my head-canon when I play argonians is that they know what will happen leading up to their escape from helgen, due to the fact that the argonians born in blackmarsh drink hist sap after hatching. And that knowledge of the predetermined future is part of why Argonians are quite pragmatic and emotionally cold. Then it would be funny to think about how some Argonians may choose to act certain ways because of the future they've seen, like an Argonian Dragonborn may see a vision of themselves fighting against the Empire with the Stormcloaks, as well as a vision of their attempted execution, and live their life as a rebel against the Empire because they assume that they'll become a Stormcloak and then be executed, when in reality, they're almost executed just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and then decide to help the Stormcloaks because they were bored.

I need to point out that guns are not "Kinda" lore friendly, they ARE lore friendly. There were cannons in Redguard, which took place almost 1000 years prior to Skyrim. Pretty sure they've developed guns somewhere by then.

Knights LOVED guns and used them as much as they could, American education just doesn't cover this time in Europe because it began after the pilgrims invaded the Americas and before World War 1. Same with the samurai, they used guns quite extensively once they got ahold of the technology, hence why in Like a Dragon Ishin! the protagonist uses a revolver alongside his sword.

@@dogdog357 yeah, maybe. But to be honest, this stuff shouldn't be broken on release. Were not talking about 30+ hour expansions here like dawnguard or dragonborn. This was barely more than an item + questline. It also wouldn't be the first broken creation. The improvised shotgun from fallout 4 had a triple barrel version, which was basically unusable in 1st person on release, because someone forgot to adjust the sights. Anniversary edition for Skyrim broke 2 dungeons, which only got fixed weeks later. Bethesda sadly isn't new to selling broken content, and at this point, we shouldn't excuse it anymore.

fun fact on the PC version, if you hold the slider on the wait function, then hit yes, you can slide it down to one, and it will pass all the hours you had selected when you pressed yes at once. So that's another way you can speed up the process. You literally just have the ability to wait super fast if you use a mouse.

Bit late but there’s actually a glitch to give the arquebus infinite ammo. 1. Remove any standard ammo from your inventory but keep specialist ammo like explosive balls. 2. Equip a crossbow bolt. 3. Shoot. The game will place a ball in your inventory and then immediately consume it to fire the weapon.
I could be wrong but a theory I’ve heard of why it works like that (inventory refresh) is because your killing the NPC or causing them to ‘change’ by making them hostile. The loading of a past save essentially spawns a new version of the peaceful version, be it from you killing them or turning them from hostile to not hostile by respawning them.

Hey, just figured I'd pop by. With more than 30k hours, I can confirm yes, it is quite similar to that. Instead of spawning a peaceful version, it just resets the AI of the hostile one, which also resets their trade inventory. As an aside, you can see their hostile compass marker for a brief moment upon reloading. And if you kill them without them becoming hostile, it will not reset them.
For the Hermaeus Mora quest, you just gotta go to Liar's retreat and there you'll find almost every elf blood type except Altmer, for that one just go to Halted Stream Camp outside of Whiterun and in the spike pit there's a dead Altmer and you're done.

But either way, its more about making sure he cant rush to something OP like a staff of thunderbolts and just breeze through. Id really like to see the tactical uses. Taking each staff and capitalizing on it. Finding the best times to use the rose for a minion, etc. Hell, id say a run like this wouldnt even be complete without a full archmage of winterhold run, as well as collecting every dragon priest mask, dragonborn dlc included
skyrim has a "consistent memory" which is why you sometimes hear a small snippet of sounds from before you load a save. my guess is that when you kill a merchant, the game is like "oh ok this npc isnt coming back, so i can save memory by deleting this merchants shop info", but then you bring the npc back by loading a save and the game is like "oh crap i deleted the info, i gotta make new info now", and thus resets their list.
Not quite. I explained it on another comment, but basically it resets their AI when loading a save, this also affects their inventory (much like using the resurrect or reset commands) and shop inventories, since those are tied to their AI package.

