I predict that the number of EVs produced per year once full autonomy is available will trend towards ZERO. This is because combining the motor, battery and autonomy system with the people or load compartment will no longer make any sense. As such the devices that will be produced will be MoverBots and boxes on wheels in which people or goods can be moved by MoverBots! Clearly these will no longer be categorised as vehicles.
Fortune 100 companies like GM and Ford are incredibly slow moving. It only takes one Managing Director out of 10 involved in the normal decision process to stop progress. Notice how the Hummer EV had no sales for 12-15 months? That’s because GM is a large company. Turning a 100 company is like turning an aircraft carrier, takes lots of rudder. This is why Tesla is such an incredible investment and I’m all in, they adapt instantly like a startup but is as big as a Fortune 100 company. They turn the Tesla aircraft carrier like a speed boat. No one, not BYD, not Rivian, not BMW or anyone else will catch them. The boxing process and FSD is the last nail in the coffin for others unless Tesla helps them. The reduction of EV demand is wishful thinking on the part of ICE/Hybrid manufacturers. They believe that they can control demand for EVs by producing more ICE and Hybrid and less EVs (they can't buy 'em if they don't exist). This is a flawed strategy.
Yes there is less demand for electric vehicles, for those electric vehicles that are ford, gm ,chevy. Not for teslas. Shareholders should sue her ass !! But I dont think anyone would admit they have shares out of embarressment and shame.
@10:10 Then why did SMR make dozens of videos on this channel detailing how Tesla would do exactly this, Tesla 50% production growth every year for the rest of this decade. Shall we go back to all those 2020, 2021 and 2022 videos where SMR suggested this would be the case? This guy has been calling for Tesla to produce well over 20M units by 2029/2030 for years now. How much is it supposed to be this year? 3.0-3.1M produced? His predictions completely failed to become true, and this year it is very possible that Tesla has 0% or even negative production growth. And we are only at the very beginning of the auto market collapse for this economic cycle. This is still very early stage. But go ahead and keep believing that the Fed cutting the funds rate will somehow be bullish for Tesla and the rest of the automotive industry. Auto loan rates are not tied to the funds rate, and you can expect they will remain elevated for at least the rest of this decade no matter what the Fed does. The funds rate going down, however, reduces the interest Tesla earns on its cash which it is currently using to buy down auto loan interest rates, inventory rebates, and give other incentives to its consumers. This is when things tend to notably worse for the auto industry. It took a full 6 years for auto loan rates to get below 6% post-GFC, despite the funds rate being effectively 0% that whole time.

Bernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghi lowered his Tesla price target by $30 Tuesday, to $120 a share, while slashing his forecast for first-quarter deliveries by nearly 70,000 units to 426,000. Quarter to date, "Tesla has experienced soft China/Europe demand and constrained U.S. Model 3 production,” Sacconaghi said. “Despite the stock’s underperformance year to date, we struggle to see a catalyst for Tesla. We expect tepid growth in 2024, as well as 2025, bringing into question the company’s growth narrative.”
If Tesla bot can get up with AI running in Tesla factories, as suppliers of parts, metal, mining resources, 1 billion Tesla autos made might be possible.
hey GM if you want to sell Electric cars you have to offer 10 to 12 year no questions asked warranty on all electrical problems or just keep selling ICE and learn nothing...😂😂😂
Damn it Steven, when are you going to understand that when you’re talking about the numbers of things…people, cars, companies…you say “fewer” not “less”….”less” applies to amounts of things, not numbers of them!
Odd that someone as smart as Sam Korus from ARK repeatedly misspelled 'forest' in his posts. 'Forrest' was Gump's name in his movie. 'Forest' are the woods.
The argument that EV growth will flat line as the curve reaches 100% penetration is fundamentally flawed! This presupposes that the total per annum sales of all vehicles (or transportation devices more accurately) stays at or below current and historic levels. The much reduced cost per mile of transport may in fact accelerate the utilisation of these assets way above historical norms and thus also push up total production requirements to new levels. Firstly this would be to replace legacy ICE vehicles that have efficiency levels falling off a cliff when compared to electrified transportation devices especially with full autonomy. The effect often know as Jevons paradox will likely also take hold as the unit cost per mile of transportation falls steeply and so the usage of that resource should accelerate the utilisation of these assets. The S curve diagrams shown appear to depict the S curve smaller than the preceding peak of the declining ICE sales which I believe is incorrect, the EV S curve will likely reach much higher volume than the prior ICE curve.
