Each character is playable with their own special abilities that ensure the mission success and the safety of each other, can split into up to 4 elements and dfm is an ability exclusive to Ace boss fights that can't be won the traditional way and must be taken seriously to survive the encounter. Dfm instead keeps your plane on the Ace while hitting qtes to line up a pinpoint perfect shot, the big circle is replaced with a lock on reticle that must be manually adjusted to track the enemy's lock box which is fairly difficult because of the enemy's evasive maneuver. Dfm will automatically control the plane to keep you linked to the Ace. Dfm is optional to most Ace encounters but certain bosses will make dfm mandatory at a certain health point. idk it's my idea tho for my own game so it's pretty much trademarked 😅

I liked it up until the mandatory dfm but that's just me lmao but yeah that's pretty dope if you ever make your own game like that. And if nothing else you have characters for a book or something, pretty sick

@brauski1417 when you chain PSM you end up with almost instant changes in direction, because the game is Peer to Peer connection (not server based) it struggles to display this correctly in real time for both clients, so sometimes you get a bit of teleporting as it tries to correct itself. The more lag there is between the two clients / faster the change in direction the more teleporting you’ll get.

@crusty_magog figured it was you cheating. "JOKING" Makes sense as it all depends on our different connections and their speed.

​@@brauski1417 it's much more prevalent when someone is chaining backwards flying PSM as opposed to regular PSM. The person on the other side has no idea that they're teleporting, but I'm the opposing end it looks like they're lagging but as mentioned above it's the game not being able to actually process wtf is going on (because it's not an intended feature, but well within the physical parameters of what's possible) lmao

The F/A-18s and F-14s have better stats than their base-game counterparts the F/A-18F and F-14D, but the 5th Gen is a little worse than the Su-57 in terms of stats. But to answer your question, just better stats overall

It's very very strong, but it's one the cusp of being called meta. As good as it is, PLSL, HVAAs and EML also exist. I would say QAAMs are actually more efficient against higher tier pilots. It was weird, HCAAs was something I tried multiple times in high level TDMs but they missed more often than hit strangely enough. Ofc we didnt have the TGM F/A-18 back then either.

Honestly looking back....I think it's because we didn't have the TGM that HCAAs weren't as effective in high level TDMs lol

@@TITANxRaven_Gaming For sure, HCAAs don’t like being fired at high aspect in the same way QAAMs or the slower missiles do. The TGM planes have good speed and high speed manoeuvrability that allow you to get low aspect shots off, which is where HCAAs really shine, whereas the Rafale likes to stay pretty slow and struggles to get into that low aspect position, especially without speed parts + ECU, and the other options for HCAA planes pre-TGM were just mid planes.

​@@crusty_magog this is very true. Bc after I typed that I remembered that I genuinely feel better fighting other high tier PSM planes in a TGM HCAA than I do a F-22 QAAM. And Rafale, as good as it is, really shows its limitations when there are equally skilled X-02s and Su-57s around...and considering that most team compositions included at the bare minimum 2 X-02 EMLs at any given time...yeah lol

@@TITANxRaven_Gaming I know I'm consider a much newer player to AC7, but as I grew more time playing with HCAAs aircrafts. Being strong with HCAAs must be having a very good sense of connecting MSL timing and understanding the movement of one or multiple opponents. As the switch version player are starting to grew stronger every day, I felt very satisfied when I'm able to read the tide of a battle and correctly landing the shots on targets each time when fired. Tho it is really inevitable to get targeted and pointed as a threat most of time, but still it gave plenty chance to test out more amazing moves and turns in one game. I gotta said HCAA actually being a great training tool to me, and I'm so happy to have TGM aside.

Yeah it's a combo that you almost never see from anyone flying the Raven. It's almost always UAVs or QAAMs

@@TITANxRaven_Gaming And I’m pretty sure the Raven is the only player-controllable plane that can use UAVs(Without modding)

​@@SagittariusAyy correct and you'd only see a modded plane on PC so as long as you stick to console you're safe 😅 But UAVs are so unbelievably mid and inconsistent depending on lobby that I don't think it would be anyone's weapon of choice lol
