- this hotter has not been used for 10 years, it was emptied and refilled about 2 years ago but still wasn't used, the water was left in it and it just turned really bad. there was slugs spiders, woodlouse and the water was Black. there smell was not great either. I arrived at this job at 10am and left at 4pm after having to drain the hot tub then refill it and flush it with hotter flush then drain it again and refill once more! really happy with the end result and think the customer is too! let me know what you think

Yep. I used to do mold remediation and flood damage repairs. We always had respirators on. My boss had to get his throat scraped because of that stuff. It’s serious bad business bruh.

It was a bacteria hottub they just didn't pay rent so is cleaning time
Just FYI, the bulk expense of owning pools, etc. isn't the initial purchase and installation, it's the ongoing upkeep costs. I don't know about hot tubs specifically, but I do personally know that pools take A LOT of chlorine in a season and it gets really expensive to keep buying again and again.
So I'm just saying, not everyone with a poorly maintained pool/hot tub let it get that way just because they're lazy, sometimes it might have just gotten to be too much for the owner to maintain and they had no choice but to adapt their spending on it...
@@Nighterlev not all pools can stay empty for a long time. Sometimes the level of underground water can push the pool up and destroy it and the surrounding area. It depends on the area and type of pool I guess, but definitely not a universal option.

You did a wonderful job man, but I recommend you to get an industrial filtration mask to wear when you're cleaning things as disgusting as this hot tube. You may not realize it, but you are breathing in all those algae and mold spores when you are scrubbing and that stuff becomes airborne and gets in your lungs. You're not an average pool maintenance professional. You have set your business up to where you are known to clean the dirtiest, filthiest, most disgusting pools etc. You need to protect your lungs boss, just think about it. But, wonderful job overall...you do great work!

The camera! Place tripods surrounding the tub, up high. I got superdizzy with all the movement going on with the cam. Trust me, you'll get way more views. I like to speed up to 1.25x to 1.50x You did a great job otherwise. I stopped watching at 8 minutes and just went to the end.

Hello, just a friendly reminder from someone in the back-flow industry that you shouldn’t leave a hose submerged in water if product is added :) If a back-flow event occurred in the street main, the whole street or more could have contaminated drinking water coming out of their taps. Otherwise, you did a great job turning this hot mess back into a hot tub! Cheers from Canada
Nearly all outside taps in the UK have double check valves in preventing back flow