Hey Nerbit! I have an idea for a challenge run that can be done for Fallout 3 and 4 I call it the Bobblehead Challenge. What the challenge is it's that you are prevented from using any skills until you aquire the bobblehead for said skill. Example: You cannot use Melee Weapons until you aquire the Melee Weapons Bobblehead, you cannot sneak until you aquire the Sneak Bobblehead, etc. When it comes to the SPECIAL Bobbleheads, since skills are tied to a certain SPECIAL, those skills are also locked out until you aquire that SPECIAL Bobblehead. Example: Even if you have the Melee Weapons Bobblehead, you still cannot use them until you aquire the Strength Bobblehead since Melee Weapons are tied to Strength, and even if you have the Medicine Bobblehead you cannot use medicine until you aquire the Intelligence Bobblehead. I hope I explained it alright. I believe it could be fun to try and since Bobbleheads are in both Fallout 3 and 4, this challenge can be done twice if you want
Fo4 this can’t work as level ups are forced on you and there are no bobbleheads that can be reached before a level up unless you somehow skip all location exp Fo3 same thing. You literally level up on leaving the vault and you can’t pacifist the escape sequence so you’d be forced to use unarmed or melee or guns to leave.
@@fulltimeslackerii8229you can actually probably leave the vault without killing anyone as the guards won't follow the player if the head towards the door outside. They'll stay in the vault so you could leave and the medicine bobblehead is in the vault and can be picked up as soon as you can see it pretty much and put all those level up points into medicine
@fulltimeslackerii8229 I never mentioned level ups in the rules. Leveling up is fine without collecting the Bobbleheads. You simply just can't use certain skills until the Bobblehead of said skill is obtained. So if Nerbit wanted to put all his skill points into Melee Weapons when he levels up even he doesn't have the Melee Weapons Bobblehead, that's his choice. It's not breaking the rules
The easiest way to collect Mer blood is to get that quest before dealing with the Thalmor Embassy. The Thalmor are high Elves, Malborn is a wood elf (so let him die), and the corpse in the cave guarded by the troll is a dark elf. You can get all three at once that way. Plus, if you go to the place in Blackreach where you can summon the special dragon, an orc always spawns for me.
To be fair it's a CC weapon so somebody else made it and it passed whatever checks Bethesdo has for that, so they're selling a crossbow reskin that somebody ELSE made

if you install the lore friendly guns mod (basically free and more advanced guns then CC) and do the war questline, literally every single siege or defend the fort encounter in that entire section is literally just normandy beach, every single person friends and foe will have a gun, its actually quite insane if you also install the lore friendly pistols of skyrim which are retextured staffs, its quite tuff but refreshing
The thing is those guns are WAY too advanced for any faction in Skyrim bar the Dwemer and even then those wouldn’t be exactly too lore friendly. The Dwarves were still using Ballistas even.

Rules: Can only use weapons/items you have used IRL (with some leeway, like using an airsoft M16 allows you to use the service rifle, assault carbine, etc) Make your SPECIAL and stats as close to what you feel they would be if you took the Vigor tester. Side with who YOU would, in that situation. Etc.
I love the design of the Ogma Infinium just because it looks like it's made with skin of every race, which harkens back to both its inspiration, the Necronomicon, and the quest in Oblivion where you're sent to kill one of every race.

I mean the lore friendly guns of skyrim was already an over power mod and that had a level list version where you could get one from the start of the game (yes I did start a new playthrough with that mod since I cannot buy creation club credits for skyrim because I am broke) and the rifles in that mod also used crossbow animations as well. So I am not surprised that an official addon is just as powerful. Granted you have to go through more hoops to get the official version since you have to travel through a Dewmer ruin but still. Kinda reminds me of how crazy people went when we learned that the rewards for doing Breath of the Wild's second dlc was a motorcycle
@Nerbit13098 I remember it took me ages to get through that fight to unlock it because of how terrible I was back then and remember feeling so proud of myself for defeating the boss and unlocking it. It was such a magical experience to me. While I love Skyrim and I love Fallout the Zelda series is still my favorite fictional franchise. It was the first video game series I truly fell in love with. I've done a lot of Skyrim and Fallout 4 runs as all kinds of different characters and backstories yet my favorites were the ones where I tried to play as Link both on Skyrim SE with mods and on the version on my switch without access to mods. Breath of the Wild was the first video game that I had actually beaten and if there was one game I wish I could forget about to have that experience of what my first playthrough was like it would be Breath of the Wild
If you go to the Tower of Mzark on the surface (it's really close to blizzard rest, up the road north of whiterun) you can do the wooden plate thing on the gate and skip all of Alftand and Blackreach
Fom what I know, you don't even need a plate. Walk into the wall on left side of the stairs and you'll clip right through it. Angle yourself correctly and you can activate the elevator from outside and teleport down into the tower

