Peace be with you! This is a crowded area having many tiny mics available. A comprehensive review of them all is required. The comparison should include BOYA mini, DJI Mic Mini, Hollyland Lark 2, Pico Gear PICOMIC 3, Rode Wireless Micro, Shure MoveMic et al. Thanks
I pre-ordered the Rode Wireless Micro and have played with it a lot - I was pleasantly surprised to learn it can plug right into my MacBook. I've successfully used it for video calls as easily as I would any other USB mic, which is really cool. I'm using it for audio-only amateur interview work, and am jealous of that MixPre-10. I'm also generally happy with the Rode Reporter app, but I wish there was an easy way to spot-check a high-latency but still-live version of the recording using, say, AirPods or support for a ridiculous dongle arrangement with wired headphones. For long-running audio, it helps to be occasionally checking on the sound of the person you're interviewing so that you aren't accidentally getting fabric noise or whatever the whole time.
I've used the different rode wireless go sets over the years and have loved them for a range of content. Recently got the hollyland Lark Mark 2, and the Rode micro to test for more smartphone dedicated content. Both sets sound good, but personally, I think the Lark m2 sound better. I do like the option to do stereo recording with the Rode, but it's not essential for the content I create. A big thing to me is the form factor of transmitters. I think the Lark Mark 2s are the design to beat, and neither the rode micro, or these djis look to be better. The only way I would want to sacrifice size and have a larger transmitter is if they had better transmission range, but again for my needs, the Lark m2s have a good range. One other thing to consider is that the rode micro has non removable clip making the overall size larger. I like that you can choose between the clip or just the magnet on the Lark m2, making it overall thinner.
Can this mic be used during ONLINE calls as well? (on iPhone or Mac), like during FaceTime or Zoom calls. As far as I understand, it is possible, but I am unsure.
I wonder how this will compares to the Rode ME. I’m also surprised they don’t sell a set with one white and one black mic. It seems like the white version was created specifically for wedding videographers, but with these options you’d have to buy an extra mic if you wanted two colors and a case.
I’m looking for something just to do voiceover on. I record from my iPhone but I edit my videos on a MacBook. Which one you recommend? I don’t care about the budget. Or should go either way the Rode NT usb microphone
Great video, very useful! One Q… can you use the MINI mic as a remote control or remote trigger for Osmo Pocket 3? E.g. on the mic 2 you can use the buttons to start recording from a distance. Thanks!
Good video, if you have the money just go buy the Rode Wireless Pro, as it's flawless. Very weird that you didn't include the Hollyland M2s in this though, given they're smaller than both, can be bought for just phone or camera or both. And are currently 100 bucks for Black Friday for the highest end version. Really great for if you're starting out in content (and they even throw in stickers to cover the logo).
You missed the current most popular streaming Mics from big IRL streamers, the Hollyland lark m2's. Sound great with noise cancelling, good range and not expensive
They are just too overpriced if not doing anything professional. The Newer equivalent is $30-$40 ($90 with stereo recorder). I have the knockoff NPTCL off Amazon because it doesn’t have logos.
DJI Mic 2 doesn't sound good at all for its price. DJI mini and Rode micro are almost the same. DJI mini is clearly the winner here for its all other features compared to Rode micro.
Rode feels like a miss. The Hollyland Lark M2 has great noise cancelling and you can get a kit with lighting, USB-C and camera receivers. It doesn't have the DJI mini headphone monitor, 5 volume level adjust, or single mic backup track, but it is cheaper and sounds great. There are other interesting options from bargain brands like Neewer, Ulanzi, and Boya too.
I've been making a lot of losses trying to make a perfect trading. I thought trading on a demo account was just like trading the real market. Can anyone help me out or at least advise me on what to do?
Make better videos. OMG how do you have subscribers. So your video is about two mics yet you compare and bring up others, but that's not why I clicked on your video. Also I am tired of these TH-cam people rambling on and on
Be honest. How many of you actually like the $5 TikTok mic?
Here for the $5 TikTok mic review 😂
@@UncleJessyI didn’t expect to see you here. I should have, but didn’t.
Would be a lot cooler to have it as a cable version and have more audio quality
@@jojodroid31 What do you mean exactly?
it has a certain charm to it now that I've heard it so much
DJI really been listenging to customers the last 5 years while other brands have not. they took the cake from gopro, now rode. love to see it.
Hollyland and Fulaim and Rode did it first .. but still when it comes to DJI they are still people looking up
Hollyland did really well too with a better price
Dji is one of the few brands listening to customers and actually delivering QUALITY products at a reasonable price
I was just about to buy a mic, this video is perfect. I'll be going DJI as it offers more.
The Rode didn't sound great outside. DJI seems like the way to go for most.
dji focues to bring customers friendly Product. Well comparison. ❤❤
I’m surprised you didn’t include the hollyland lark m2 in the comparison
DJI Mic FTW
I appreciate the quality that you guys provide no questions asked. Genuinely impressed with how good these videos are no matter the topic.
Thanks
The backup recording on the dji lavs are great for when things mess up or if you set the gain wrong, it’s a must have feature
Is it included with these.... I thought it was only the bigger mics?

