Interesting subjects. Here's my two cents...
Education should be taught for all regardless of your religious beliefs. LGBTQIA+ education is to teach the youth of today that we are just as normal as they are and we all have hopes, dreams, and desires for our futures. I agree with Sean fully...it is not about converting people at all. It is teaching them empathy. Imagine how those religions would feel if the roles were reversed? They would be furious having people telling them that they are abnormal for believing in a floating man on a cloud in the sky. Just as we are taught science, history, geography, languages...these are often not choices (at least for the first 6-8 years of education). Whether we want to know about WW2 or not, we still learn it. It does not kill us to be educated on the world we live in, even if we don't agree or believe in it. Those who refuse to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.
Lip-syncing world leaders?? Seriously?? I could not name a single world leader I would want to see lip-sync about ANY subject, let alone LGBTQIA+ issues. haha Check it out...there are actually some crazy assed American politicians who tried to create music videos to "get in touch" with their constituents. Yup...singing a song about guns!
I have a very sore spot when it comes to BL casting. I work in the entertainment industry. Thank whomever it is not in tv/screen work but stage. So our world is very open to everyone when it comes to casting. But...in the BL world...most casting is done based on 2 primary things...looks followed by sexuality. They want you to be hot and straight so the crazy girl fans will drool over them endlessly and buy every product mentioned. It has so little to do with acting and the actors being gay for gay roles. Now, I do agree with Hirzi that casting should be by the best person for the role. However...being the best person for the role also includes having actors playing BL roles who are not then grossed out by the thought or action of having to kiss another man. Remember when you guys said you wanted to be actors...so ACT! These production companies need to take a step back and actually ask these guys what they think of the gay community and are they supportive in any way. Or are they just there for fame and money? I have seen some disgusting behind-the-scenes footage in the last few years of some of these actors clearly disgusted by the characters or the actions they are required to portray. If you can't handle the fact that gay people are real and have feelings and emotions and want to be accepted and loved just like every str8 person...then DON'T go for casting of a gay role. Don't use us to make yourself famous while slapping us across the face because the thought of two guys makes you wanna throw up.
And on that note...HAPPY PRIDE EVERYONE! 🏳‍🌈

Teachers who don't educate their students about LGBT+ topics are failing them because they're facts of life that everyone should know about. If people really want to reject the facts after learning about them then they should have all the information about them first to make an informed decision. Of course nobody should be outed against their will in the process, the possibility of which just seems like a convenient excuse to reject the idea and others similar to it.