I just thought of a really stupid challenge, can you beat Skyrim on a horse. I know that technically, no you can't but when has that stopped you before right? Rules are as follows 1. You must obtain a horse as soon as possible. Legally or illegally, the gods will decide your fate. 2. You may only use mounted combat to get kills. (Excluding mobs required for quest item obtainment or progression if they are in an area you cannot take your horse) 3. You can dismount for dialogue and use of merchants. 4. You may not fast travel, anywhere, no carriage rides either. Gotta get that horse mileage. However if your horse dies, you may fast travel back to the nearest stable, unless you want to go truly psychopathic and walk back. 5. Arvak is perfectly legal for this run as he may be summoned most places besides walled cities including Blackreach, so you get to use him to get to an Elder Scroll. Yay. 6. You must do every single horse related quest, such as stealing the horse, Frost, from the Black-Briars, the Dark Brotherhood quest with Shadowmere as a reward and of course, getting Arvak his freedom from the Soul Cairn. For added challenge to this part we will also include obtaining creation club animals such as the Saturnalia reindeer, all of the "Wild Horses" including the unicorn and most important of all the Dwemer horse from "Four Seasons". (This is only if you already own them, don't spend money on account of this stupid idea please!) 7. You may use horse armour if you have it. 8. You may use any weapons you see fit from horseback. 9. Bonus points if you play as Link. That's all I believe I can think of in terms of rules.

I'm halfway through this video and I gotta say, this is most interesting run in a while. 1) I learned something new about crossbows 2) as broken as having a gun in Skyrim is, I gotta give props to the mod creator for coming up with something cool. I think that the idea of the dragonborn being a dark elf or argonian and requesting that Ulfric provide better treatment for his people in light of his service is a good story. I don't really see why that would make people upset, it seems like a good reason for the character to do so. Even when you beat the questline with the imperials, when you ask freewinter to let the argonians in, he says that it's not that simple and that the local nords hate them, so they need to be confined outside the city for their own safety. With Ulfric allowing the argonians into the city after one literally wins them the war, he would probably have a lot more pull with his people convincing them that the argonians are worthy of respect.

And that knowledge of the predetermined future is part of why Argonians are quite pragmatic and emotionally cold.
Then it would be funny to think about how some Argonians may choose to act certain ways because of the future they've seen, like an Argonian Dragonborn may see a vision of themselves fighting against the Empire with the Stormcloaks, as well as a vision of their attempted execution, and live their life as a rebel against the Empire because they assume that they'll become a Stormcloak and then be executed, when in reality, they're almost executed just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and then decide to help the Stormcloaks because they were bored.

Knights LOVED guns and used them as much as they could, American education just doesn't cover this time in Europe because it began after the pilgrims invaded the Americas and before World War 1. the arquebus is meant to be distributed to Stormcloaks or Imperials if you give them the schematics, with new units appearing called arquebusiers wielding the guns iirc

fun fact on the PC version, if you hold the slider on the wait function, then hit yes, you can slide it down to one, and it will pass all the hours you had selected when you pressed yes at once. So that's another way you can speed up the process. You literally just have the ability to wait super fast if you use a mouse.

Bit late but there’s actually a glitch to give the arquebus infinite ammo.
1. Remove any standard ammo from your inventory but keep specialist ammo like explosive balls.
2. Equip a crossbow bolt.
3. Shoot.
The game will place a ball in your inventory and then immediately consume it to fire the weapon.
I could be wrong but a theory I’ve heard of why it works like that (inventory refresh) is because your killing the NPC or causing them to ‘change’ by making them hostile. The loading of a past save essentially spawns a new version of the peaceful version, be it from you killing them or turning them from hostile to not hostile by respawning them.

@@Elyseon coding is weird. Trying to explain how some one makes it work some times is confusing or weird. For example there’s a image in the tf2 files that if deleted for some reason it won’t work.
Hey, just figured I'd pop by. With more than 30k hours, I can confirm yes, it is quite similar to that. Instead of spawning a peaceful version, it just resets the AI of the hostile one, which also resets their trade inventory. As an aside, you can see their hostile compass marker for a brief moment upon reloading. And if you kill them without them becoming hostile, it will not reset them.

For the Hermaeus Mora quest, you just gotta go to Liar's retreat and there you'll find almost every elf blood type except Altmer, for that one just go to Halted Stream Camp outside of Whiterun and in the spike pit there's a dead Altmer and you're done.
Or, if you want to avoid the spike pit, the Talos Shrine Massacre near the Ilinalta Bandits.

Or for the Altmer, if you encounter a Thalmor travelling group and feel like flipping the Thalmor off, just kill them and take the blood.

