      Make sure you start oiling the fasteners now. May make it easier when it is time.

      @@parrformanceone I will start doing this Saturday, do you have a video on the rear air bags? Found dealer price of $128.00 on-line is less but with shipping it is more.

      I have not done rear bags as of yet. There are a couple of videos on you tube, looks to be easier than the cab bags to me.

    Question why didn’t you replace both bags at same time? Also wouldn’t it be easier to completely inflate the bags to raise the cab block in the up position then replace the bags? I haven’t done this yet but it looks like you would probably have more room to work.

    • @parrformanceone
      @parrformanceone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had replaced the other bag several months earlier. It is good to use the bags to lift the cab enough to block and remove the bags, however I had ordered an incorrect bag, and this is where the amount of lift was insufficient.
      I have since replaced both bags with the correct part number bags.
      I was also replacing a bad bag each time, so I only had one good bag to inflate. The job is not very difficult, if the bags both still hold air, should be even easier to swap them.

      @@parrformanceone I was going to replace the airbags cause it seems to me the cab bounces almost as much as the International or could that be cause those little shocks are bad?

    • @parrformanceone
      @parrformanceone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ericcmotz864
      The bags would only need replacement if they had popped or are severely dry rotted. The shocks would damper the rocking motion significantly. Just as they do on any suspension. Worn out shocks=bouncy ride.
      A quick fix to help with the motion of the cab would be a set of Donvel valves.
      They are pricey but will restrict the air flowing freely between the bags.
      This is most noticeable when you are slow speed backing and the cab rocks side to side. These little valves improve it a lot.

      @@parrformanceone VNL- and D13-focused stuff seems just right for you! You were one of the few I've ever seen use that Lisle quick-connect disconnection tool. (Assuming it's a Lisle. I guess there are a few other brands or rebrands out there.)

    Did I miss part where he used pipe wrench to remove bag?

    • @parrformanceone
      @parrformanceone  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe, once you cut away the bag, the pipe wrench can be used to remove the body/bump stops.

    So glad the video was helpful. I strongly suggest adding the Donvel valves, to control the side to side motion of the cab as well. I have no stake in Donvel, just a customer. www.donvel.com

    • @parrformanceone
      @parrformanceone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, much better ride.
      I also added Donvel valves to the bags.
      The valves reduce tbe side to side rocking motion, especially when maneuvering in a yard.

    Im here to see how to take out the top nut from the top airbag thread ?

    • @parrformanceone
      @parrformanceone  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was able to cut the bag and turn the top half of the bag with a pipe wrench to remove it.
      You will want to spray penetrating oil on the top nut a couple of days in a row ahead of time if possible.
