This episode shows how desperate and dire the situation is, Roku was willing to rush the cycle
I'll have more to say on this later in the series, but I find it so interesting that all of the respect Jeong Jeong has for fire bending is based in fear.
He would have benefited a lot from going through what Aang does to learn firebending.
In Avatar,it's common for the Avatar to master the next element in the cycle(for Aang it's Water Earth than Fire)That's one of the reasons why Aang has such a hard time with fire and why Jeong Jeong didn't want to teach him.
Aang really had mastered fire bending by the end of this episode, he burned tf out of Zhao. 😆😆😆

7:40 reminded me of what Iroh always says to Zuko. “Firebending comes from the breath not from the muscles”
Aang is a wise boy but he is still a child and he is still quite immature for that reason is that sometimes we see him acting like the wise monk that he is and other times like an impatient child, It's funny how the show basically tells you that he's both wise and immature.
the thing about the order is somthing many people misunderstood
roku and every regular firebender learned fire before all others

the point of the order is aang is an airnomad ... he learned his entire life "life and let live" "go with the flow" "be a leave in the wind"
if you do that as a firebender you are going to burn down the world .......

learn first how to move somthing as stuborn as earth then we can talk about giving you fire

Yea Aang knows how to move and avoid because he is an airbender
That's their tactic. They try not to harm their apponent and just avoid fighting
I get why he was rushing things yet Roku was born a fire bender so of course he didn’t see it as big of a deal for Aang to learn fire bending out of order. In the end rushing it was a detriment beyond hurting Kitara as he essentially begins to hate his ability to firebend, which is a shame.
Jeong Jeong is such a cool character

Fire Lord Ozai may be the the most disciplined. Early on we don't get many example but the fact that he was able to burn Zukos skin but not hurt his eye is a good example...
later on we learn about his manipulation..