Off topic, but don’t tell me that Tesla doesn’t have a bi-directional charging trick up their sleeve, which they will unveil in the future, through a $1000 hardware fix.
Watch her blink rate, sitting listening to the commentary, then as she answers; it shoots through the roof,... Some kind of deception is taking place...
GM: we've got a pile of crap here, a piece of $H!T over there and a massive diarrhea right over there. All this BS combined will allow us to magically catch up to Tesla overnight. How about GM tries building ONE practical/decent EV before they start thinking they're actually in this race...
14:30 COVID hit hard to global car market. It also seems to have made a paradigm shift towards BEV/HEV direction. If you consider HEVs as ICE (ref. "fake EV"), the growth has been in EVs and ICEs have been flat ever after. Your S-Curve analysis expects that EV adoption is about 50% of the maximum. I.e. in the long term the sales volume will only double.

That danged Tesla just interrupted with a commercial.
Remember in Canada GM is one of the cars government is allowed to lease .so I bet those are leased to mayors and government entities like police department s
Great points all. Also for Sam; *forest. :D
That something new for GM (quality) their vehicles have always been trash
The reduction of EV demand is wishful thinking on the part of ICE/Hybrid manufacturers. They believe that they can control demand for EVs by producing more ICE and Hybrid and less EVs (they can't buy 'em if they don't exist). This is a flawed strategy.
Just like robo taxis will be on the public roads NEVER
Yes there is less demand for electric vehicles, for those electric vehicles that are ford, gm ,chevy. Not for teslas. Shareholders should sue her ass !! But I dont think anyone would admit they have shares out of embarressment and shame.
Or rather I should say the car chruser. Possibly 2 survived. One in a film directors garage & one at a University!
The FBI should investigate Elon for X not spell checking "Forrest"
Barra likely has her job because ICE vehicle sales are doing well....They seem to build good ice vehicles...
Imagine if Elon ever lied like that, they would fry him at the stake!
They already are and he hasn't said anything.
Hey Steven,
Thanks for all your hard work and info. Did you reply to the Tesla promotion of sending share holdings to secure an early Cybertruck? I know you wanted one so just wonder if you went for this offer.
She means Market share in model # of EVs!
Government Motors is led by Mary BS Barra. Such a joke 😮
YA I'm not buying it.
yep
There's nothing in her body language that gives away she's ever lied. It's not like when B.O. who stumbles when he speaks while lying or caught off guard. Drags on, clumsily selecting his words. Then giggles. It's so anglo saxon, if you ever know those people from across the pond.
Happened a lot with B.O.. Less now since I've pointed it out.
Her forecasts were as wrong as yours on the number of vehicles produced by Tesla in 2023 ...so you two are equal
Wait until they launch the $300k Cadillac Sillystick, bro! They're gonna fly out the door! 😂
With legacy's abysmal quality issues, no one is gonna trust them with building real-world BEVs AT AN ACCELERATED RATE!
Ford with the highest warranty losses
GM with their high volume v6 and class action suit against their full size luxury trucks
Stellantis taking amongst the highest quality across all brands.
I smell a BEV muscle car disaster next
lol only a few hummer EVs were sold over here in Puerto Rico , but far more teslas were sold over here. Nothing significant 😂
Tesla best days were on Nov. 2021. Long time to wait for the next leg up. Mean while Nivida is smoking all the way to it's next split
She is talking about vehicles at that time Wasn't even made. Then she said when people get into these vehicles, they are just Wowed . Make that make sense.
Remember that GM credits a sale when the dealership takes possession.
The worst-. taken the half (of the work) out of the car.
Almost everyone makes that mistake
I said yes-no 😅
Let’s be honest the hummer EV looks amazing but just a few people can afford them.
How many Hummers sold to 'Dealers' not end customers.
Holy Mary, mother of GM! Saves us from bankruptcy! 😂
I am a huge TSLA bull. But I have to admit Elon has made more than his fair share of predictions that have been way off the mark as well.
It’s a wonder the media doesn’t praise them for 18 x’ing their Lyric sales in Mexico YOY. 1 to 18. :).
Just spoke with Tonya Harding; Sure, we can catch up to Tesla by 2025! - MB (Berlin burns)
Bravo: a colorful way with words that makes things simple and understandable for the haters out there...😎
Not lies...forward looking statements, aspirations.... These "lies" pump stock.
