Misinforming people about the history of avocados is ridiculous. Avocados are native to Mexico.

@Markshlkrut It's a Mandela effect, just like the Monopoly man never had a monocle, Ed McMahon never worked for Publishers Clearing House, & The wolf dwells with the lamb, instead of The lion lays with the lamb Isaiah 11:6 in every Bible on earth. Get right with God - No one comes to the Father except through the Son Jesus Christ the Lord.

First off fruit trees have no owner. Here's some info for you. The fruit is native to Mesoamerica but the modern avocado is attributed to Rudolph Hass, from his creation the hass variety of avocado came to be and from that many types of fleshy avocado came to being, these types of avocado's did no exist before. The one cultivated previously to Hass's creation were very small, fibrous, large-pitted, and yield only a tiny layer of that creamy green flesh we all know and love. It’d easily take 30 wild avocados to get the equivalent flesh of one Hass, the worst part is that it was a lottery since the avocado tree might have produced a fruit with no flesh or flesh that is very bitter.
