- Many viewers of Queen Elizabeth's funeral procession couldn't help but notice Matthew Magee. The 7-foot-2-inch man was the queen's private secretary for the past four years, and marched in a place of honor.
It was great that they honored everybody who was around Queen Elizabeth. Even her corgi's and pony got to say goodbye.

She had been working less since her husband died, but you can imagine there were things in the castle that she had him done specifically and not anyone else.

That really nice he got a place of honor..I'm sure it meant a lot to him being her secretary for 4 years. He spent a lot of time with her. Sure it was hard for him too loosing his boss the Queen.

I noticed this tall Gentleman, Mr Matthew McGee, walking the long way up The Mall, then on and on. I wondered how much pain that height would give his legs, and nothing crossed His face at any time, except deep reverence.💫💕🕊

That Man Matthew Magee was with the Queen for the last 4 years, and the respect they seem to have for each other is undeniable. Respect to their relationship.
That must have been a great job for him, to work so closely with her. I am glad that they included him in the ceremony, as I sure he was like family to her, and deserved to be treated as such. Also, people need to remember that the Queen herself was very specific about how she wanted her sending off to include. Apparently she spent lots of time making sure that people like him were included. She was so gracious and kind, and I am sure that ehat she wanted most was to highlight the people who were closest to her in her daily life, not a bunch of political or financial big whigs to be included. She was very down to earth and seems to have wanted her funeral to include even those who werent prominent family members to help honor her life.
I did notice him but I felt very bad because he looked so sad. 💔

I never met her, and I’ll probably never have enough money to visit, but I broke down while watching. I almost felt like I lost my mother again. The heart is a funny thing you never know what it may do.
People with the nasty vile snarks and attacks need to be X’d from society… as irreverent and non-existent. This man was loyal to his job and to the Queen and his place in her funeral procession was rightly earned.

I was going to say he was the aide in the James Bond and Queen video about 10 years ago. I remember he escorted THE QUEEN AND BOND DOWN THE HALL?? Either way he was important in the service to our Queen, and was honored for his service.
That was a different person in the Bond skit. Tall too, but this man is much taller.
