Most of these singers I have had the pleasure to hear in the American Adventure pavilion in EPCOT. They are awesome singers! Austin Brown from Home Free had the chance to sing with them for a year before he joined Home Free. Too many people overlook this awesome group! Thank you for the reaction. I’m hoping for more! It’s past Christmas but one of my favorite songs of theirs is “Where Are You Christmas” from the Grinch movie. Be sure to have tissues 🥲!
Voctave is the classical pinnacle of a cappella music! So glad you've found them on your channel. This large group is stuffed with magnificent voices and have Disney in their genes. But give a look at their catalog and be amazed. Love your reaction.
I've been *WAITING* for you to catch on to this group! THANK YOU MS. RED!! NOW... please react to their *Disney Princess Medley* to hear the ladies of the group. PLEASE
@redheadedneighbor Fun Fact: Two of the Lead Singers were actually Official Singing Voices (not THE Official Voices, but Official nonetheless) for the parts they sang in this Medley. Can you guess which two are "the real deal"?
As a PTX fan, this also is top grade acapella and I love both groups. The other commenters are correct… Disney princess medley by Voctave is as good as it gets.
Of all of the Acapella groups, I feel like Voctave is one of the most underrated and I'm glad to see more and more people watching them. A great deal of their musical catalog are Disney songs, Holiday music, and Broadway tunes with other songs sprinkled into the mix. For future viewings, I have a bunch of suggestions/recommendations you can choose from (plus some fun facts or personal takes about each): - Disney Princess Melody (as the Heroes and Villains Medley let the boys shine in some solos, the Princess Melody is where the women get to strut theirs stuff). - Disney Showstoppers Medley (just another fun one with some impressive harmonies and was also the original way Voctave showcased their original tenor lineup) - You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch (a fun song with funny visuals and also the original way Voctave showcased their original baritone/bass lineup) - Prince of Egypt Medley (Arguably one of the best works that Voctave has made in general...but one of the few the don't have a proper music video for so you wouldn't be able to see who is singing...but it's worth it) - The Trolley Song (from "Meet Me In St. Louis," it's one of the few Broadway songs they made a music video for and it's a charming vocal and visual video) - Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame (a clever song mashup and one of my personal favorites) - O Come, All Ye Faithful (If you want more EJ, the tenor who sung at the end of this video, then this recommendation is for you. Also, check EJ's work with VoicePlay as he sang "Go The Distance" with them) - Christmas Waltzes (A holiday song mashup which focus more on the female singers) - Mary, Did You Know (featuring Mark Lowry, the man behind the song who chose Voctave to sing with for a newer take on it) - Poor Unfortunate Souls/I Put a Spell On You (A fantastic song mash-up featuring Broadway star & frequent VoicePlay collaborator Rachel Potter) - The Great Movie Medley (A tribute to John Williams and one of their earliest works) - Where Are You, Christmas? (I won't spoil who sings this one; just know to bring tissues for how it will pull on the heartstrings) - Remember Me (as others have said, Voctave is mostly filled with talented singers who are either past or present members of the Voices of Liberty in Epcot. Because of that, Remember Me was a collaboration between Voctave and their friends from Epcot's Mexico Pavilion: the Mariachi Cobre)
Yes, another great and I do mean great a cappella groups. They are really top notch! They are known for their near perfect harmony and their arrangements are also phenomenal! This is the group that I mentioned the Disney princess medley on! That medley features the female singers in the group each one with their special tone and you can get to know them a little bit! Kate Lot is the highest of the group and I think she is probably the best soprano I have ever heard! You would really enjoy it for the next Voctave song! Friend, low bass Kenneth
Yes, yes, you must review the Disney Princess Medley. It features the five women in the group and it's phenomenal. Also consider The Great Movie Medley. It contains movie themes from all the great movies with soundtracks composed by the great John Williams. Good listening as you journey down this great rabbit hole.
As others have said, I highly recommend the disney princess medley. Also love the disney showstoppers medley, disney love medley (featuring Kirstin Maldonado from PTX and Jeremy Michael Lewis), and the Prince of Egypt medley, to name a few more.
There are 3 must-see videos from them, above all others; Disney Princess Medley (where you get to see and hear each female artist sing a solo), this one, Disney Heroes and Villains Medley, where you get to see each male artist sing solo, and then Somewhere, from West Side Story, where you get to hear each singer sing a snippet of the song, but also hear the absolutely flawless transitions from singer to singer and flawless blend of the background vocals while individuals sing solo. Voctave truly is in a league of their own when it comes to vocal choral style music.
EJ knocked that song out of the park theremat the end, he actually has a video with voiceplay called "i cant make you love me" which is also beautiful 💜💜😊
I adore them all, but in THIS one, Kurt (singing as Scar) is my favorite. First, because he usually seems like one of the silliest in the group, so seeing him as a villian was so fun, and secondly, because I love his vocal timbre.
