Salisbury Christmas Market has something for everyone. The city of Salisbury in Wiltshire is famous for its cathedral but its Charter Market dates back to 1227. The karket stalls, the atmosphere, the banter. Meat, fish, fruit, veg, pastries, cheese and flowers are only some of the bargains on offer. Hot food, snacks, coffee and tea all in a market dating back ten centuries. A statue dominating the market square commemorates a man who having been born in the city, never returned. Why?
