- Hi :) I'm Cat, and together with my Miniature Dachshund, Violet, or 'Miss V', as she's also known, we're sharing our life in our 2006 Renault Master.
A big thank you to everyone who has subscribed, and to everyone who watches the channel. I'm blown away by the response to my vlogs, and I'm so grateful to you all.
Wishing you all a fantastic day ❤️

Lovely video ☆☆ 🙂🙂
@@EYE-is-a-shining-STAR Thank you😊❤️
Great video. Great views...
@@teguhindra9116 Thank you 😊 ❤️
I'm the same, love old buildings and that landscape looks like a painting it's so perfect. Have to say, Violet's a good little walker when she gets going ❤
@bobbyb7130 it's so pretty round there, you have to see it to believe it. Violets a good girl with her walking when she gets going, it's getting her started she struggles with bless her 😊 have a great day❤️
I've never been to the Peak district, it looks really stunning 😍. A friend visited Thor's cave awhile ago and sent me lots of pics of her trip.
Little Violet's muddy paws ❤. She had a great time, I think 😂😂.
I've been thinking a bit more about a camper van. The parking concerns me a bit from the safety angle. Seen a few videos of people who have been attacked in their vans 😮. Still have 4 bunnies and a cat, so won't be able to do anything for a year or so anyway. I'm not very technically minded, but if you are using a separate battery to provide power for the camper how do you charge that?
@tazminmoore455 hmmm...I think in the main people are good, I've been living in my van for around 18 months now, and I've never had any bad experiences. I think if you park responsibility, allowed carparks, don't block people's driveways, I do park in residential streets but usually on a tall side wall or Hedges so I'm not blocking anyone's views, there's laybys and basically loads of places you won't be bothering anyone, just think, get out, have a look around for signs and lines. Do some dummy runs now, if you have a car, that's what I did for years before being in the van. Oh, and don't forget park4night, read the reviews though, I've used it a few times and arrived at a spot to think, no I'm not comfortable here, or there's some reason I don't want to be there.
And my leisure batteries. They run a 12volt system. I have 2 x 100 watt. They're charged by the alternator, when I drive. I also have 200w of solar on the roof, which is great in summer but doesn't do amazingly this time is year. So if I get low on power, I just need to drive. I also have a power oak, which can be charged by the 12v cigarette lighter when I drive. I use that to charge 240v stuff like my electric toothbrush, my window vac, lady shave and rechargeable batteries. I use rechargeable batteries to power fairy lights and puck lights too, it all adds to having free electric.
I hope that helps. Have a great day, and all I can suggest is don't watch the bad stuff, yea prepare and protect yourself but don't fear what could be, I trust my instinct, if a place feels wrong I'll move❤️
Great video
@boatcaradventures Thank you😊 have a great day ❤️
Old Castles you say? Aha, I see a trip to Wales in your future... Mystic-Pea 🔮
@peaspeculiars9667 😁I do need to make a trip to Wales for sure, I have so many places I want to visit, Wales and Scotland are both amazing for their castles. Have a great day Mystic-Pea ❤️
What a lovely walk today, with a hint of spring in the air 😊.
You can tell that you are north as it's getting prettier countryside 😊
Have a great day
@WifeyEdwards The peak district is gorgeous isn't it, I was very impressed. Have a lovely day ❤️
Visually sumptuous. You have filled a gap in my UK geography with your latest episode,

@Vanlife_With_Miss_V me and the pooch is, hope you are to ❤️
@Travellingrobbo that's good to know 😊 n yea we're good too thank you❤️
I can relate to you completely but not everyone understands the need to keep moving, have fun, loving the videos.
