or three dollars. It took me a while to think of what to glue in the empty void till it dawned on me a spent bullet casing cut the end of with a Dremel that says the caliber and name and glue it in. Then polish to a shiney luster ,if you want. Mine is still glued in after about four or five yrs. Just a thought if you wanted to try. Stay safe. The small sodbuster for me, it's easier to carry. 😊
