    It is ridiculous how many hits those ships can take. Almost as ridiculous that this game has been in development for more than a decade, and cost's a ridiculous amount of money to play it.

      i don't agree for the most part of your comment to be honest. Regarding the hitpoints of a ship: Both are fights about equally skilled pilots, while my opponent is flying way better then me, and therefore, is very evasive. If i'm fighting against a not very skilled pilot, the fight is over in about 30 seconds. On the other side, if i'm fighting against the top pilots, the fight is also over very fast. Also, I guess the higher ttk compared to the live model is required for the overall gameplay. Regarding the long development cycle, i agree, but i do not agree that you need to pay a ridiculous amount of money. I know a lot of pilots which only have a game package (~50$) or didn't paid more then 100$. It's very easy to make millions of UEC in a couple of hours which enables you to buy ships you want ingame.