But either way, its more about making sure he cant rush to something OP like a staff of thunderbolts and just breeze through. Id really like to see the tactical uses. Taking each staff and capitalizing on it. Finding the best times to use the rose for a minion, etc. Hell, id say a run like this wouldnt even be complete without a full archmage of winterhold run, as well as collecting every dragon priest mask, dragonborn dlc included

skyrim has a "consistent memory" which is why you sometimes hear a small snippet of sounds from before you load a save. my guess is that when you kill a merchant, the game is like "oh ok this npc isnt coming back, so i can save memory by deleting this merchants shop info", but then you bring the npc back by loading a save and the game is like "oh crap i deleted the info, i gotta make new info now", and thus resets their list.
Works without killing them though, giving them a slap in the face is enough
Not quite. I explained it on another comment, but basically it resets their AI when loading a save, this also affects their inventory (much like using the resurrect or reset commands) and shop inventories, since those are tied to their AI package.

Hey Nerbit! I have an idea for a challenge run that can be done for Fallout 3 and 4
I call it the Bobblehead Challenge. What the challenge is it's that you are prevented from using any skills until you aquire the bobblehead for said skill.
Example: You cannot use Melee Weapons until you aquire the Melee Weapons Bobblehead, you cannot sneak until you aquire the Sneak Bobblehead, etc.
When it comes to the SPECIAL Bobbleheads, since skills are tied to a certain SPECIAL, those skills are also locked out until you aquire that SPECIAL Bobblehead.
Example: Even if you have the Melee Weapons Bobblehead, you still cannot use them until you aquire the Strength Bobblehead since Melee Weapons are tied to Strength, and even if you have the Medicine Bobblehead you cannot use medicine until you aquire the Intelligence Bobblehead.
I hope I explained it alright. I believe it could be fun to try and since Bobbleheads are in both Fallout 3 and 4, this challenge can be done twice if you want

Fo3 same thing. You literally level up on leaving the vault and you can’t pacifist the escape sequence so you’d be forced to use unarmed or melee or guns to leave.

They'll stay in the vault so you could leave and the medicine bobblehead is in the vault and can be picked up as soon as you can see it pretty much and put all those level up points into medicine
@fulltimeslackerii8229 I never mentioned level ups in the rules. Leveling up is fine without collecting the Bobbleheads. You simply just can't use certain skills until the Bobblehead of said skill is obtained. So if Nerbit wanted to put all his skill points into Melee Weapons when he levels up even he doesn't have the Melee Weapons Bobblehead, that's his choice. It's not breaking the rules
The easiest way to collect Mer blood is to get that quest before dealing with the Thalmor Embassy. The Thalmor are high Elves, Malborn is a wood elf (so let him die), and the corpse in the cave guarded by the troll is a dark elf. You can get all three at once that way. Plus, if you go to the place in Blackreach where you can summon the special dragon, an orc always spawns for me.

if you install the lore friendly guns mod (basically free and more advanced guns then CC) and do the war questline, literally every single siege or defend the fort encounter in that entire section is literally just normandy beach, every single person friends and foe will have a gun, its actually quite insane if you also install the lore friendly pistols of skyrim which are retextured staffs, its quite tuff but refreshing
The thing is those guns are WAY too advanced for any faction in Skyrim bar the Dwemer and even then those wouldn’t be exactly too lore friendly. The Dwarves were still using Ballistas even.

@Nerbit13098 I was in a Nordic ruin with serana, and she resurrected a draugr, I went to shoot it because it would give us away and ended up slicing its neck

This run almost makes me want to buy this mod so I can try it. I probably won't, but your run is still amazing and your abuse of Arcadia over not having fire salts was pretty hilarious. Definitely one of my most favorite runs on your channel.
Also your use of Halo music made me smile. That was something I did not expect, but I was happy to listen to while you shoot up half of Skyrim.

Idea for an interesting run: a “You” build!
Rules: Can only use weapons/items you have used IRL (with some leeway, like using an airsoft M16 allows you to use the service rifle, assault carbine, etc)
Make your SPECIAL and stats as close to what you feel they would be if you took the Vigor tester.
Side with who YOU would, in that situation.
Etc.
This is a viable idea in fallout 3 as well, same to oblivion and morrowind. Though all 3 subtract the faction siding.

The funny thing is that theres a mod that adds a bunch of different "lore friendly" guns spread across the level list.
I love the design of the Ogma Infinium just because it looks like it's made with skin of every race, which harkens back to both its inspiration, the Necronomicon, and the quest in Oblivion where you're sent to kill one of every race.
Use the blood every Elf race to make fake dwemer blood, then get a book bound in the skin of every race.
Not sure how hygienic that would b- OOH LOOK IT GIVES A BONUS TO MULTIPLE SKILLS!

