    When two people who look at the same leaves of a tree from different angles, the first person may see the cherry between the leaves and the other person may completely miss it but one tiny step to the right and the person see’s the cherry, that’s like awareness!

    Awareness is deep within you, that is our true self. example, if you're in pain because stomach ache, if you're not aware you will just react to the pain and emotions of feeling hurt. but if you're aware, your awareness will tell you " oh, stomach pain, oh its ok, i just ate something bad it will pass soon"
    see the difference? if you have awarenes and conscious, the thoughts and Emotions cannot Slave you.

    • @rollingdownfalling
      @rollingdownfalling 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sabitamahela I guess consistent practicing meditation. If you are a beginner 5 min for 30 days. Don't look for awareness just let it be. If you can recognize your mind wandering away, then it's a good thing, that you have recognized the mind is wandering, Rinpoche said, it's that "aha I wondered away" which is the beginning step into that thing call Nirvana or Buddha nature.
      I find it that if can't get into meditation mode (I.e. your mind is constantly wondering , e.g a bad day) then do some intense cardio before you sit down.
      Btw you can just Google rinpoche's name and learn it directly on TH-cam. His guide is absolutely essential, otherwise you can meditate for 10 years and not knowing what you are doing.

    We are in a time of great transformation. The inpouring of light is accelerating the need to strengthen our spiritual immunity and become a positive force of change to help our entire planetary body to heal. We are each being called to step forward into greater self-responsibility and infuse the pre-existing energy fields with our spiritual light to create new configurations.
    Light is not the absence of darkness; it is the fluid and dynamic essence of life. Being a light worker is a task for the committed, not a hobby of convenience. It is time to extricate ourselves from the many illusions we have developed about ourselves and the world in general.
    The more you call home the parts of yourself that have become separated for whatever reason, and find a way to accept them into your heart, the more vibrant your light body becomes. The very thoughts that you are entertaining at this moment shape your future. This applies to every moment and all the moments that follow.

      @@sabitamahela Hmm I don't think I'm in a good position to explain but from what I get from this video is we have to be able to recognise our ability to recognise awareness. I think the essence of meditation is this I think. Most of the time we stop at "being aware of our own breath" but the goal is to realise that we can be aware of our own breath. And thus we can be aware of our own thoughts, feelings etc.

    He said. Ginger ginger ginger. I just had a sneezing allergy fit. You need more ginger tea and bay. Tumeric twice a day ginger tea 5 times a day.
    We want heaviest meal at noon. And soup soup soup for dinner.
    I asked about breakfast. 2 scrambled eggs and a 4 ounces any flavor yogurt.

    What then is that which recognizes awareness? Not recognizing awareness also implies that something is unaware in this moment but what is this something? What is it doing when it's not recognizing awereness? Is it the mind (all mental faculties)? Is it awareness itself?

    • @luismoref

      What recognises awareness is the real you, you can't be aware of being unaware, the moment you realize you are unaware you become aware, but being aware of being aware is to recognise what you truly are, which is Awareness/Consciousness.

      During meditation sessions:
      Do not fight them, do not feed them either. Remain as relaxed as you can and be aware of them, know what is happening in your mind, but don’t give any additional energy in either direction. Slowly, slowly they will start fading with the days going by and someday subside entirely
      Outside of meditation sessions:
      The more you invest in making your mind proud and happy with you in everyday life, the more it is going to willingly come to your aid in whatever form you might need it and offer concentration, creativity, etc without you having to try and squeeze it out of it. An extreme example of the opposite would be if you were to rob a bank - you would have constant worries about someday getting caught and trouble focusing even without OCD

    I’m a little lost. If you don’t recognize your own watch, the watch cannot tell you time? A watch is a watch, if it’s working it’s gonna tell you time regardless, so why would it matter whether or not I recognize it? I’m not being sarcastic, I literally am trying to better understand his analogy if anyone can please explain?

    • @jasvir17
      @jasvir17 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The analogy was that the watch has the capability of telling you the time but if you do not look at the watch, then you will not know the time. The watch telling the time is useless on your watch unless you look at it. Similarly, you cannot benefit from meditation unless you sink into awareness which is the only way you will get the benefit of all of the qualities of awareness.

