      @gwilkinson418 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bjamminsincebirth3494 yeah not disparaging Marek at all what you can map on a variety of controllers is excellent and in general the software is the best value for money of anything I have seen of it's type. However I guess I am just thinking of those folks who could use the bank page switch mechanism on a cheaper controller, those that buy a 404 won't be just buying it as a Koala controller and not everyone can afford a 404 mkII. Wouldn't have hurt to let us have a way to trigger or map that. Unless I am missing something.

    I have a question. What is scrolling the beginning and end of a sample like when using the SP with Koala? Is there a way to do a slow scroll like on the MPC sample chopper?
    All my controllers work with Koala in a weird way that moves the start and end points in a box rather than shortening / lengthening the sample.
    I hope someone has some insight

  • @elsatira

    For me it feels kind of redundant pairing SP with Koala, you can do pretty much everything on the SP alone. Only 2 things that are valuable for pairing (at least for me) is stem separation, and sidechaining/mixer, and even doing that, I can just separate the stems on koala, then resample into SP, and for sidechaining I can just run the Koala sound thru the SP without pairing it, just using the SP as the audio interface or using my iPad 3.5mm audio out into the SP.
    Even when pairing, using the SP as a controller is more of a downside (besides finger drumming, and even that, if you hit a blank button you will start recording or a tab is gonna open making it more of a nuisance to use) as it is way easier to just use the huge ass tactile screen your tablet/phone has to change between tabs and changing parameters.
    I love that Roland and Koala teamed up for this but at least for now I’m only sticking with resampling all I do on the SP into Koala for the mixer, running into my SP for MFX, pretty much.

    • @bjamminsincebirth3494
      @bjamminsincebirth3494  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well i understand your feelings. It’s nice to have the options though. I mean imagine starting in Koala when you don’t have your SP. Then finishing on the SP or vice versa. I enjoy Koala for the easy chopping and editing. However the SP has a ton of other things that make me love it too. So why choose. Get the best of both worlds!
