It's not very accessible tbh, I'd recommend playing the campaign at least 3 times through before attempting multiplayer to have enough MRP to start getting the Level 2 Upgrades (note that you will have to play at least one match without them to unlock that side of the aircraft tree, so you could just get that out of the way and then go back to the campaign to just grind).