    • @DuongTran-mh7ci
      @DuongTran-mh7ci 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think it means you have a watch or somebody gave you a watch but you dont know its a watch, you dont recognise it a watch then if course you cant use it to tell the time. A watch has a dial with numbers, arabic, or Roman and two or three hands. You have evenn to learn how to tell the time, if not you cant tell the time. To be more clear, you have never seen, heard the sound of, touched, used a watch before, you have never cognised a clock and stored this cognition of a clock in memory, then if course you wont be able to REcognise it. This is cognitive psychology. If you have no cognition of a chair, you wont sit on one when you see it although you really want to sit down on something to rest. Another anology is if you have a big diamond but you dont know its diamond then you treat it like a piece of valueless rock and use it as a stand for a cooking pot or throw it around the house. Until someone tell you its diamond do you wow and appreciate it and may sell it for millions of dollars and buy a big house etc.

    What happens when you become familiar with your awareness?

    • @DuongTran-mh7ci
      @DuongTran-mh7ci 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you are familiar with your awareness then you have lost awareness. To be aware is to be the beginner’s mind, fresh, like a tourist who is visiting a place for the first time everything is fresh and interesting. In contrast to a local who has been living in the locality for so long and everything is boring. Life is a flux like a fluid changing continuosly so with awareness you see things changing, your awareness is fresh always, because you have to be aware of new things at all times, even for a moment in time. When you get up in tge morning you dont get bored with the sun rising, the breakfast you eat altho you’ve seen these already countless times.

    What is the quality of awareness, anyway?

      The quality of awareness is to know. Its the most precious thing of all. If you look at something and you gave no ability to know what it is then you cant operate at all. To know here means to process what you contact and have a perception of it. When you stand in front of a tree, if you dont have awareness you wont be able to form a picture of a tree on your retina, upside diwm first then reverse it in the brain and you see a tree. Seeing a tree is a common term for a spiritual experience of being aware of a tree. This thing called awareness without which visual consciousness cant be produced ie you cant see things outside you. Similarly awareness is to produce taste, smell, thought, sense of texture...without awareneness you dont “know “ the outside world.

    I don't know how to tell if I RECOGNISE my awareness! How does a person know whether or not they "recognise" their awareness?

    • @Awfki

      For me it's become about knowing. Most of the time I'm on autopilot. I "know" what I'm doing but there I don't _know_ that I'm doing it. Sometimes though, I remember to be awake. And I see hands in front of me and a keyboard and the autopilot is still there, typing, but now I'm watching. That's what I meaning by knowing, it's the difference between the autopilot's knowing and _my_ knowing. I don't believe in mystical mumbo jumbo but the third eye is a great metaphor for it but because that's exactly what it feels like. An extra eye has opened and suddenly you're seeing things that you don't normally see. Of course you do see them, but you don't know that you're seeing them. :)

      @@theoretickle2084 Imagine going to the movie and you see the blank white screen before the movie starts. after it starts very soon you dont see the screen anymore, because the movie has caught your attention. sometimes you snap out of it and you see the screen again, or the courtains hanging next to it etc. that is like awareness, the screen is always there, but you don't see it when you're caught up in a story. likewise your mind is telling you a story most of the time.
      you can start seeing it as such, when you practice meditation. to start try paying attention to your breath. it acts as an anchor to awareness. as soon as you notice that you don't focus on your breath anymore, take a note of what youre doing, like thinking or scratching your leg, and bring your attention back to the breath. that moment where you take the note of what you're doing is awareness. dont worry if you missed something, that is inevitable, instead try to catch the next one.

      You recognise your awareness if you feel alert to whats going on . You know vety clearly whats going on. In other word you are sensitive to whats going on in your mind, your sensations, thoughts, emotions etc. and not carried away by any of those. You have to maintain that recognition. Its the result of long time meditation practice to establish and strengthen your mindfulness to always recognise your awareness. Not easy job, but knowing what is required you dont get disappointed easily, mindfulness building is slow, not easily perceptible, but accumulative.

      This is only a preliminary teaching, just pointing out what something is. To know what something is is important. A student needs to search and research if he is really interested. Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche has given many lectures giving instructions elsewhere around the world. Seek and you will find.
