You know this episode actually teaches important real life lesson: don't use one fish hook to get another fish hook stuck on your finger.
This almost happened to my friend during our fishing trip. He really did got a fish hook stuck on his thumb and try to get it off using another fish hook to get it off. Good thing many people watched Avatar on that boat and we all shouted at him and managed to stop him. 😂😂😂
Fish hooks always scare me. Anytime im fishing or swimming in a lake where people fish im constantly worried about them lol. Especially since most hooks are barbed, so the only good way to get them out is to... Push them the rest of the way through. Ughhh

Her criticism of Aang that she makes in the discussion is very similar to some criticism people make of Korra 🤔 which is kinda interesting cause I always thought Aang acted like B1&2 Korra in this episode.
Oh for sure. Theres definitely an accurate comparison there when you compare it to especially season 1 and early season 2 korra
Gonna take some time to pick up views and what not but you'll get there.. Also interesting to see Calvin in different format of reacting... As he seen the show before.. I recently watched both ATLA and Korra with someone who never seen it before... Seducing someone is intentional. You can't unwittingly seduce someone. That's a little, "Well what did you expect in that skirt" energy to it.
One of my favorite things about this show is how they show propaganda and in a kids show. I grew up in a cult and people don't really think about the propaganda they consume. Brainwashing is very subtle and we consume it all the time.

One of my favorite episodes! When watching the show as it aired, it was great to get more insight into Fire Nation culture and firebending.