I love how this mod works. It’s like oh you want a gun in Skyrim? Hope you’re ready to work for it. Literally.
I mean the lore friendly guns of skyrim was already an over power mod and that had a level list version where you could get one from the start of the game (yes I did start a new playthrough with that mod since I cannot buy creation club credits for skyrim because I am broke) and the rifles in that mod also used crossbow animations as well. So I am not surprised that an official addon is just as powerful. Granted you have to go through more hoops to get the official version since you have to travel through a Dewmer ruin but still. Kinda reminds me of how crazy people went when we learned that the rewards for doing Breath of the Wild's second dlc was a motorcycle
that motorcycle was so cool, kind of a shame for me it was the last thing I did so really I just used it to ride into Hyrule Castle lol
@Nerbit13098 I remember it took me ages to get through that fight to unlock it because of how terrible I was back then and remember feeling so proud of myself for defeating the boss and unlocking it. It was such a magical experience to me. While I love Skyrim and I love Fallout the Zelda series is still my favorite fictional franchise. It was the first video game series I truly fell in love with. I've done a lot of Skyrim and Fallout 4 runs as all kinds of different characters and backstories yet my favorites were the ones where I tried to play as Link both on Skyrim SE with mods and on the version on my switch without access to mods. Breath of the Wild was the first video game that I had actually beaten and if there was one game I wish I could forget about to have that experience of what my first playthrough was like it would be Breath of the Wild

If you go to the Tower of Mzark on the surface (it's really close to blizzard rest, up the road north of whiterun) you can do the wooden plate thing on the gate and skip all of Alftand and Blackreach
Fom what I know, you don't even need a plate. Walk into the wall on left side of the stairs and you'll clip right through it. Angle yourself correctly and you can activate the elevator from outside and teleport down into the tower
I think having one called an 'Atgeirr' is a reference to a Forgotten Weapons/ Jackson Crawford April Fools prank where they pretended to have found evidence of primitive firearms in an Old Norse Saga.

I just thought of a really stupid challenge, can you beat Skyrim on a horse. I know that technically, no you can't but when has that stopped you before right?
Rules are as follows
1. You must obtain a horse as soon as possible. Legally or illegally, the gods will decide your fate.
2. You may only use mounted combat to get kills. (Excluding mobs required for quest item obtainment or progression if they are in an area you cannot take your horse)
3. You can dismount for dialogue and use of merchants.
4. You may not fast travel, anywhere, no carriage rides either. Gotta get that horse mileage. However if your horse dies, you may fast travel back to the nearest stable, unless you want to go truly psychopathic and walk back.
5. Arvak is perfectly legal for this run as he may be summoned most places besides walled cities including Blackreach, so you get to use him to get to an Elder Scroll. Yay.
6. You must do every single horse related quest, such as stealing the horse, Frost, from the Black-Briars, the Dark Brotherhood quest with Shadowmere as a reward and of course, getting Arvak his freedom from the Soul Cairn. For added challenge to this part we will also include obtaining creation club animals such as the Saturnalia reindeer, all of the "Wild Horses" including the unicorn and most important of all the Dwemer horse from "Four Seasons". (This is only if you already own them, don't spend money on account of this stupid idea please!)
7. You may use horse armour if you have it.
8. You may use any weapons you see fit from horseback.
9. Bonus points if you play as Link.
That's all I believe I can think of in terms of rules.

I don't know if it's just me, but nerbit feels way more energetic and confident in this video compared to his previous videos.

I always assumed that the frost wrath left unique freezeburn on the character which proves that if nothing else, they did get into a fight with it.
Or maybe a residue on you, that kinda thing. I personally don't and just think the stormcloaks are so strapped for people that the "test" doesn't actually matter

This is the funniest video I'd ever watched, I keep laughing of how funny the characters are flying across the map from inside and outside of the buildings. Plus, seeing the gun being lore friendly makes it funnier too.
I'm halfway through this video and I gotta say, this is most interesting run in a while. 1) I learned something new about crossbows 2) as broken as having a gun in Skyrim is, I gotta give props to the mod creator for coming up with something cool. The effect on the unique gun is something that Betheseda should take notes on, that's such a cool feature of a weapon.

Loving the background Halo music. I'm sure it had nothing to do with feeling like an unkillable badass.
I think that the idea of the dragonborn being a dark elf or argonian and requesting that Ulfric provide better treatment for his people in light of his service is a good story. I don't really see why that would make people upset, it seems like a good reason for the character to do so. Even when you beat the questline with the imperials, when you ask freewinter to let the argonians in, he says that it's not that simple and that the local nords hate them, so they need to be confined outside the city for their own safety. With Ulfric allowing the argonians into the city after one literally wins them the war, he would probably have a lot more pull with his people convincing them that the argonians are worthy of respect.
