As impressive as it is to turn inside out, I feel like the final robot lacks any kind of character. You'd have no idea he turned into an aircraft carrier. It's pretty obvious what G1 Transformers turn into, and I think that's to their benefit. Still a sweet looking bot.
I'd love to see that Optimus and others in that scale with the newer LARGER metroplex, fortressmaximus and other titans. Not combiners obviously because they'd be incredibly poorly scaled.
This would make for a great G1 masterpiece for Broadside if he only had a different head sculpt and was able to also transform into Broadside’s jet mode. Personally I am not a fan of transformers that are this complicated to transform meaning all the tabs that require a tool to pop or flip open. I would probably transform it ones then pup it into my collection. Again it looks great and the scale is good cuz Broadside is meant to be much lager then many of the other Autobots Optimus included. He’s actually about on pair with devestator in just his robot mode. Again simplifying the transformation and it would be a little more appealing to many more collectors.