@lindatemple5454 You're right there, I've not found another person in my real, face to face life that understands,no-one seems to get it...it's not for everyone that's for sure, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Have a great day ❤️
Lovely video 📹 again you must come to North Wales and Anglesey lot of lovely places to see❤
@angelaparry7236 Oh, love Wales, I don't think I've spent much time in Anglesey though so it's on my to do list, I need to go back to Wales too. Have a great day ❤️
I love the Peak District I went there for my birthday in October. A lot of van lifers stay around Caslteton and Bakewell is lovely for a visit. You can park on the agricultural business centre car park it’s where coaches etc do drop offs it’s a large car park and walk across the bridge into the beautiful town with the traditional Bakewell tart and pie shops. There’s also a pretty walk along the river Wye. Hope you get to explore more of this beautiful part of the country.
@andreaPat70 I need to get back to the peak district, it was a bit of a passing through visit but I really enjoyed what I've seen so far, a return visit is a must. Thanks for the recommendations. Have a great day ❤️
I was up in Buxton last year, didn't see Thor's Cave, but recommend the walk to Lud's Church if you're round there again.
@nickbwalking I'm looking forward to getting back to the peak district, it's beautiful round there, thanks for the recommendation 😊👍♥️
I'm not a huge fan of the Peak District, even though I live in Derbyshire. I'm eating my lunch on the edge of the Peaks while typing this. Your expert filming made it look good though😙😂
You didn't get to Bakewell. We could've had the Bakewell tart v pudding discussion in the comments 😂 Come to think of it, there was hardly any food in this vlog🤨
I think when they say no wild camping, they mean tents on the moors, not so much vans. There's plenty of laybys around that are used by campervans❤️
@matthewvaughan6327 not a fan? Where's your favourite place to be in the UK? ...Oh I love a tart and a pudding, they're different but both good. Unfortunately it was a quick drive by visit this time, but I'll be making more of my next trip that way for sure, and definitely more cake and pudding, I can't choose, so I'll take both 😁
@Vanlife_With_Miss_V lol. I'm afraid you're either a pudding or a tart (person🤭), you can't be both🤣 It's taken very seriously in Derbyshire🤣
I like Cornwall, it's why I enjoyed your videos from your trip in December. To be honest, I don't mind most places, apart from Derbyshire.
I enjoyed today's vlog, although I pretended you were in Yorkshire🤣
@matthewvaughan6327 😂😂oh I like Yorkshire too, maybe a future visit that needs to be had 😁 I gotta say Cornwall is beautiful but not my favourite place, that's got to be Scotland at the moment, lots of space and a lot less people 😊
@Vanlife_With_Miss_V I like Scotland, apart from the midges. You and Violet really are antisocial😂. Definitely get up there and experience the lochs in that rowing boat😁
@@matthewvaughan6327😂😂😂Yea we are, we just like a quiet life 😊
In one way I can understand the freedom of being able to move around and not having to stay in one place. Personally I would be very stressed and unhappy if I had to move around that often. I like to have a house and if I want to travel I go from there. For work, freelancing and internet, that way you can also move around in a way. Not having to work with the same people. 🙂
@RelaxedMode-j7d I feel like that about being in a house, I've done it for years on and off and always feel the need to...run, and to move on. I don't know if I could ever go back to being in property, well not yet anyway. Take care and have a lovely day ❤️
@@Vanlife_With_Miss_V I love following your vanlife and travelling though. ♥
@RelaxedMode-j7d Aw I'm glad you're enjoying watching. I hope you're having a lovely day ❤
its illegal to wild camp in England full stop!! but that dont stop people.
You can legally wild camp in almost half of Dartmoor national park or on other land with the land owners permission.
wouldnt that be private land though? private owners give permission and all the land in England is owned by someone, i know Northumberland is owned by the Duke of Northumberland.
@@peterq1978 apparently 37% of Dartmoor is common land the rest is privately owned. And some of the privately owned land has been designated access land. I think it’s a shame we don’t have more aires like in Europe. Or an approach like in Norway where as long as people leave no trace and do no harm then they are allowed to park where appropriate. A lot of the litter and problems come from day trippers and those occasional people that spoil it for everyone.
ah, didn know that about Dartmouth. its probably why we have a "leave no trace" policy.