Welcome to the Voctave rabbit hole! LOVED your reaction. So many choices in their catalog. Definitely recommend as others have said Disney Princess Medley so you get to hear the ladies highlighted. Also recommend Disney 90s TV medley for a silly pick me up or Disney Showstoppers medley. Prince of Egypt medley is my favorite thoigh they do not have a video for it! They have awesome harmonies and i think they get underrated because they are kore traditional accapella and do not feature beatboxing but instead fill the foundation with awesome harmonies and great basses.
Wonderful to see you including some of fabulous a capella groups. They all have the capacity to brighten your day. This fairly recent entry is Voctave's effort give the guys some solo time. The "Disney Princess Medley", about nine years old now, featured only the ladies & I guarantee you'll love it. One of the groups most powerful and popular songs is "Disney Love Medley" featuring a young Kirsten (from PTX) which is something of masterpiece of a capella performance. Enjoy!
Very well done! Voctave always does fantastic. I loved your facial reactions especially for A Whole New World and the end. You are, as always, amazing! Thank you for sharing your journey.
Voctave are a wonderful group. Many things to discover, but I really enjoy their Christmas stuff. EJ Cardona at the end has impeccable breath control. If you continue on your Voiceplay journey, you will run into EJ's brother Omar as guest with them. 'Dream On" and "Dragonborn Comes"are my favorites . EJ also does a few with them.
SO here for more Voctave content. I feel like everyone should experience the sheer magnificence that this group creates. A few suggestions: Disney Showstoppers Disney Princess Medley Disney Love Medley The Great Movie Medley How Far I'll Go
Red if you could play a "bad guy" you would win an Academy Award for every role you had because it would have to be great acting on your part because you are so sweet❤❤❤ I would love to hear the Little Mermaid Medley by Voice Play !! Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney Soundtrack #firstreaction #voctave #redheadedneighbor I would be a hero I'd be Baloo🐻🐻 Red If you ever would do movie reactions you HAVE to do all the Disney Movies Geoff Castellucci does The Bare Necessities hint hint
My favorite was the last one because it’s EJ Cardona. ❤ He has sang with VoicePlay a couple of times and he brother, Omar sings with them a lot. Voctave and VoicePlay are my favorite groups! Disney Princess Medley let’s you hear all of the women sing solos. Also their Great Movie Medley is so much fun and the Disney Love Medley is amazing. Mary Did You Know is a must. ❤
Voctave always delivers a great performance, but their "Disney Princess Medley" ( th-cam.com/video/aBCukAJwKN0/w-d-xo.html ) is unbeatable! It features all of the female voices and will put a big smile on your face!
Voctave is soooo good. The other a capella groups are amazing, but even they will tell you this group is just on a different skill level. Geoff Castelucci has mentioned Karl (the bassist and first singer) as being a “monster” when comparing bass singers. EJ, the tenor and final solo guy, has been a guest artist with Voiceplay.
Who knew there were so many a capella groups! I'm sure it would be great fun playing a villain, especially one like Hedley Lamarr in Blazing Saddles. 😂
If your day is dark. If you’re feeling down. If it’s raining out. If you just don’t feel motivated to go out, just put on any Voctave song. You will smile and all your troubles will be gone. One song I do love by them is “Prince of Egypt medley” there’s no video, but you will have your eyes closed throughout it anyway. Peace.
The last note is from EJ. Rumor has it that breathing is optional for him. He does it occasionally just to fit in with we mere humans! This is a great showcase for the men. Disney Princess medley shows of the ladies. They are spectacular. I love their Andrews Sisters medley. For classics, they do fantastic versions of Over the Rainbow, and Impossible Dream. Their Christmas music is legendary. You really can't go wrong. Great reaction, my friend!! Keep spreading those wings!!
My favorite was the last song that was sung by E.J. Cardona. That song from the Hunchback of Notre Dame has always hit me hard, but when he hit that last not and held it...WOW!
They do a great job I rec also you check out voice play cover of , friends on the other side you will love it thanks beautiful you are doing a great job service spreading these
@@redheadedneighbor She did a whole reaction and seemed somehow to have not seemed to even mention that. Her appreciation was very vague and understated.
Sorry. It was wrong of me to lay into you like that. I apologize. I stand by what I said. They’re virtuosos. I think you and I listen at different levels, but I was rude and I apologize.
So if you enjoyed that last note you should listen to Their rendition of O Holy Night. The same singer is featured (E J Cardona). It will blow your mind but if you really want to be blown away listen to their rendition of Mary Did You Know with Mark Lowry. He was the original composer of the lyrics to it. And if you are really wanting to hear something special listen to them sing Where are you Christmas. The only thing I will say about that one is bring the tissues. This is another amazing a cappella group that will lead you down a rabbit hole to a wonderland you won’t believe. Can’t wait to watch you go down it.
