I love your recommendation for booking back-to-back cruises on Mardi Gras to experience everything it offers. I was thinking the exact same for my honeymoon! I was hoping to find a 14-day cruise but currently, Mardia Gras only offers the 7-8 as the max so back-to-back cruises seems like the way to go! Loved your reviews of everything, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for being so thorough! My husband and I often travel alone, we have no children, and found this review to be incredibly relatable! We are sailing on the Mardi Gras in 2 weeks and are looking forward to trying these venues for ourselves!
I'm traveling on the Mardi Gras this Saturday for 7 days. As a first time cruiser I'm so excited to hop aboard and this video definitely helped on which places to check out. Thank you so much for the video!
Sailing Mardi Gras January 29th for a 7-day and this was the BEST Video I have reviewed!!! You were detailed with free, upcharge and flavor - just what I have been wondering. Can't wait now to try as much as I can, thanks to your video. and may not get off at the cruise ports! I have subscribed to find out more. Thank You So Very Much
Thank you for your honest opinion on all of the restaurants and food available I will be on the Mardi Gras with the wife in may of 2022 7day cruise I’m going to try my best to try most of these eatery’s thanks again
We sail on the Mardi Gras at the near end of March! You video has me so excited about the food! My husband is adventurous and I'm like your wife...just a bit pickier! Great video!
Had same problem with cold food at Blue Iguana Cantina. Decided to try the breakfast burrito that everyone raves about. Flavor was fantastic, unfortunately it was lukewarm to cold which did not work for me. Tacos were fine. Great Review, Thank You.
Thank you so much for this video. We are cruising February 12 and we were most excited for Pig and Anchor (we are Canadian though so may not be as disappointing for us). But now I am more excited for Chibang and Teppanyaki. thank you so much
I sailed on Mardi Gras in October 2021 and agree with your review. The only place I differ is with the Steakhouse. We had terrible service and only so-so food. Loved Chi-Bang, Rudy’s, Shaq’s, Street Eats and Guy’s.
About 5 weeks to my first Carnival cruise on Mardi Gras. I dont like Carnivals older ships but feel like I will enjoy the XL class. There are certainly a lot of food options onboard but I did wonder about the quality compared to other cruise lines. Big Chicken and Guys Burgers seem to get good reviews everywhere, Pig and Anchor is mixed reviews. Main dining never looks good in pictures but we will give it a try.
Great food reviews. We have watched your youtube videos a few times now and take away something new every time. We are super excited to sail in a few months.
We, my wife and I totally agree with you. We were on this ship back in Sept., of 21, and are going on a "Back to back" soon. We were also agreeing with what you had to say about the various food venues on board, and are looking forward to trying a few more that we missed last time. But we are also going back to Chabang a few more times. But you are 100% correct about this ship and the food available.
Our favorites were Emeril's, Bonsai Teppanyaki, Steak House, and Rudi's. The MDR did not impress us at all. Shaqs Big Chicken was outstanding but Pig and Anchor was a let down, small portions and too smokey tasting, no meat flavor, it all tasted alike. Desserts were wonderful all over the ship and the Prime Rib and Baked Ham on the buffet were delicious as was the Gelato. I loved the Coffee flavor!
Well done, very well done! My wife and I cruised on the Mardi Gras 10/31 for a 7 day and agree that 7 days just isn't enough. We are booked again for May 2022 and looking forward to it! I loved your reviews along with the pictorials and couldn't agree more, at least for the places we have tried along with you. I just went on and made a dinner reservation for Bonsai (which happens to be on my b'day). I was wondering if you and your wife have tried Chefs Table? We have done a couple and found the Mardi Gras to be the best one yet. Thanks for posting and you have a new Subscriber in me, will be checking you often, thanks again!!
My friend and I are from Texas and we enjoy going to the best BBQ places in the state. Just one look at Guy's Pig & Anchor and it's easy to tell that BBQ is nothing special. I've heard mixed reviews about ChiBang, but I think you talked me into trying it. Emeril's is a definite for me and we'll probably do the Sushi place as well. I'm looking forward to my trip on Jubilee.
Hello everybody from Ohio, great video and great review. Keep them coming. We're planning going on a cruise ship in a couple of years. We're gonna go probably Carnival Cruise Line.
This is a great video thank you. Fantastic job with the food photography you have a talent. I have a 7 day on the Mardi Gras in February and you managed to make my food choices more difficult. Sushi and Tapenyaki we're not even on my radar before. How am I gonna fit it all in?
Craig. Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. It is tough to fit it all in. I will definitely plan 2 nights at ChiBang! They are open for lunch too, but not as extensive of a menu.
I’m a Texan as well and I’ve never been super impressed with Pig and Anchor. I’ve been on numerous cruises and many with carnival, but I suppose It’s just the nature of where I’m from.
I am so freaking hungry after watching these reviews. We are going in March and now I'm frustrated because I don't know where to go because it sounds like there are just too many good places. I don't want to miss out on anything but there is a finite amount of food that I'm able to consume LOL
Carnival's website shows that Guy's smokehouse & Cucina Del Capitano IS an additional cost, just not at lunch like all the other ships. Are you saying it is free at dinner as well?
I'm getting ready to go on Marti Gras at the end of the month. I don't think we will get to see it all. I'm looking forward to it. I hope I do not get sea sick, I get sea sick on every cruise at least once or twice. Never been on Carnival. Thank you for being helpful. Every reviewer says that that little chicken place is the best. I think it best to get with my sail buddies and map out where we are going to eat for the first couple of days. I think we are sticking to the main dining room at night. But that could change. I'm not spending lots of money on something that is included in the price. I think it is all going to be pretty good.
What are you talking about!., utensils that have been touched by three thousand people is not appealing to you? You make absolutely no sense saying that.
We’re going end of this month; we can’t wait! Thanks very much for your input on the food menu! Now I have to figure out how to go reserve for restaurants?
This is by far the best Mardi Gras food review
Hands down best food review I’ve seen yet.