great point about plugging into the laptop
How’d you not compare also to the HollyLand Lark M2s?
Does the DJI Mic Mini have a magnet like the Mic 2?
yup it does
Thanks for this video. I’m going on vacation next month and was thinking about buying the dji mini. Now I will.
Why isn't Hollyland Lark m2 in the test?
Guys, let’s be honest: People speaking directly into their EarPods/Earphones is the real audio experience.
Looking for small mic for my mac mini ,just for meeting. Which one should I choose ?
Which one would be good for singing or vocals?
My thought, go with something that has 32 bit float to get around any clipping and has better range like the DJI Mic 2 or Rode GO II.
Wow! Finally!! Some one can compare this models. Now need to wait to compare with hollyland mark m2 -_-
Why not compare Hollyland lark M2?
Lark M2 is missing!
We need to include it on the comparison

Great video and review!
This was such a fun honest review. You are cool bro!!! I'm in...
thought you weren't gonna pick one
Thank you for actually picking one at the end 😂

Does the DJI Mic 2 Transmitter work with the DJI Mic MINI Receiver?
I have the DJI Pocket 3 so was hoping they would drop something similar to the Rode 🙌
I’m looking for something just to do voiceover on. I record from my iPhone but I edit my videos on a MacBook. Which one you recommend? I don’t care about the budget. Or should go either way the Rode NT usb microphone
Loved that you picked one haha
Appreciate the thoroughness of the review. Is DJI mini as simple as Rode micro in that it’s plug and play-you can use with any app?
DJI MIC MINI- will this work with Samsung s23 ultra? plz help out
Not sure if it’s just me, but this guy bears a striking resemblance to the renowned Bollywood actor Amir Khan.
Does the DJI Mic mini work with DJI OA3?
Hollyland Lark M2 i reckon is the better pick than all of these and no one is talking about it
another video with the shure movemic, hollyland lark m2 and the dji mic mini might be more helpful
nah, the hollyland lark m2 is where it’s at 😏
Upgrading from Mic2 for my VLOG
Does it work with Samsung S23Ultra mobile?
The dji is much bulkier to use with the phone.
Can't even lie I immediately went to go buy the DJI Mic after watching this
Rode is more compact and the receiver is not that bulky, but DJI Mic sounds better and connects directly to Osmo Pocket 3 which is a deal breaker
The mic mini doesn’t connect to the mic 2 receiver. Just an fyi for anyone thinking DJI created this to allow existing customers to upgrade their mic…
This is not a fair comparison to be honest. Hollyland Mark 2 vs DJI mini is more acceptable 😅
The real comparison is between Hollyland Lark M2 and these ones
Great video, very useful! One Q… can you use the MINI mic as a remote control or remote trigger for Osmo Pocket 3? E.g. on the mic 2 you can use the buttons to start recording from a distance. Thanks!
Hi! The mini doesn't have that feature unfortunately.
Hollyland Lark m2 is Better
Between DJI mini and Rode Micro, Rode micro sounds more fuller. DJI sounded like the noise cancelling makes the sound worst.
honestly, the shure sounds way better than all of them
Just get the lark m2
DJI, Shure, and Sennheiser sounded the best to me.
Good video, if you have the money just go buy the Rode Wireless Pro, as it's flawless.

Yeah a few people have asked me about that one, I wasn't able to get one for the video in time. I will check it out soon!
@andrump3 Would recommend - the range is crazy and they're tiny. All they're missing is the back-up track IMO. Might appear in the M3.
Why didn’t you compare it with the Hollyland Lark M2 ???
I was thinking the same thing. It's odd to exclude them, especially since they're in the same price range.
They are very comparable, the only down side with the Lark M2 is the lack of stereo when its not connected through its RX Camera Unit.
It'S not just for phones.
You missed the current most popular streaming Mics from big IRL streamers, the Hollyland lark m2's. Sound great with noise cancelling, good range and not expensive
definitely on my list to check out!
Just got the M2 about 2 weeks ago. been loving it so far.
Been using the M2s and love them!
Big miss with not including the Holly Land M2s being cheaper and being smaller foot print. I guess that’s what sponsors are.
Except for the cheap $5 one, they all sounded the same.
Even that $5 one, was not that bad.
2:17 nice video it was clipping
bro actually picked one
They are just too overpriced if not doing anything professional. The Newer equivalent is $30-$40 ($90 with stereo recorder).
I have the knockoff NPTCL off Amazon because it doesn’t have logos.
Wow this really highlights how good becca was, this is weak

This is the first comparison video I've seen. I'm not convince yet. From just straight reviews, I've not been impressed!
Cheapest mic sounds better
Hollyland lark m2 is a better deal
Yeah I think so, I’m going for those instead
I've been making a lot of losses trying to make a perfect trading. I thought trading on a demo account was just like trading the real market. Can anyone help me out or at least advise me on what to do?
I will advise you should stop trading on your own if you keep losing.
If you can, then get a professional to trade for you I think that way your assets are more secure.
I'd recommend Mrs Scarlett to you, her profit is great even when there's a dip
60k from Scarlett Morrison , looking up to acquire a new House, blessings 🥰🥰
I thought I was the only one who knew her well. I guess her reputation speaks for her now...
Hollyland Lark m2 ? If use iPhone only.
Mini smaller than micro lol
How is the Hollyland Lark 2 not here?
I'm surprised you didn't include Hollyland Lark microphoness in the comparison.
I’m pretty sure the rode micro works on any device that accepts usbc as an audio input. Not just phones
(y)
Not a fan of DJI. Terrible security.
How?
@ their drones are blacklisted by the US military for a reason
Yeah so that an American company can sell more lol
@@mervjohnson8010 For no reason. They have not proved any security issue.
