VW T4 Eurovan | How the T4 Transporter transformed the VW Camper

- The #VWT4 Transporter was a big break from tradition when Volkswagen introduced it in September 1990. Gone were the rear-engined, air-cooled engines that had been a key character of first three generations of "classic" transporters. Instead, there was a whole new range of water-cooled powerplants up front.

This video shows how the fourth generation of Transporter - known as the #vweurovan in the USA - introduced many new features modern #vwcamper fans take for granted - sliding doors on either or both sides, a choice of barn doors or tailgate - and the option for extra camping space inside with a long-wheelbase version.

As a builder the t4 is a tougher van than the t5.1, the latter being a soft under engined city van.
Thanks for this. Interesting. Been travelling in Holland and Germany recently where plenty of T4s seem to be in use.
@@Thecampervanchannel the "dispose of a 10yr old vehicle" seems to be an Irish and British mentality.
I asked cosy campers for a fit out price on a t4 and he told me not yo waste his time and hung up the phone.😆🤣