thank you very much for your time sounds incredible sailing in march

Constance, you will have a great time. Look forward to hearing your food review.
Thank you for your informative review. Sailing on December 26th and this has been very helpful!!! Look forward to watching many more of your videos 😃
Absolutely loved this Review. Me and my friend's sail on Mardi gras this saturday.
Thank you for your honest opinion on all of the restaurants and food available I will be on the Mardi Gras with the wife in may of 2022 7day cruise I’m going to try my best to try most of these eatery’s thanks again

What a thorough AND well-balanced video review!

Good review. Thanks
That's why I did Book a B2B In January 15th and 22nd and so excited
Very good information. I can’t wait for my cruise. This ship is so exciting that Carnival should offer 10-day and 14-day cruises on the Mardi Gras
I agree! The ship is too big for just 7 days.

You will love Bonsai, it is one of our favorites.
Thank you for your video!

Right on point. Carnival is considered Walmart of the seas but it’s not that bad. The food can be pretty good for the overall value
Yay we are leaving in 3 days! So excited for the food review!!!
Have a great cruise.
Awesome video. Thanks for the reviews. Can’t wait to sail on Mardi Gras in July.
Have a great cruise.
Yes they are all good!

What deck is the Scharma station on?
It is part of the buffet

Which date in March? We are headed out on the 26th.
@@seanchambers2672 March 12th. Close to yours
Hi can you also review the casinos on the ships if they have one and slots if they are giving jackpots
My wife and I will sail on the Mardi Gras in January back to back
Make ya a deal! When I go b2b in January I’ll tell the world if 14 nights is long enough to get my fill. Cheers🍻👍
Carnival's website shows that Guy's smokehouse & Cucina Del Capitano IS an additional cost, just not at lunch like all the other ships. Are you saying it is free at dinner as well?
It is included on Mardi Gras, It may well still be an upcharge on the other ships.

Denisa, I have always had good luck with the non-drowsy formula of benedryl. Have a great cruise.
We found the portion sizes are much smaller in both mdr and specialty dining. Just saying.
The only place I noticed it was in ChiBang!, but we did not get into MDR.
Texans are spoilt with incredible BBQ places. LOL! I've got to travel to Texas to try all the amazing Texan BBQ.
It's true, we are spoiled with some great BBQ. One of my "hobbies" is going to the best BBQ places in Texas.
4th video on Mardi Gras food and no one has said anything about Emeril's Bistro. Why no love?
What is your favorite BBQ restaurant in Texas?
Hutchin's in Frisco or McKinney is our local favorite.
Used to LOVE the Brisket House in Houston but that was 35 years ago. Probably long gone. Thanks for your wonderful video series
Pecan Lodge in Dallas has the very best brisket anywhere. Trust me. Franklins is good but a little overblown.
Curious as to how you get invited for free ?
I would’ve thought that the celebrity ships have better quality food
It has been a few years since we sailed with Celebrity. I am not sure Celebrity would be considered a “mainstream” value cruiseline.
What are you talking about!., utensils that have been touched by three thousand people is not appealing to you? You make absolutely no sense saying that.
